Yeah but they can’t make diamonds rarer bc then it completely kills strip mining (which I have 3 stacks of diamonds currently doing) but really I think they should maybe make a way that the just spawn less in the caves. Idk what you think?

@@jaredgruber3838 you're not getting the point. If you don't light up the whole cave along with fighting the mobs, you'll not get these much diamonds. I think it gives us 2 options, to either continue strip mining or just light up the whole cave. Your choice.

Actually diamonds spawn more when they aren't exposed to "air" blocks so strip mining is the best way to find diamonds.

Diamonds are still rare, but with the wide open caves and with more depth added to the world of course diamonds will show up more.

It’s not too easy: 1 mojang fixed the doors glitch so it’s hard not to drown 2 It would be super dark and you couldn’t see anything 3 wardens

I could be wrong, but if I remember right, the cliffs aren't coming until 1.18 now, Mojang/Microsoft decided to split it into two updates.

Wadzee the diamonds have still the same chance at appearing the caves are just bigger so you see more blocks at once which leads to finding diamonds. Plus as you said the early snapshots werent perfect (;;;・_・)

Digging straight down has never been so dangerous, imagine playing a ugh, digging down and just dying as you fall 100 blocks into a cave

Imagine speedruns in this. Strongholds generate below y 0 after 21w07a, so ocean exposed strongholds are not an option. You could fall, not only a hundred blocks into a cave, but onto a pointed dripstone, which triples your fall damage if I am not wrong.

@ShadowCat 1442 Actually, I gathered a strategy for getting all pearls in 1.16.2+ in a very short time. Basically, you have to find an igloo with a basement, and the basement has to be above an underground lava pool. You get the gap and weakness pot from the basement, lure the zombie villager near the lava pool, make a portal, lure the villager through it, pot and gap it to cure it, then go get blaze rods and some gold. When you come back, the villager is cured. You place the brewing stand from the basement next to it, then trade 10 emeralds (gotten via shipwreck from before), then once it is at level 2 you can do the gold trade twice to easily get up to the level where it sells pearls with 12 emeralds. Since it is cured, each pearl will be 1 emerald.

they didn’t increase diamond rates, they’re the same however all the caves are so open, that almost all generated diamonds are visible

Yeah in hindsight they should've known this would've been the result. Diamonds were harder to obtain before because of narrow cave formations and with being so close to bedrock they were usually engulfed in stone (which meant strip mining). I honestly think they should reduce diamond spawning by 40%.

yeah, he didnt place single torch the whole video. if you play normally with gamma and brightness settings at normal levels, these caves would be pitch dark, and the underwater part especially wouldnt be that easy since you cant place torches underwater, and thus cant see shit, so you would miss 90% of the diamonds wedzee got/saw on this whole video.

Just dig a 1×2 hole and place the door/trapdoor in it. You can then breathe underwater!!

All you need is 5 solid blocks and a bucket You go to the roof of cave, make a plus formation with 4 making up the plus and one elevated block from the rest Then take the water from the plus and you are left with a nice breathing hole or you can just dig into the ceiling

Really? I legit went random world on the beta and found 5 emeralds just walking around a cave near spawn, didn't go more than 3 chunks away from spawn at the most too
