"Commander, pay no heap to casualties. For every conscript who dies in this crusade, there are a thousand more who stand eager to replace him." Well, too bad for them, they'll have to wait.
Excellently done, not a single comrade left behind! That aside, there was some hilarious edits thrown in that got a snort out of me, good stuff. Hoping you do this for YR
Most of the yuri's forces come through a 1 tile wide pass between the cliff and a line of trees next to the first hill right outside your base. You can use your starting kirovs to just bomb that pass and they will kill 90% of all enemy units. This trick makes this mission very easy as well.
@@SoFZlodei24 well many years later what I found is that with the starting units you can force your way into the brown base on the right with just enough firepower that you'd be able to destroy most of the production structures which will dampen the pressure coming in, but back in the day I liked the turtle strategy which doesn't work well in that mission because of the constant pressure, mind control and iron curtain.
You ever take over that plateau to the east, and set up 6 or 7 Tesla coils on it, and bugzap everything that comes toward your base? It may not be fast, but it is satisfying.
@@malcolmt7883 I remember one time I got so salty over the mission I resolved to killing every living thing and destroying every structure until only the Kremlin was left lol
Hello Psyminette Very important tip for you I noticed you had trouble with hostile shores, mission 2 Here's a tip. At the beginning of the game, slow down the game speed, this will allow you to control the amphibious transports and stop them from dropping off the fragile conscripts in front of the pill boxes. I hope this helps.
So I tried something similar and there's a cheeky way you can use psy-corps troopers/Yuri Clones: Mind control something and when it's done, march it into a "kill box" lined with a ton of defenses (either tanks or towers). Then when you need to control something else, the guy gets de-mind controlled and then immediately gets murdered by your defenses. Since they aren't under your control at the time anymore, it technically doesn't count as a loss :3
And here I thought I knew everything there is about this game after 20 years. I had no idea about the secret passage in the vs. Yuri mission. Great stuff.
the last mission has a fun quirk. if you have a dreadnought force fire at the top of the massive cliff near the chronosphere. It's rockets will bug out and start traveling at ground level till they disappear of the map. If AA destroys them they deal damage as if thy landed. This can take out the chronosphere in the derpy-est of ways.
3:52 can confirm the SAPC has (de-)accelleration, but only because of the Hover-Locomotor. ...actually makes me wonder if that means the accellaration of Hover-units is ignored in this case... 17:30 Prism Towers' Support is broken in missions.
You absolute legend! Quite frankly this was impressive and I thought it was not even possible. Especially the second to last mission against Yuri had me in awe. Great Job man! Also very nice and funny editing ; )
I've actually managed to do plenty of these in C&C 3 Tiberium wars, beating missions without a single casualty sometimes but I often aimed for the least amount because in some missions it's pretty much hard and tedious or impossible, only did it for the Nod campaign though, worst one was the Slovenia and Temple Prime missions, it is pretty intense and casualties are pretty much expected since GDI will rush you in Slovenia and in Temple prime when you get full control of the units they have already engaged the enemies and some are expected to die, easiest ones was Hampton roads and operation Stilleto.
Great video, buddy. Can't get enough of this! These games really just oozed personality. Beautiful art style that just still looks amazing and readable.
Very interesting! I used to solve the Kremlin mission by rushing out another kirov or two, then sail them up along the east of the map while Yuri blows up my base. With enough kirovs you can just get through. Nice to see such different tactics. The polar Storm beach in my game was infested with dozens of dug in GI's, lets say landings looked like Omaha beach on Normandy
Awesome vid. Very informative. Didn't know that you can take the power of orange base in Red Revolution mission. Nice. Do the same thing with Yuri Revenge missions and other CnC games. Subscribed.
Very well done! Not only cheesing the game ;) But also talking about editing - You don't waste our time - straight to the point! Good Job! Wish You luck with channel growth!
Imagine being in a tank that can only stuff 4 rpg rounds while a mining truck can stuff 12 of them in ra2 Nice video btw, I always thought it would be not possible to beat any of the rts games before real 3d because the unit die very fast and how they are willing to run into enemies sometimes
You can destroy the Chronosphere with Dreadnought aswell, if one gets 3 stars then you dont even have to take the ground :D Also I see ppl struggle with vs Yuri mission, its a good thing to capture the enemy's tesla reactor at the begining in the small mountain infront of you. Garrison the building beside it and use wall to deefend it :D
Very nice video, both this one and the allied version are very well done. I am surprised you even made sure no building were lost as most people just spam defensive structures
Isn't it possible to beat Operation: Red Revolution without blowing Orange and Brown's power? I remember only using the starting kirovs to go north (ignoring the flak cannons), destroy purple's reactor and the kremlin. DIdn't deploy MCV.
