Interesting, I have always heard that only the OG pint MIGHT make it onto a plane if you are lucky. Would like to hear more about your process for having the airline accept it as cargo.

I didn’t necessarily announce that I had it. If it would have been confiscated I was leaving the country and didn’t have time to deal with the hassle of trying to figure out how to get it back. So before I left I drained the battery, deflated the tire, then disassembled it and spread out all the parts between our luggage! The tricky part was getting tools in! I accidentally packed brand new drill bits in my carry on luggage and those got confiscated by TSA, apparently they are weapons . Luckily we had a group member still en route and they were able to bring some in their checked bag. Was able to reassemble it and shared the joy of onewheeling with as many people as I could ! Left it over there so now I have a Onewheel there every time we go! And then I enjoy my GT while in the states!

How did you ship the battery? Any issues with the airlines? Do you think you could do the same with the GT?

Thanks for your comment! before I left I drained the battery, deflated the tire, then disassembled it and spread out all the parts between our luggage! No issues with the airlines because I didn’t “announce” that I had it amongst my checked luggage. I think I could do it with the GT. Just have to make sure you have enough luggage to disperse all the parts lol.
