@@LivingInToronto it takes away from the presentation of the house 1st outlook and the opportunity for decor or even put in any helpful features to take of shoes like a chair bench or railings for anyone to hold. Besides it has no windows which means that room is destined to stink up pretty bad if it was just to be a dedicated area for the shoes which is a horrible welcome for ur guests. If any elderly person needs railing or has issues with steps in case if some young ones are also injured or recovering from an injury it's also not a good feature that's attractive and you would have to spend money at making it more acessible