FYI, there are trucks in the bottom right corner of the Fox and The Hound map. Destroying then all will give you an elite IFV with upgraded armour, fire power, snd about $3000 as some of them have money crates. You can likewise garrison The Alamo to hold off Allied attacks (your garrisoned troops will not shoot the president)
Actually it may be possible to just destroy the Chronosphere in the last Soviet mission with Dreadnoughts and no need for any landing. For some reasons when firing over a cliff, their missiles wouldn't drop on target and would just keep on going beyond range. I noticed this when playing the last Soviet mission on Yuri's Revenge. So when Dreadnoughts' missiles keep going ahead, the Chronosphere anti-air defense would try to shoot them down. But the explosion deals splash damage into the device and destroying it.
I planned to do a video like this a while back, starting on Easy to see if it was possible. Looks like I don't have to anymore. Great work. Nice edits.
By the way in big apple, theres school buses you can mind control and subsequently garrison with some engineers conscripts and flak troopers. the enemy units and defenses dont attack them so you can just go behind enemy lines behind the twin towers and capture everything from there. You can get away with a lot of preparation before you capture the beacon. and as a bonus since you didnt destroy the base on the way in it becomes yours.
I asked around to see if I could get the skirmish scoreboard to show up at the end but was not possible so i pretty much just rely on the unit lost audio for units. I guess only thing stopping me from cheating the challenge would be my self-pride :p If more people show interest then I might start streaming the runs so viewers can keep an eye on it.
4:51 I easily completed this mission, deploying the base only at the very end by building a Soviet naval shipyard so that it would be attacked by Allied ships - otherwise I would not have been able to complete the mission without losses. In reinforcements on the hard difficulty level they give, I don’t remember exactly, 3 or 4 submarines and they cannot sink all the destroyers without losses. You need to build a shipyard and destroy ships yourself with the help of submarines and tanks. I had enough power of all 4 Rhino tanks, bringing them to the rank of general, I quickly destroyed everything that the enemy had on the ground, including his base except for the construction yard, which I captured later. And I didn’t deploy the Soviet construction yard at all until the time when I had to destroy enemy ships. 5:16 It’s better to capture the World Trade Center buildings than to destroy them, you’ll also get two boxes of money, but the entire map will be open, which will make the game more convenient and enjoyable 5:40 you can capture other units with the help of Yuri's abilities, for example, civilian vehicles, captured an enemy unit, did what was necessary and, in order not to incur losses, captured nearby civilian equipment and left the enemy with low health - you will not have losses and the enemy will have battered units using V-3 missiles is very inconvenient, ordinary rhino tanks will suffice, just repair them and that’s it 7:15 but the enemy will send grizzly tanks from the air, as well as a whole bunch of Rocketeers and a huge “tank column” that will arrive from the east from beyond the edge of the map 7:27 OPPA GANGNAM STYLE 8:57 I defeated them with Rhino tanks rush attack without losses on my side, I don’t understand how you managed to collect such a number of submarines, I couldn’t do more than 10-12 until they arrived 10:32 юняйтед стейтс it looks like he's trying to talk cute like the girls in Japanese anime 13:31 I wonder if these rivet bolts are driven into Yuri’s head, just like carpenters do with their products ? 🤣 14:48 in this mission there is still a small reinforcement at the very bottom of the map if you restore the bridge, it is very simple except for how not to suffer losses from 2 enemy general apocalypses near the white house 15:26 and all these “conscripts” are not considered losses? clear - I read the message below, they are considered 19:43 the most difficult mission of this campaign, it's very hard do not lose a single unit or building here but possible 19:45 the enemy's capture of your units with the help of Yuri is considered losses 21:15 polar storm is a very easy mission especially compared to the previous one
To make mission 3 easier, if you have a low health unit mind controlled, or something you don't want... you can force attack mind control on one of the civilian cars to mind control that and drop the mind control on the unit you don't want.
