Can you beat the Battle Tower with only ROCK type Pokemon? 

Lol to this day I’m too lazy to do the battle tower challenges without playing “straight up” so it’ll never happen for me

I completed all of those types myself, just Ground is still troubling me :p. And I indeed used Entei, Absol and Dusclops for pressure stalling haha. Spoiler alert on details below.... Dusclops with Calm Mind and then spam Rest to get through the special attackers (physical attackers were never really a problem for the other ghosts I used). For Fighting I used a bulky Machamp lead with Thief, Scary Face, Foresight and Mud-slap. That leaves Breloom free to control with Spore (except insomnia / early bird). In the end I won with a team where I used Breloom @ Leftovers with Spore Substitute Charm Leech Seed and then setup Medicham @ Salac Berry with Bulk Up, Substitute, Brick Break, Shadow Ball.

Seems like stall is really powerful for this format, if annoying to implement.

I actually tried the Mightyena lead but had much more success with Umbreon. The natural bulk of Umbreon is incredible and allows you to stall many things already with just Rest, Charm and Sand Attack. Then Absol same as Aero but with Baton Pass. Camerupt lead is bad imo as it is slow and gets OHKOd by so many water moves as well as EQ, common moves on QC users. I went with Arcanine for Intimidate, and then with Thief, Charm, Sunny Day (for Ttar) and Roar (for Starmie). 3rd slot was a Charizard as back up in case flash fire shows up and Calm Mind Flamethrower Entei gets walled.

@@tiemen9095 Arcanine can’t lower speed or accuracy, unfortunately, which means stalling with Entei would be unreliable. The only other Fire type that can lower both speed and accuracy besides Camerupt is actually Charizard, but Charizard is the only Fire type that gets Dragon Dance, so it has to be the sweeper.

@@robinsimon4176 Too unreliable and gets wrecked by priority (if you miss you cant sub again at such low hp)

@@LordPhilipJFry Entei has 100 base speed, meaning with Timid nature, the only scary thing is Timid Starmie. Something like Aerodactyl or Dugtrio will usually not 2HKO Arcanine after Charm, meaning that it will be -5 attack at least (or -3 if it does 2HKO). The pokemon that outspeed Entei are vastly outnumbered by scary mons with Quick Claws, which is why Thief is such a powerful move on Arcanine. Also, Arcanine does not get OHKOd unless crit if EVd correctly. Other things that outspeed do not have super effective moves and just don't really threaten Entei all that much. I completed the Fire challenge on my 3rd or 4th attempt or so with that team; I found that lowering speed or accuracy was not needed. I did consider Charizard but unlike Arcanine, it can easily be OHKOd by QC rock moves (very common) as well as fast Thunders and Hydro Pumps or other crits. Arcanine has a much lower chance of dying before it gets a move off and, worst case, at least gets the intimidate off.
