This game has dinosaurs and magic. There's no way to know for sure whether or not it's grass.

(If we can determine if the prehistoric floors are either a lawn or a pasture, we can determine if there's a chance it's grass.) Lawn: an area of short, regularly mown grass in the garden of a house or park. (Doesn't count as a lawn since it's neither a house nor a park.) Pasture: land covered with grass and other low plants suitable for grazing animals, especially cattle or sheep. (This *does* count as we see grazing rexes.) Therefore there is a chance that the prehistoric floors can contain grass and therefore shouldn't be touched. tldr: I'm the ultimate nerd that has mastered the art of identifying grass so that I'm able to not touch it.

The texture is just a darker coloration of regular overworld grass I say it's grass, but I like the moss theory

Your theory doesn't SEEM to take into account the hollow earth motif in science fiction nor the link of all games that feature dungeons with their original source which is the Lord of the Rings, which arguably created the High Fantasy genre in fictional works. The prehistoric floors in the skull cavern mines are IN MY OPINION obviously a nod towards the hollow earth, that's why there are dinosaurs as someone has already pointed out. I THOUGHT the layout of the skull caverns with the slow progression from ancient ruins obviously created by people to more primitive levels to be a nod to HP Lovecraft's Mountains of Madness, whereas the mines near Pelican Town are, again IN MY OPINION, more like Moria (I can't remember if that's how it's spelt) in LOTRs that's why they start off as man made and then get dark and filled with characters reminiscent of those in Moria in the Peter Jackson bastardisation from the early 00s. In short, I THINK it could be grass because to accommodate the dinosaurs which are clearly herbivores, there would need to be plants, plants require photosynthesis, as your comment implies but does not state, and the hollow earth motif and lack of total darkness as in the lower levels of the mines would seem to support this. Interesting name BTW OP, it's as if you saw the website BoredPanda and then swapped the "o" in "Bored" for an "a" and then moved it two places to the right to become "Bread". Postscript: If anyone is somehow butthurt by my comments, as is usual on youtube, please rub the haemorrhoid cream you no doubt use constantly on the area and then consider: 1)I'm not being rude, this is simply how I write as if speaking casually. The tone is conversational. Fortunately we don't all speak in the same manner. Please don't interpose your mentality onto my words. 2)Please research my claims, ie read Lord of the Rings, The Mountains of Madness, Journey to the Centre of The Earth and so on, to see if you think there are any similarities. You need 1 iron bar to craft the machine, so you'd have to fish for some iron first.

I was thinking the same thing. Things like stone floor and path completely cover the ground so you wouldn't touch any grass.

He stated at the start of the video that it would ruin the whole challenge though.

@@vilukisu No, because that is different I think, since you can’t set up chairs all around The Valley, when you get on one you can’t immediately get on another, you have to get off first, limiting its uses.

Actually, I need to correct myself: Bombs are essential for mining, not farming. While bombs are useful for tiling, you can level farming with animals.

Before I got the horse, I wasn't able to get to the blacksmith as the gap was too long

@@Shabbs I tried using this but unfortunately you can't hop between chairs without touching the ground in-between.
