The dip into beastmaster to grab cool and powerful spells to show off in a single job challenge is neat and better than some silly technicality anyway

Okay. Confusing enemies to get Blue Magic is supposed to work, but since you played the PR version before it got patched (that added boost etc.) said quirk was bugged, and Confused enemies always casted the blue spells on themself. The recent patch should fix said bug.

When I played FF5 for this first time back when it came out for the GBA I actually knew what Blue Mage did because of FF7 and the enemy skill materia. But actually finding the spells and such was a different story, lol. I remember trying Blue Mage out and getting Goblin Punch and Aero and that was about it. I wish they had more in game ways to find out if a monster had a blue magic spell or not.

Loving the series so far. FFV has always been one of my favorites. Looking forward to seeing Summoner!

the funniest thing to do with Blue Mage is to hit Old, then go for the lv 5 death, by spamming the pause button to make sure the ticks land correctly.

I love these vids. Backlog Buster is the John Madden of challenge videos, lol. Just need to work in drawing circles around something, with some squiggly lines, and some onomatopoeia's like Thwak, snork, thunk, Zok, & Zorp. Dancer is going to be interesting. Specially once Krile joins the party. Every time she dances there is a chance Steven Segal jumps (what? lol. I meant waddles) out of a bush and tries to make her his new Girlfriend.

I know a lot of these are all already recorded, but I really think you should get the other classes as early as you get the first crystal, just to showcase more of it whenever possible instead of freelancer. That said, loving the series! Keep 'em coming!

Blue Magic is my favorite thing in all RPGS and its debut in FF5 is phenomenal

You can actually still find Mythril Dragons in world 3 even after the library gets sucked

The Charm spell on Vampire (the Blue Mage job from Bravely Defauly) DOES actually make enemies use their helpgul abilties on you. I am very thankful for that. Also confusion can work as well

I feel the pain of not being able to get some blue magic. Im doing a 4 job playthrough. Rolled blue mage, red mage, ranger,l and samurai. I can confirm that at least white wind and transfusion can be obtained by the confuse spell in the GBA version of the game.

Aw, someone else did Blue Mage only while dipping into BeastMaster this week. I'd love to see a run without it! I do feel a bit cheated.

If you had a full team of level 5, goblin punch does octuple damage and you just kill Karlaboss

Blue mage run should allow for acquisition of control skill.

I have the pixel remasters on pc and all updated, and they all still have that scrolling ficker and tear thing on both my pcs.. ive done all the tricks and fixes and even the fps mod for them with no luck.. I just can't unsee it, and it drives me bannanas 😢

I'm surprised you didn't fight Shinryu since Blue Mage kind of has the best shot of doing it. Dark Spark does work... lol (at your level it would be around ~9%)

I used a guide for blue magic my first playthrough. Spells are crazy broken.

Can you play through a SaGa game with only martial arts? Id say Monstrel Song is the gane where Fists only isnt broken, but also not impossible

I still wish they toned down rods. Breaking for ara magic was a good rebalance in FF 6.

I wonder if blacklog will make a extra run with freelancer, where they can only equip abilitys from theirs respective crystal. Would be a nice run and bonus this make sense to me beacuse galuf need re learn his skill after Earth crystal was shattered because in this very moment he recover his memory as a former earth crystal warrior and the others are the news members that learn new skill as soon they get some pieces from wind, water and fire crystals😂 Edit: grammar . I don’t mean this in a negative way, but you have a voice for ASMR. Your mic / production are so soothing I fell asleep to this but woke up and subbed. This isn’t a /s. I subbed because I’d love more chill challenge strat videos to fall asleep to. Could be a blessing in disguise

Sad that PR nerfed the hell out of confuse so you can't get certain enemy spells. At least as an alternative for healing you could use Flamethrower with a Flame Shield + Flame Rod. #DeathByMath

Never write off blue mages cause I thought they suck just that I'm too lazy to do the research lol

YES BUT THE BEST way to heal can't be done NO monster uses White Wind on your OWN party so theirs really no way to learn it and the Vampire/Red Feast Blue Magic SUCKS since its SINGLE target and won't WORK on Undead enemies.

Using Beastmaster/Control to fill out the blue mage list is not cheating on a blue mage challenge.

Gonna throw this out here, since I've seen like 3-4 of these now. Not sure why you didn't run a mod to have the job you want/need the WHOLE run. Since Freelancer is the only one that can see the whole game naturally.

I know you can say that you could have easily beat the game before going for control, and I'm sure you could, but I gotta say it probably would have been more interesting to see your experience with Neo-Exdeath without Mighty Guard and White Wind.

Runs are kinda dumb when you can just use elemental rods when you hit a wall to be honest
