Can You Beat Splatoon 3 Without Walking? -Splatoon Challenge 

The craziest thing about this is not getting curling bombs, why would you do that to yourself

This is essentially just playing Splatoon with tank controls. Quite entertaining!

Not trying After Alterna with the challenge rules? But seriously, would definitely watch this on the prior games story modes and the Octo Expansion.

I must admit, I feel like this would be very interesting and in a similar way to a Minecraft no walking challenge.

This is a really unique idea for a challenge run, I'd love to see you cover the other games like this

So I've tried a Splatoon challenge on my own. Splatoon 3 without camera controls. Basically I went into my switch settings to disable the Y button, set the right stick to act as the left stick, and went into Splatoon settings to disable motion controls and tried to beat Splatoon 3 like that. It's actually rather interesting and I am almost done with it. Will update you once I am finished. Edit: Ok finished the run now for the update I promised. Unfortunately I was unable to fully complete this challenge as the final part of the game right before the final boss has forced me to use camera controls. The part where you're given the zipcaster and have to collect the orbs is what stopped me. The first 2 rooms of this I was able to beat just fine, they were a bit tricky but doable. The 3rd room is what stopped this from being a fully completeable challenge. I had to use the camera 7 times in that room alone. However that was the only time I was required to use camera controls and I was able to beat the game with a minimum of 7 camera usages.

I understand what you mean about the character designs looking kinda funky lol. I’ve been a fan since around 2018 tho so I’ve gotten used to it. Some (like the character Iso Padre from the Splatoon 2 single-player DLC) still give me the creeps, though. I also find it hilarious that Cuttlefish never seems to acknowledge if the player is an Octoling despite his xenophobia. The ending of said Splat2 expansion seems to say that most inklings don’t realize that Octolings are a different species, they just think they’re Inklings who have a funny fashion sense! Always found that hilarious. At 9:45, did you try using the special you had? That dashes you forward before exploding. I don’t know if it could’ve taken you the whole way or if it would’ve fallen through the grate too, though. “Those aren’t birds!” Is annoying when you’re playing regularly too, LOL.

I’d LOVE to see this in Splatoon 2! I can think of a couple Octo Expansion levels that are gonna be fun… ehehe. If you do decide to try Octo expansion, my ONE request is that you at least TRY “Girl Power Station”. That’s level J03/D08.

When you were on the kettle, you could’ve just jumped, turned into squid, move a little bit midair, transform back, rinse and repeat until you get off the kettle

Can you please do this with the other two games and maybe the second one’s expansion DLC? I under stand not doing it immediately after because of a certain dream friend discovery with Magalor, Daroach, and Marx’s air doges being jump replacements.

I really hope you can do a Kirby's Nightmare in Dream Land without jumping at some point. Or Kirby Mass Attack with ONLY jumping because you can move by flicking Kirbies with the stylus.

This just seems like how someone would play if this was their first video game haha

if you throw a bomb you can instantly activate the end pens, it's a neat trick. also your smashdown super literally nukes most enemies, including bosses, meanwhile tenta-missiles would be perfect for your stealth gameplay

Why didn‘t you just used the reefslider to get over the bridge at 9:27? I mean you‘re not walking while using it.

4:00 What if you jumped, (as in pushing the A button), and then turned into swim form while in the air, and then moved before you could get sucked into the kettle, would that work?

Personally I’m kinda sad that the motif they use for completing a round want used in a song. Cause I mean they did that in the other 2 games.

You must not have read the dialogue on the tri stringer or noticed it shoots..yknow..exploding bombs. The moving platforms at roughly 8:00 are where you're supposed to shoot.

I really liked the vid but it feels like you made this way harder on yourself then you had to. Why not move in squid form even without your ink there just to dodge the enemy's attacks? And going from swimming to shooting and then back to swimming is a pretty easy and fast thing to do with most weapons

You know, in the doors doors level, using the reefslider wasn’t out of options. You don’t walk. You ride a shark.

Would be interesting to see this in the other games. The thing with Splatoon 3 challenges is that as long as you can find at least one completable level in Alterna, you can do it over and over to clear the whole map if need be. Splatoon 1 and 2 don't have this problem, you do have to beat every level.

I’m just gonna say that you having never played splatoon before really helped you out. You don’t have muscle memory to screw you over

you can do a dodge-roll with any Dualie type weapon by jumping and holding a direction at the same time while shooting. it can be done twice with all of them but the Dark Tetra Dualies as they have four slides instead of two dodge rolls. dodge rolling should be looked into as a potential movement option for whenever you decide to tackle the second game

I think it would be fun to try this on the remaining levels and see how many are doable.

Honestly I know it probably wouldn't be the next campaign you do, but I'd love to see this challenge with the octo expansion, it's easily the best of the other three campaigns.

To get off a kettle, couldn’t you just jump and then go into octo form in midair and then start moving?

I went through my own challenge in alterna where I beat each level with every weapon, but this is on its own level of difficulty. Awesome video!

Anyways this challenge is actually pretty creative, as no one brings aspects of actual squid and octopus into consideration when making a challenge, because if you were an actual squid in this game, i dont think this game would be very easy… love how the whole reason why this challenge exists is because squids irl cannot walk… then again all land dwelling life evolved from sea life over millions of years so who knows what will happen after humans are dead and only sea life remains 🤷‍♂️

For the grate in Doors and More, you could have just triggered the Reefslider instead

What really helped me in the big man fight was little buddy by throwing him big man gets distracted and goes for him instead of you

you can actually jump off of the kettles and move in the air without walking instead of super jumping to camp

If you need to shoot and dodge, you can still jump. Jumping uses the b button and not the left stick. Also being greedy in Deadly Dance Hall is better than not. If you grab 1 power egg pack and die, you get a profit of 15 eggs. Lastly, don't do this in previous games; their story modes are much worse. Just do everything in this game.

I have all splatoon games except this one. I've wanted to get into the game, but I guess I don't like shooters. I spent more time in the story mode, which doesn't get you much in the Main game...

I feel like getting the curling bombs would help a bit with traveling in this challenge, especially if you upgraded them again to lower the ink cost.

You do a challenge run of splatoon 2's octo expansion. It is considered one of the hardest single player campaigns in the franchise. Plus it is just a great single player campaign experience overall.

You didn't have to super jump when u finish a level, you could just jump them move while floating in swim form

The Octarians are a separate species from the octolings and are created by the octolings cutting their hair.
