For the benefits with friendship you also have a small percent change for your Pokémon to get rid of it's status condition, like burn or poison.

I feel like you could just max a ditto without imposter and then waste the PP before going into battle to use struggle, and when you want the pokemon, you can full restore and transform.

Fun video! However I genuinely think it would have been better had you gone with a team of 3 all the way through. You wouldn't have been able to have as clickbaity of a title, but in exchange: - would've been able to strategize with who you swap in when, "storing" forms for later use, which is tactically interesting. - Would've been able to genuinely stick with the set constraints the whole way through instead of having to carve out exceptions for double battles and camps - Would've been able to overlevel Way less, making for more interesting battles and less grinding - Would've been less RNG dependent - Potentially would've been able to avoid relying on in-battle items Either way, congrats on completing your challenge in the way you wanted to. I doubt you'd circle back and do it differently, just throwing it out there.

I'm pretty sure Clear Smog only removes the target's stat changes, not your own (or another pokemon's in a double battle). Because the opposing leads tend to be so awful, I would have allowed swapping in a useless pokemon for a turn to let Ditto re-transform.

ditto should have at least transfomed into a revavroom when you sent it againts the starmoble

I wonder what battles would have been easier with a limber ditto using struggle instead of imposter ditto. At least then you're using your ditto's own stats.

Surprised you went with an Imposter Ditto, as the usual Ditto-only strat is to Struggle through early opponents, and that's not possible if you auto-transform on start. By the time you reach the midgame where Struggle strats fall off, you can buy Ability Tags to swap around to whichever ability is more convenient

Imagine if every trainer had magikarp as their first Pokémon

It would have probably been easier not using an imposter ditto. Struggling with lvl 30 would probably 1 hit every mon.

Probably should have tried a choice item to beat the poison one. boost your attack. If you were going to use an item, X attack or defense at the beginning of the battle would have probably been better than healing at the end.
