Can You Double the Data Rate by Doubling Transmit Power?

Explains that if you double the transmit power, and also double the number of bits sent per unit time, then the modulated transmit symbols will be more prone to errors from noise, since they are closer together in the constellation diagram.

Just out of curiosity, I wondered what would happen if I quadrupled the power. After redoing the calculation, I get 0.9A. Not quite 1A.

Yes, it's practical examples like this that really give insights into the fact that the capacity formula involves a log function.

This is clear at low SNR where the log function is almost linear.

What will happen if we will keep modulation scheme same but will increase the symbol rate?

What do you mean "real unit"? The axes are the signal voltage levels (scaled to a unit resistor - ie. Power=V^2/R where R=1ohm).

Thanks for the video. I understood it for QAM. I wanted to ask why this also true for multi dimensional modulation schemes. Thanks in advance

I assume you mean orthogonal modulation schemes (eg. FSK)? In those cases, to increase the data rate you need to add new dimensions (eg. new frequencies). That means you're increasing the bandwidth. Increasing the power just reduces the BER. (Of course, there are things that can be done to adjust the end-to-end data rate using coding, but I'm trying to emphasise the physical layer here.)
