Take on the elements in Wildfrost, a tactical roguelike deckbuilder! Journey across a frozen tundra, collecting cards strong enough to banish the eternal winter… ➤ STREAM: / skoottie #skoottie #strategy #indiegames
never played wildfrost but from watching others play i think generally its best to go for just 1 thing and do it right, i think skoottie also mentions this a few times in his previous videos. its just a general rule of thumb for most games to go for synergies instead of a lot of different things
After watching this and playing it a bit myself, I generally find snow to be a little over powered compared to most other effects. Seems like a must on most build, even if your particular build is going for something different. Snow countering smackback is just too good, and stalling for turns is busted as well.
@@Cgreen123 yeah snow is just fundamentally better than anything else you can apply simply due to the nature of the game When every enemy does hilarious amounts of damage and any hit you can take may end your run, the best thing you can do is to just not let your opponent have a turn Don't have to worry about smackback, damage scaling on enemies, etc. if those things just never get to happen
@@theStr4yD0g The snow clan has probably the weakest set of allies and cards but the effect itself is OP. The snow run I had relied on Snoffel and Kobonker + Shrooms, mainly Wort. If you can get some additional Shroom triggers on Wort he's incredibly powerful. Pure snow isn't that good in my experience as Wallop is meh and Yuki takes a while to snowball. I usually run a 2+2 combo with the aforementioned + Shrooms or Nuts, or a Shroom/Nut combo + Snoffel.
Hey skoottie I would love to see a smackback hero only challenge. Here's the rules, a hero with smackback (obviously lol) only clunkers, companions and cards without an attack value. Not cards that have zero attack but cards that have no attack, like the companion that Heals all allies every 6 turns or the one that snows all enemies. The only cards you can use with attack are the ones you start with like the sword, tar blade or gearhammer. For example no shell barrage (the one that gives 5 armor but does 2 dmg to everyone.) Everything must die from smackback for the most part, I get that in the first few fights you may have to use swords and stuff however try not to. Love the content brotha and ty for your consistency for the most part I watch all your super auto pets and wildfrost videos. Also have you tried "Boneraiser"? Its a fairly simple game at first however I think you would enjoy how crazy complicated it can get and all the different playstyles you can do. And yes I did like the video 😅
Btw I had a game last night with a smackback hero and I had a noomlin charm on a Pinkberry juice and then was able to copy it twice at the shade sculptor so I had 3 noomlin Pinkberries and I got my hero to around 70 hp in one fight. Which is what kinda inspired this challenge, I did that run shortly after watching your hero only vid.
Have you tried the Crownless challenge? A run where you aren't allowed to purchase any crowns. You CAN use and keep that one crown the game gives you if the purple bell is enabled, but if you're playing without that mode on, you're pretty much always alone at the start of battle.
With a cool down of 4 btw yeah, pretty hard to beat. My best hero was a 5 damage barrage with a cooldown of 4. And then i gave it smackback later. Let's just say i did not win for a long time, it took an even more cracked team to finally get rid of it.
That was a great challenge, heh. Didn't really beat it with one CARD though, now did you? ;) Only hero/no companion feels more accurate. But I am just being pedantic. Awesome run.
