@@sergmcmuffin Could use Pokemon that gain that type in future Gens. Could also patch the type in or use but you'd need a physical special split implemented for it to work properly.
It took 17 videos, but I now realize that some poor shmug paid some Pokédollar to see a great Battle Tower Run on Pay-per-View and got like ten hours of Chrism stalling... What a project, GG!
I tried the "non-fully evolved only" which was very challenging to team-build but I got it down eventually. The "middle stage only" is an even harder variant but it's interesting. I'll give it a thought :P. I also completed "Future Fairy types monotype" and I am currently working on team-building a "status moves only" and "no status moves allowed". Finally I am thinking about what would be the lowest BST between all my pokemon that allows me to beat this (go smeargle I suppose) but haven't done too much..
I think a monocolour run (using the official colour designations) would be a lot of fun as something to do after Fairy. And you should totally do Fairy types too! That sounds fun!
I subscribed to this channel over a year ago near the beginning of this series so that I could keep up with it and I can't believe you're finally done now, wow *Unsubscribes* KIDDING! Congratulations on such a huge achievement and thank you for such a fun series. I really look forward to everything else you do in the future 😊 (YES to the bonus episode and I'd love to see this challenge in Platinum and I'd be interested to see if you could do the Battle Hall with one of each type too if you're feeling especially brave)
5:24 it was beyond doubt a rhydon in gen1 and the stadium games, which is why gen 1 players say it's a rhydon, even though it doesn't really look like one now.
Do the fairy type, but also beat it using Anabel’s team? She has really good Pokémon so it might be easier than I think, but you probably wouldn’t be able to use the full stall strategy anymore so it could be interesting
One fourth? lol. A viertel is a quarter in English. Seriously though this team looks like the most painful and drawn out strategy to use of all of the ones you tried. Would be awful to use on the original console, but worse still if you had to slowly watch yourself lose to someone else using this team against you.
Oh snap, I tried to theorycraft how to do this and couldn’t figure out a way that didn’t involve rng hell. Super excited to see how you did it, but here’s my prediction- knock off Hariyama, BP Medicham, swarm hp bug Heracross
Yeah this was hype. So happy that my boy medi got to be the star of the show, but honestly I also need to give mad props to machamp. Did not expect foresight of all things to end up being so clutch because there are SO many holes that covers
Emerald ROM hack would be needed for fairy types. Mono fairies are only weak to poison and steel. They resist bug, fighting and dark and are immune to dragon.
At last, you’ve completed the tower with EVERY kind of type(besides fairy in gen 6, and we have battle maison in X,Y,OR and AS.) So if you’re planning to do this with fairy types, you’ll need to use an Emerald ROM hack that features all generations of Pokemon including fairy types.
Can’t explain how much anticipation there was opening up my subs page each time waiting for this video to pop up! Congrats dude, truly incredible work!
Congrats for completing the Fighting challenge! I used a similar team with the same idea, with Breloom having Swords Dance and HP Rock to sweep, and Heracross at the back in case Breloom goes down. The bad news is, your run is not valid. As others have pointed out previously, your Grass and Rock challenges consist of a Cradily with Curse, which is not viable. It doesn't change the Rock type much, but makes Grass a lot more difficult. Maybe you can consider doing these two again first.
