I remember Sips playing Firewatch. But he didn't trust whatsherface and so never told her anything personal except that his dog died. So in the big emotional ending dialogue all she could encourage "you" with was to get a new dog or something. It was very underwhelming.

RU-vidr Hollow played blind it on his 2nd channel and did the series so dirty lol. I think only Zaeed survived ME2 and after that disaster, he didn't bother with ME3

@@5Andysalive I hate when you see a youtuber playing a game so wrong and then they complain about the game. I watched a playthrough of dead space 3 and the two guys complained the whole time about how the necromorphs were randomly taking either entire magazines to kill or a handful of bullets, they never figured out that you shoot them in the limbs........

@@retrospectus I remember getting sick of how many times dead space 2 shoved the whole “shoot them in the limbs” thing in your face, I think even halfway through the game you’d find graffiti telling you to do so I didn’t realize it was so necessary, I didn’t know you could play any dead space game without knowing about its core gameplay mechanic

@@BrotherMag Udina is enjoyably petty and selfish, I love to hate on him. Kai Leng just sucks. He's a massive tryhard wannabe weeb who never actually does anything cool - just brags about how great he is, no matter how much his ass gets kicked. He's made worse by being the focus of one of the books - the worst one by a mile at that (the author seemed to have not read the previous books or source material, its laughably poor and insulting to the previous writer's work). Where he, yet again, sucks while being incredibly smug the entire time.

Some of the voice acting, especially Shala'Raans, is actually really great. If you don't want to play that route (understandable) I would totally recommend looking up videos. Especially if Legion is alive the whole scenes with them on Rannoch are fantastic voice acting between them.

And if you prevent yourself from using the get-out-of-jail-free card paragon/renegade options, the choices can be more interesting or thought provoking.

That's how my first playthrough went.. I played ME3 in a local internet cafe.. I didn't get to make any choices for ME1 or 2.. everyone's dead except Kaidan I think....

I couldn't stop wre dying in me1 so I had to deal with wreav, and tali was my only death in my suicide mission, don't reccommend

@@wesleyeberly228 I wonder if those spots were never intended to be filled and were always just meant to be for show. Jon killed so many companions and crew that the game had to delete names.

In fact Abishek Pakti and co are visible on the wall at 2:14, but have disappeared by 23:05, so presumably at some point Shepard looked at the wall and went, 'Need to thin this out a bit, people might start asking questions.' So I think the wall is as full as it can get, and there will always be 5 empty slots at the bottom.

But the civilisations are not wiped out (By flying hands with one laserbeam at the time). OF course you can shoot the kid and thus let the cycle go on. That should get your friends list empty.I found that out by accident because the arrogant reaper brat was just annoying. Turns out he had the last laugh.

I laughed so hard at that. Never saw it in my playthrough and it's a shame the players have to choose one or the other!

It really is impressive that even if there are some plotholes and missing scenes, the game functions and the story actually has so many contingencies

To be honest, I'm kind of surprised Jon didn't save the Breeder Queen. Because (Spoilers) if you killed the Rachni Queen in ME1 and then save the cloned Breeder Queen in ME3 then what happens is after you save them the Rachni betray you and decimate one of the Alliance Engineering Corp war assets.

You can kill him in his loyalty mission if you wait until after the collector base and go the paragon route.

Should have kept Wrex alive, betrayed him in ME3 to have Krogan support withdrawn.

I put off the Grissom Academy mission for too long (I wanted to bring Kaidan there to see if he had any unique dialogue and he can't be recruited until after the Cereberus attack) and accidentally got that part. You can find some truly awful audio logs as well about her transformation. :(

Kind of a shame you have to kill one of the best characters in the series to get that comedy goldmine, so many fewer people would see it.

@@ManyATrueNerd The game is built so that you are liked. They literally didnt design it so that EVERYONE hated you, which is why Liara flirted with you for instance.

If you play as a Male Shep, cheat on Ashley and make her hate you in mass effect 3, you get her death scene where she tells you to go hell.

I think he needed to visit her at the hospital and chose the Renegade options.

That ending's rather sweet though - I'm happier with my broken ghost-people ending.

I think she has Glyph programmed to send out the message if she's dead, and she already had it recorded.

If Bioware had any balls... nothign. The cycle would go on and no warning makes the Reapers lose the next round. But i guess after the whole ME3 ending debacle a complete non-happy end was off the table.

The low-EMS Destroy ending sounds like it decimates everyone, even species that would be beneath the Reapers' notice in this cycle, and leaves the galaxy in a post-apocalyptic state. Notice Starbrat's wording: "Few *organics* will survive the blast. Fewer still will survive the days to come." Not spacefaring races, "organics." And even though he talks about technology, the scene on Earth shows the blast vaporize a bunch of humans who show no signs of cybernetics, indicating that even flesh is not safe. So it's debatable which ending actually kills the most people---choosing low-EMS Destroy over refuse saves a remnant of the current spacefarers, but at the cost of most of the non-spacefarers.

Even if they meet a guy who helps them out and is really inspiring, why would those facts make people completely flip their personal standards and morality for a person they only met a limited time ago.

@@JhenMaster indeed. Sadly this concept with companions and loyalty missions has become completely formulaic and predictable. Together with faction-score plots and precise 34/50) skill success predictions (vs.% or dice rolls) i call that Excel stories. You can feel the plot writers flowchart when you play it. Mass Effect 2 does the loyalty mission thing so extensively it feels almost like a mockery of the concept... But i fear it wasn't.

The few episodes leading up to that were excellent for anyone who had already played a dark side run and wanted to see Jon kill everyone

@@Themilesrock Haha yeah if you talk to him between missions and encourage him to not hold onto his husband's death he survives the crash. You still get Shepard yelling STEVE! but then Cortez is like "I'm okay!" it's actually kind of hilarious

In a playthrough it's kind of expected to see him ... play. I have no issues with the Yolo series episodes. If anything some are unusually short. But apart from some looting and stuff they cut out anyway, it's cool to have as many of it in. Also means more video content per playtime. He can't play always 2 and a quarter games for 3 days worth of video. But i agree on the rest, given 1&2 were just 15 minutes. May have been a editing time contraint.

YOLO tends to keep more in because every single second of the playthrough is terrifying. Even things as simple as walking from place to place become a significant risk, and so Jon needs to plan it out, and even a single bloatfly can become notable. I do get what you mean though. I can totally understand the slow pacing of YOLO dragging it down for people. Jons petrified paranoia does spice things up for me, but it is still a lot of suspense that only occassionally has a payoff.

The Alliance, Council, and Cerberus sold Shepard's advertiser data. Even the far future does not save you from email lists.
