i think a 2.0 version of this challenge would make it so that every sunflower you place increases the cost of other plants (because sun flowers are basically just money printers)

I didn't understand the premise at first. I thought you meant that each plant would permanently cost more each time it was planted. That might be a cool mod. Make a plant cost +5 each time it's planted (permanently).
Cool idea! But I was wondering. What if instead of 50 sun increases, it was 10, or even 5, BUT, they don't reset when the level ends? That way you'd have to limit yourself in the early game to as few plants as possible.

Impossible: night levels require sun producer or puff. You start with 50 sun. You can only use sunflower once, sun shrooms 6 and puff shrooms, once, in order to clear levels. You get 8 night and fog levels, but there are 16 sun based night and fog levels.

And not to mention peashooter,you also has to limited them,that mean you cant putting all 5 of them each line because it cost increase like shit load already,even with trick like restart from the loaded checkpoint will not work all in your favor since all land must have as least 1 zombie walking in,the game is seriously speaking is long,and then there is night stage Force to using sun generator plant,you cant abuse 0 shroom because it cost even bigger,do you even think about it?!? @@anti-spiral159 I mean, this isn’t inflation anyway. It’s economic demand. (Well, at these rates it’s price gouging, but you know.) Inflation would scale all Sun prices to the amount of sun in the economy. I imagine it would snowball based on the amount of sun produced in each level?
the problem i have with the system is that different plants don't grow by different amounts threepeaters for example should increase in price much quicker than they do, since just 2 of them saves 650 sun compared to placing down 6 peashooters
@@fortnitesexman Funny thing: while your complaint makes sense, the mod he did do is much closer to how real inlation works, if two threepeaters is more than enough defense, people are only buying a couple at a time. But peashooters and Sunflowers are bought in bulk (the inspiration of the challenge in the first place) so it makes sense that Threepeater doesn't inflate much. Although for balance, making high cost inflate more would help make it fair, so long as cheaper plants also increase more slowly (like 25 for the cheapest, maybe 100 at most for the priciest plants)
@@fortnitesexman while true that speaks to the entire balance of pvz sadly im too dumb to explain but essentially is just an upgreade from it so it makes sense? it depends on how you use it too for example i used the treepeaters as a repeater rather than like the weird stuff others did with it but with inflation yeah thats broken
@@SnoFitzroynot really. If the supply of threepeaters are low, then the inflation for buying each one goes up higher. And since threepeaters are "large" plants, it would make sense that the inflation of threepeaters increase fast.
Inflation isn't the same as raise in prices because of offer and demand. Inflation is the printing of more money. Adding more money to an economy leads to raise in prices even if the number of people buying a certain iten doesn't change at all.

The inflation feature sounds like a good idea for a mini Game or even an entire alternative harder difficulty (atleast if the inflation costs we're smaller, like and increase of just 5% to 10%)
Sunflowers getting +10 cost per planting is a mechanic I can get behind to balance sunflowers, so using them as spam to tank zombies becomes less practical. Flowerpots acting the same would also be interesting. Separating them more from pads.
