Been wanting to see a Fire monotype type playthrough. Skeldirge is amazing and so is Amarouge, since I've used both on different teams and I know there are more amazing fire types in Paldea.
I love Scovillain! We FINALLY got our grass/fire type after so long, and I really enjoyed using it on my team, especially with a Sunny Day/Heat Rock combo and Chlorophyll + STAB Flamethrower
I have massive respect for this guy just straight up slaughtering any Shinies he comes across just because it’s not the right type. If it were me, I’d definitely just catch them but not use them during the Nuzlocke.
Definitely skeledirge for me as my favourite fire type this gen. Love it's design and signiture move looks cool. Tbh the all 3 fire ghost we got recently have been awesome hopefully chandelure comes back I'd love to do a fire/ghost playthrough with Skeledirge, H Typhlosion, Cerluedge and Chandelure.
One of my best friends and I have been doing single type run through for over 20 years. Usually not the first play through but back in the HM era we’d just have to do a 5 and 1. In order to make it through the game. It’s definitely a fun way to play not nuzlocke hard but casual challenge. My favorite run through was Pokémon X with an all normal team.
I just finished a Violet nuzlocke up and wow Skeledirge is absolutely busted in this game, especially a nuzlocke. Once it’s fully evolved and you can buy a choice scarf, he just becomes a fast tank that every turn boosts his special attack on top of tera fire.
I prefer Ceruledge with Bitter Blade and Flare Blitz combo. If you really wanna add speed, do a couple flame charges and then a flare blitz. Then bitter blade to regain health.
I absolutely love Dudunsparce! Not exactly what i was looking for in a Dunsparce evolution but its quickly growing on me (i have 6 shiny 2 segment forms already, trying my hardest for the 3 segment form) Video idea: Can you beat Pokemon Scarlet/Violet with your pokemon choosing their own moves? My wife showed me that when a pokemon learns a new move you can ask your pokemon what they want to do! I think it would be interesting to see and try!
@@luckypanda512 yes! It has only like a 1%-4% chance of happening and there is no way to tell if your dunsparce will be 2 or 3 segments and no way to change it so its all up to chance
Fun fact you can get a houndour early by glitching over the fence, you just hop on the rocks and encounter a pokemon on a ledge you need the jump ability for, when you encounter a hoppip, fletchling or lechonk you teleport onto the ledge which you then jump down on the right of the fence walk along until you get to the first koraidon encounter and jump down! Boom free houndour!
You should try ice type only next! It’s what I’m doing right now, and I’d love to see how your strategy differs from mine. Also while I too was annoyed by Nemona’s lucky lycanroc, that Pokémon ended up being my first shiny, so I can’t bring myself to hate it lol
The main issue with mono-ice is that the extreme majority of ice types are only available upon reaching Mt. Glaseado, leaving the only earlygame ice options as Shellder (with Water Stone being easy to nab on the ground for a quick Cloyster), Glaceon (via rushing Glaseado and avoiding every mon like a death plague while hoping for ground item pickup RNG for an Ice Stone), a Snom from an NPC trader, and...well crap that's kind of it for pre-lvl40 wild mons. Interestingly, there is a cave where one can get a Frigibax at the mid-20s but that's still not really an earlygame option. So that's relying on a Cloyster/Glaceon/Frosmoth team for most of the game. Which, funnily enough, doesn't actually have much of a problem with the first half of the gym leaders so leveling isn't an issue. What is a problem is Nemona's Tera Pawmot, since Shellder is the only ice type obtainable before that encounter. And...yeah, that might straight up require evolving into Cloyster just to be able to pass that.
@@joshuakim5240 That’s why my early game was just powering through high level areas for evolution stones, and because I honestly didn’t know you could get shellder before getting the ability to swim, I just used quaxly through the tutorial and immediately replaced it with glaceon who proceeded to solo the first two gyms and titans.
@@cryolitegem Lol i did a ton of research just to see if i could 100% pure ice the whole game and my only reprieve was finding out that you can rush to some nearby shorelines at the start where some lvl 11-12 Shellder hang out. Then i was reminded of Nemona's demonstration of Tera hats and got obliterated so badly by that Pawmot that it rage fueled me scrounging for a Water Stone for revenge.

So just saying but you could have gotten a Throat Spray held item for Skeledirge during the Medali fights. It raises your special attack by 1 stage when you use a sound based move and Torch Song definitely counts as one. Says you can get one in Mesagoza but I'm not sure if you need a few badges to unlock it for purchase.
I really love charcadet’s design. I’ve played miscrits back in 2012 fb gaming era. My starter is Flue and it has some points really similar to Charcadet’s design. I miss miscrits so much and I feel a bit nostalgic with that pokemon.
My favorite Pokémon fire type is............................................................................................................................ Fenikin, an Bananakin that ain't panakin for the Manakin.
A torch song from Skeledirge, with 6 sp atk boosts, is 640 power this is included with stab. So.. Skeledirge is pretty damn good if you can max out that sp atk.
@@naveengraze i see it the same as most exclusive moves. This Gen it’s exclusive but will likely get put on new pokemons generations for more Pokémon to learn
"I don't think you want to be friends with someone called Mr. Arsonist" Me: On the contrary, if your friends with an arsonist then they're less likely to burn down your house
I haven’t got up to the ice gym yet, but I am always wary of it because it’ll most likely have water types, I usually try to use electric and fighting types
My Armarouge is too powerful for his own good. Unfortunately my Crocalor, Scovillain, Flareon, Houndour, and Fletchinder died way too young. I rebuilt my team from ashes and have Armarouge, Litleo, Oricorio, Carkol, Larvesta, and Tauros (Blaze Breed)
For those of you who don’t know what crocalor is wearing, it’s a fiery egg. And this egg actually hatches when crocalor evolve into skeledirge cause you can see a fiery little chick on skeledirges face, and that is what he sings with and that’s why the attack also is a bird
He should’ve explored the land more and found a Numel. Would’ve been useful against the Electric Gym. Either that or focus on catching the same pokemon with different personalities. Different personalities means different stats. Wished I had thought stat changes for different personalities.
So, we have: A guy who likes to inflict immense pain A guy who likes to get inflicted with immense pain And a guy who likes to burn down anything remotely flammable. Mister Fister, Mister Masochist, and Mister Arsonist, what a great trio.
Actually, I'm pretty sure that some weathers always happen during certain gym battles, like Snow during Grusha's rematch, sandstorm during Kofu's first battle, rain during Iono's first battle... atleast I've noticed these weathers repeating during multiple playthroughs, but be free to correct me.
The reason for this common occurence is the landscape. The reason it’s usually a sandstorm for kofu’s gym is because it’s next to a desert, same reason for grusha. Other times are random. Pretty impressive detail from gamefreak if you ask me
My favorite fire type pokemon also happens to be my favorite pokemon also which is Flareon. What's also funny is you can get a Flareon early by getting an Eevee and using a fire stone to upgrade Eevee to Flareon before the first gym leader
