Hello there ladies and gentlemen today we ask the greatest question of all can you flood the world in civilization 6? Of course you were thinking is it possible. And with the lovely new DLC known as civ 6 gathering storm we can live our dreams and watch the water take over.
The plan today is to use the global warming mechanics of the new Civilization 6 update and burn all the coal in the world to cause it to sink. We are going to go from Pangea to islands to just a water world.
This video is going to be packed with funny clips in a montage style of british humor!

My friend, as a Bostonian, I can tell you that we are in fact very proud of what was done with that tea. By far the best use of tea in history. We are plenty angry, but it's about other things. The Green line being lat again, for example. (Don't even mention the Red line.)

Quick Google search: "If all the ice caps melted then sea levels would rise 70 meters." This DLC caps out at 3.5 meters. So the game only allows for 5% of rising sea levels compared to the real world, that is powerfully weak.

To melt every place on earth we would need like +40°C global warming. This will probably never happen, because heating a body get's progressively more difficult, the hotter it is. For example if you heat earth from a average of 300K (~27°C) to 310K (~37°C) it's a increase by 3,3%. But due to the Stefan-Boltzmann law earth will radiate 14% (Temperature^4) more energy back into space. So a small temperature increase by using CO2 to absorb certain infrared frequencies is possible, but melting the ice caps completely is like interstellar space age level terraforming.

If you think about it, fossil fuels came from biomass that did exist in the carbon cycle back in the age of dinosaurs and before. Scientists will tell you that the level of CO2 in the atmosphere was in fact 3 to 5 times that of today and surface temperatures were some 15 degrees warmer. There were no polar caps. Mind you hundreds of millions of years of evolution means today's animals (and humans) would find that level of CO2 to be downright poisonous over even just a few weeks time and certainly even plants wouldn't be able to adapt to sudden change in temperatures quickly enough.

@@nadnerb_sr20 exactly. The same people who spout global warming also know that during the dinosaurs CO2 levels were sometimes up to four times as high during those periods. Now I don't know about you or me but I know there were no factories back during the dinosaurs. CO2 is plant food. CO2 is needed for plants and algae to make O2. Global warming is a lie to sell the carbon tax and steal more of people liberties in the name of satfey and security. Ever wonder why the government always tells you something's going on and you have to give up something in order for them to keep you safe. @@thespiffingbrit I have played it recently. The steam version does exist. I haven't beaten it yet so I do not know if it stops working later on. I had no real bugs with it. I have also modded it though, so that may be preventing instability. I forgot what mod I used though. It was on the Nexus website.

well fission nuclear is not green power but is not very contaminant, but fussion is definitely green power, you input the most common gas in the universe, hidrogen and get a gas that is lacking in earth and that is very useful as a result, helium, and whitout radiation, also you dont contaminate science you would actually store that helium because is useful.

Someone should make mod where you can absolutely flood the entire world until only a few tiles remain. It should’ve been in the DLC to begin with (by adding an “unlimited” option) but a mod is the next best thing.

Fun fact: a 1000-year flood isn’t a flood that lasts for 1000 years or happens every 1000 years. It more like having a 1/1000 chance of it happening any given year. It’s an odd misnomer. The bigger the number (I.e. 10, 100, or 1000 year flood), the larger the flood when it does occur. No idea what a -4 hurricane is.

The current extinction rate is 0.1% of species per year, with some simple math we can deduce that at our current emission rate 90% of species will be extinct in 900 years.
