Atriox was the dead brute. After being punched by Master Chief hundreds of times, he vowed to get revenge and created the covenant splinter faction to do so. This is totally canon too.

This reminds me on how i allways wanted to see a halo game done in the SW Battlefront style. Big battles where you start with grunts and marines, and earn points to get better classes like spartians, hunters and elites followed by groups of ai grunt, etc. I think the halo universe would have been perfect to incoperate that type of gameplay.

Harc, Monopoli and Nibre deserve most of the credit, I got lucky and accidentally did the first step and loaded the Arbiter into his dead body and they figured out becoming other characters/vehicles from there. I have some new originals on my channel, an Elite on Cairo, Sentinel on Sacred Icon, and recently I played as Sergeant Johnson.

"player model" bipeds my dude, in the files they're referred to as bipeds. funfact, the MC model and elite model for MP are cyborg_mp and elite_mp respectively. at least in Halo 1, though I do believed it carried over since the engine is similar in a lot of ways between the entries

So that hologram of the prophet is actually something that spawns in, me and my friend have gotten to that room on the previous level without loading in any enemies and the prophet is not there, but his chair is... that would be so funny and cool if you could figure out how to turn in to him, or if you even can

That actually sounds really fun if you could choose what you play as, something like Halo 5’s co-op. I feel like it would be very buggy and it might suck play as a Hunter since they have to walk on vehicle segments and might not fit through some doors.

My first question was: "How would I fix this?" Which was simple, depending on how the loaded items are rendered, but then I wondered, "Why would I fix this?" I had no answer to that one....

I've studied comp Sci and I gotta say you did a reasonably good job of explaining this. Good job bro The list for the player models should be emptied and refilled when you quit and join back in so if there's a hard coded index for the chief model say 16 in the array and you managed to keep 1 item in there with the bug you'll end up looking at index 16 which is 1 element off of the chief. At least that's what I'm getting from your explanation. Absolutely mad that people found this out. A fix to this would be to scan the array list on entry to make sure it's empty before repopulating it.

This reminds me of the Super Mario World speed run where you manipulate the code by doing in game actions. One thing I've always wanted in Halo just because I thought is would be cool and funny is playing as a Hunter but then having a Grunt jump on your back and hold onto the spines to cover your back... this is probably the closest I'll get to that.

That's the grunt that survived every encounter with Master Chief.

Super excited to do this on pc. Should be able to set exactly what you want to be in cheat engine based on how you explain to the code

This makes me wonder if you could potentially play as an unused model in the game like the flood juggernaut or the space blimps. They may not have those IDs that you talk about in the beginning of the videos so that could make it impossible, but in the off chance that they do it would be amazing to get something like that in game with no modding whatsoever

Halo 2 speedruns 30 years from now: it’s played on co-op because you can break the kill barriers by becoming enemies. Fastest strats involve become drones and flying to the end of the mission.

For some reason I remember a mode where I actually played as a grunt when I was a kid and still had no clue what I was doing lol

I reeeeally want infinite to have a reference of chiefs best friend being the grunt you find inside of chiefs quarters on whatever ship or HQ we have

They should do a Battlefront style game mode where Covenant and Humans are each separated in classes. So like how you have Droideka, after a certain number of points you could play as a Hunter or Chieftain etc. They already did something like this in Halo Wars with the ability to spawn in major characters like the Arbiter and stuff.

Also, when you talk about player 2 becoming a dead Brute on Gravemind, that's actually a huge thing that deserves a video, as well. Maybe you can reach out to DrBizz about the "Dead And Alive" glitch. That's the glitch that evolved and led to the AUP glitch, and he was the first person to intentionally recreate it a couple years back. There was video footage of various people in the mid-2000's being dead-and-alive, but nobody know why or how for years until Bizz figured it out. While the AUP glitch looks more exciting and is more recent, the Dead-And-Alive glitch is insane in its own right, because it lets you go through death barriers, solid objects without dying (because you're already dead), and lets you explore other impossible-to-otherwise-get-to areas. Anyway, keep up the great work and thanks for this video!
