Hey! This is the first "No Badnik" video I have done and I'd like to know if you want to see more videos like this. If so, let me know what games you'd like to see covered in this. Thank you for watching and I hope you have a wonderful and safe day.
Definitely. Other than the classic games, it would be interesting to see how much of Sonic Adventure you can do. Obviously the monkey guarding Red Mountain needs to be destroyed, but that doesn't release an animal so it's fine.
The previous program was sponsored by Egg Black Productions, where once prisoners, always prisoners. And by the Robotization Council; Proudly supported by Dr. Ivo Robotnick and his fiendish fuckeries!
"because I'm using the 1.0 version" Clearly, the clouds have parallax. Obviously that means you are using the 1.1 version, however the 1.1 version still hasn't fixed the spike glitch.
That's not too bad of an idea. It took me about 2 hours to record and it would be a good way to show how I did it. It just might be a bit boring to watch.
@@GottaBeFrank - Have someone on with you criticising your game play every time you kill a badnik. Entertainment right there. Not for you but for us haha
Epic star gamer4523 It would be funny since green hill zone would be the hardest since it has the most easy to get rings and sometimes forces you to get them.
Hmm, I wonder what the lowest score possible is. Also, use save states/rewind in the future lol. It's fine to avoid them as far as a personal challenge goes, but when you're trying to answer whether something's _possible_ or not, there's no reason to not use them.
So Sonic ignores all badniks leaving the helpless animals inside them trapped forever. Then again, this always made me think horribly of the fate for all the badniks I didn't/forgot to destroy. XD
I've recently started watching these types of videos and I LOVE them now I find one on my favourite video game franchise!! YES PLEASE DO MORE!! also I subscribed.
I headcannon that the animals are piloting the robots and attacking Sonic because they secretly don't like him and that Robotnik gifted them these robots as a means to help them take the fight to Sonic. They're working together to defeat a common enemy.
I just did this challenge, and I gotta say, starlight and scrap brain are MUCH easier than spring yard and labyrinth zones. Even marble zone is harder. Labyrinth zone is by far the hardest. I grabbed all the chaos emeralds too, which made it even more difficult.
If only the camera scrolled forwards when you moved, or could do that with a button press, it'd be so much easier, and 2D Sonic would've greatly benefited from that rather than requiring lightning reaction times. That's probably why you hit badniks at all because you couldn't react to them showing up in time.
The alternate story is the animals hate being inside the robot. But, You don’t do anything to save the animals. Same rules as the Robot Pacifist challenge. (The animal capsule doesn’t count.)
This is gonna be a fun series! I think once you get to the 3D era and beyond, some enemies are mandatory. However, the ones that only release Chaos Drives (in Adventure 2) might be a shortcut! Hmm... Can you beat Sonic Colors without collecting a single Wisp? Even the White ones to boost?
Seems I haven’t commented in a while. Nice video, these kinds of challenges are always enjoyable to watch! Btw, if you wanna make act 2 of Starlight more challenging, try beating it without jumping. It’s very possible, and fun, like Captain Toad Sonic edition.
@@GottaBeFrank Ah, I didn't actually expect a reply. I was just making a comment about the weird "order" of the video, I guess. It was kind of strange to see you lay out the rule that you have to "defeat" a badnik to fail the challenge (as in actually defeating it and not just getting hurt by it) at the beginning of the video, only to see you spend so long wondering how to get past something that, according to the rules, you already were able to. Not trying to sound like I'm complaining since it's still a good video, I just thought it was odd, is all.
@@graysongdl It's all good. I guess I wanted to see if it was possible to not make any contact. I think I was considering it too easy to run through and damage boost.
0:33 Ah, I suspected this was made because of those various Super Mario videos about beating a game without doing one common thing...something tells me almost every channel is going to do this at one point. Almost makes me wish my own game was complete, because then I'd make "Can you beat Mary's Magical Adventure without killing a single monster?"...well, come to think of it, a boss requires monsters to be killed, so...I suppose that wouldn't work!
Sonic 2 always has been my most favorite Sonic game since I was a small child in the early 90’s and always will be my most favorite Sonic game ever. So i hope you’ll do that one next 👍
I watch MayroSMM and Ceave Gaming for that kind of challenge run. Sometimes VG Myths. Like not pressing left or no coins or no power-ups. You should try these as well. Disclaimer: Mania is NOT possible without collecting rings. Or without jumping. Except SPZ.
Not much for making comments as you know but I gotta say I like this idea so much, which is why I enjoy the avoiding coins and getting all coins in Mario. Could be interesting to see if you can get all rings in sonic 1 (excluding the special stages) in sonic 2 or S3&K without timing out.
2 months ago I tried beating the game with no rings and got only to marble act 1 with those pushing things, yet I know you can at least get to act 2 with real persicion
My comment is probably gonna be lost, but the reason why he can't do a all coin run like nathaniel is because there are coins in some places that weren't removed from the beta tests of games like sonic 2 so since the places got moved up or down the coins or no longer visible and thus aren't obtained or seen.
