Hi James what a beautiful player you are, you have inspired me so much, I’m fairly new to the Sax but listening to your videos makes me want to practice more every day. Thank you so much.
I don't know if you have CD'S BUT I have seen a lot of your youtube video's. I would buy your CD'S In a heart beat, need to take lessons from you. lol. been playing for a year now in my old age, hehe. vinny
+Vincent Gaglio Hey Vinny! No CDs, but I do have 3 singles available on iTunes (2 originals: "Looking Back" and "There Are No Words" ... 1 cover: "Stairway to Heaven"). Like I mentioned to you in a previous comment ... slow and long tones. and really listen to phrasing ... music breathes. All the while, tonguing is important. Good luck friend!
From one saxophone player to another what is your set up? Your sound is really spot on. I play a 1954 Martin Indiana alto saxophone with some newer Martin mouthpiece I believe and at present just use Rico orange reeds.
This cover literally gave me goosebumps. Thank you for sharing such a beautiful talent. I'm currently in my 5th month playing alto sax and I hope I can be as good as you someday. :)
Chris Pulumbarit Thanks Chris for your kind words. I have always felt that this was a special song and just had to play it. Good luck with your saxophone ... continue to practice and most importantly, learn to phrase and shape the melody. all the best to you. - James
I was so amaze it's really relaxing to hear and gives a warm feeling to relieve my stressed hopefully I can learn also how to play music 🎶🎼 in this kind of instrument 🎷 GOD blessed you 🙏❤️❤️❤️
3:58 your playing and sound sounds great. i ha a question at 3 min 58 seconds when you do the thrill with the B , i see you release the key and press it again quickly, but I figure that would give you a C sharp but you need actually a C instead, it still sounds good however and I don't know how you do that.
Press the B ( Index finger left hand ) and press the middle side key by leaning the right index finger against the middle side key. That will give you a nice C sharp.
Where do u get your backing music Do I assume that u use possibly karaoke tracks Also where can we download the music letters for this song and others you play
