Can you Beat Pokemon Crystal with ONLY SNEASEL? 

If Sneasel was available earlier in-game and it's attack and special attack stats were switched almost everybody would've used it in Gen 2 or Gen 4. It's really unappealing to use a late game Pokemon as the grind is a little crazy

I’ll never understand the stats they gave sneasel in this game. I’ll really never understand why they placed it at the end of the game... so I never used one. But YetiKruger was kind of badass, even with all this going against it! You made my boyfriend groan out loud with “ferrets wheel”. Thank you 😂 Edit: also I will keep nagging you for a sentret in silver run 😂 even though sentret is pretty good. But it’s for the algorithm right? XD

I always thought sneasel was an overpowered pokemon just because of how awesome it looks. Had no idea it's typing made it terrible. I just remember the few times i actually encountered it in game it would hit like a truck

I love Sneasel even though its stats are doodoo (before the special physical split). Shame it's such a late game encounter. And while Icepath in crystal makes sense, Mt. Silver in Gold/Silver? Really Gamefreak?!

Feint Attack over Shadow Ball? Even if you want an attack to strike through evasion/accuracy, Swift exists as a physical option. Plus, the Fog Badge will boost Shadow Ball’s damage.

My favorite Pokemon, which was born from jealousy of the rival Silver stealing one early before I could ever get one at Mt. Silver (thank god for Crystal for the Ice Path, yet my eventual second fave Murkrow wasn't so lucky).... I have too many Gen 4 memories with this damn baby no thanks to my sister's finished Platinum used as a breeding ground.....ah, good things...one long comment by me on Scott's Thoughts' video on his Sneasel solo run for Crystal basically summed it all up. And honestly, despite it being stolen from Kirk/Seiji from Cianwood, Sneasel/Nyuula really does fit Silver to a tee, and by proxy Weavile (as also with Cyrus/Akagi).

WRONG Freezing the Charizard WILL help because it can't USE Flamethrower until it thaws back out because a frozen mon needs to be HIT by a fire move, not USE a fire move, in order to do that. Freeze may be on a timer in Gen2 onward but that caveat has always been there.

I really like the lighthearted tone and jokes in your run. It really stands out compared to the more sciency-serious challenges, and weile they are also interesting, you always manage to make me laugh or smile

Funny thing is, Sneasel is available in Gold and Silver in the Ice Path, during the night. But not in Crystal. Somebody up and stole the players the chance to catch one in Johto, huh...

There are 2 pokemon I always questioned why they weren't available earlier in game. Sneasel and my favorite pokemon Teddiursa, which are both found at Mt. Silver. Coincidence? I think not.

Regarding that Whitney battle, wow you're very lucky that Clefairy's metronome megahorn missed and that it didn't get a chance to utilize fury cutter after it mimicked it. Also, I think dirty/cheap strats like double team, swagger, king's rock, and freeze chances (the latter two you did utilize) are honorable. I mean at least you used these strats as more of a "last resort" so I CAN get behind that. Your hand was forced and you did what have to do to complete the challenge, understanding that is honorable enough. As always, good run good sir. And hey, short message for once!

I came for the challenge run, but stayed for the puns. Also love how what sort of animal sneasel is supposed to be (cat? badger? ferret?) is a persistent mystery. I'm not sure what your community consensus is, but I'm all for hacking in a few rare candy for post-game challenges (Red, Steven, etc), only so many hours in a lifetime and grinding just feels bad. Definitely subscribing to see what you run next!
