Can You Daily Drive an Alfa Romeo 4C?

actually I own a 4C and use it for daily driving... I agree with some statements but it's actually really doable:) and not that terrible as you think... I enjoy driving the 4C to work everyday...

Im usually not that mutch into modern cars, but this car is very cool.

Problem I have with this video and the one on the spider is that most of us have the other car. We have a 18 spider abarth and 04 mazdaspeed Miata.....we also have a chevy blazer and a captiva. If we want to daily drive with just a few things we daily drive with just a few things. I have a box in the trunk that holds my gear and I focus on driving.

Doug should compare this one to the new one.

I daily my 4C. Next week will mark four years of ownership. I've put on 32,000 miles in those four years. I've tracked her, flogged her in the canyons, and driven her to the grocery store. My wife and I drove her to Seattle and back, (Los Angeles is home) 4,000 miles in three weeks. Took the back roads north through the mountains and the coast route home. Perfect car on perfect roads. Is she a car for everyone? NO! She is the perfect car for me though. What she really is, is a street legal race car. Race cars don't have frills, or extras, it's all dead weight on race day. She's a driver's car, not a passanger's car. Oh she drives, and begs to be driven harder and longer. Yes, she drives like she looks.

Before I watch this video, I "4C" that it won't be good as a daily driver. eh? eh? okay ill leave

Theres no problem with parallel parking... its called using mirrors and distancing youself in relation to the car at an angle

I own a 4C and everything is exaggerated in this video. Rear visibility is bad but not useless - and the mirrors along with parking sensors make parking simple. I even have a coupe, which has worse visibility than the spider. A friend who is 6'2" can fit and drive it comfortably. There isn't much seat padding, but the seats are surprisingly comfortable. I drove it 522 miles over 8.5 hours home the day I bought it from Cincinnati to DC and had zero comfort issues - no aches or pains. You don't need to recline it any more than it allows, so that's not a con either. Also, the cupholders are perfectly functional. I had a can of starbucks espresso crap and a big bottle of water in the two holders during my drive. The lack of power steering is a non-issue provided you let the car crawl before you try turning the wheel. It really isn't heavy at all when the car is moving slightly. This car in the video has the updated headunit, but even the 2015 model Parrot unit isn't bad and hasn't bugged out on me yet. If I didn't take the metro to work (parking near the office is $280/month) I could absolutely daily drive the 4C.

Being an Alfa, the external trunk release it's activated by pushing the Alfa logo inwards.

They should have added even LESS features. The beauty of this car it is an ultra light track car. I would pay more if it added NO sun visors. Fuck sun visors. And of course you can "daily drive it" WTF people take the shitty ass bus everyday or ride their bikes....or fucking walk. I would hardly consider driving a 4c "roughing it" to the point where we need to ask ourselves "can I actually drive this shit to work?"

I drove one exactly like this to an Alfa dealership from auction. Launch Edition, bright red, same wheels. Absolutely loved it. Forget about seeing anything behind you. Had plenty of people coming up and asking me about the car at the gas station. Definitely the funnest car I've driven in my 19 years
