I bet your house is gorgeous. It would be fun if you took us on a tour & just room by room show the renovations you've done. I also wonder what you guys will do when you run out of projects to do. I'm afraid you'll be bored. You can always come to my house & do a room or two. 🤣
Susan, we're never bored 🥱. There are a bunch of home projects we still have to do. Don't forget...there are outside projects as well. Stay tuned. Best, -DIYPC 😃✨
Y’all videos has been such an inspiration that I literally just got done using the peel and stick and grout method in my bathroom and I love the results. Thank you for sharing 😊
Thank you!! I have learned so much from your diy channel! I stumbled upon it, and I am so glad I did. I’ve worked with peel & stick tile before and it never occurred to me to use grout to give it a more finished look. Love your tips and your teamwork! 😊
I really like your videos when I did peel and stick with grout. It was a nightmare keeping those lines straight but I loved the end result. But if I do it again I'm going to go with ceramic. All that hard work I want it lasting for years.
Barbara, we feel you. Peel and stick is a great budget-friendly option for beginners. Once your skills improve, you can do bigger projects. Please let us know how it turns out. We'd love to see it. Best, -DIYPC 😃✨
first time i seen your video and think I will need to change my dating apps. To more like Looking for a DIY woman like the DIY Power Couple. Cause I do alot of house stuff on this 1900s home that I expect you will want to help me fix up. lol.. great videos and love how you work together.
Hello beautiful people, you have made me just decide too use peel and stick, I'm about too finally have a home of my own after 24 yrs of the lose of my husband. It's a mobile home and I'm so excited, and I haven't seen the inside yet, but ready too make it my own. One question what is the grout you are using and do I need too seal it and if so with what. I hope too hear from you and can't wait too watch more of your amazing work ❤😊
Hi Pamela! All the best for your new chapter in life. 🤗You can use pre-mixed grout for vinyl tiles that are in this list of products you may need: www.amazon.com/shop/diypowercouple/list/2815E9T8UH253?ref_=cm_sw_r_cp_ud_aipsflist_aipsfdiypowercouple_SP84QFJGDT8HH03RM3WE You do not have to seal vinyl grout.
You all convinced me to go with peel and stick tiles for my master bath makeover! Thanks! It looks great! I will say, tho, that the adhesive on those tiles is serious. A few tiles in and my fingers were oh, so sticky which made it challenging to manipulate the X spacers I was usingto make consistent grout lines and I HIGHLY recommend NOT NOT NOT using those little X spacers. Sure, they'll work, but the round ones that you used for the hex tiles in this video are less fussy once the adhesive has transferred to your hands. And lastly, now that you'lve lived with LVT on your WALLS, what do you think? I am guessing it is an interior bath as vinyle is notorious for not taking UV radiation very well. I do want to do my bath walls with vinyl since the drywall is a fright, but it is an east facing bath with morning sun. So I guess I just gotta repair and texture the drywall, or got with ceramic tile for the wall, but likely just round out my DIY skills by learning the drywall techniques.
Hi Kathleen! Yes, the adhesive on the back of these tiles is SERIOUS! lol 😂We are still figuring out how to handle them because wearing gloves doesn't really help the situation. The vinyl tiles on our bathroom wall are holding up so well. The sunlight has not faded them and NONE have fallen off. We would do it again but can no longer find those specific tiles. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-8lmCMjuEYp0.htmlsi=OaEMkcXGX1usPoIu Now that you have successfully finished a DIY project with peel & stick tiles, the next project will be easier! 😀 Thanks for your comment!!
This is so helpful! Thank you for posting this. Do you mind sharing the kind of trowel you used to spread the grout on the vinyl peel-and-stick tiles in the bathroom? Thank you!

We used 3/16 in spacers. You can also see how we used them in this video: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-pL9uYCeMME8.html Best -DIYPC 😃✨
Have you used any thickness of peel and stick tiles, or are you using the groutable specific peel and stick that are a little bit thicker? My husband says the tiles I want aren't thick enough to grout.
Barbie, we have used a variety of peel and stick tiles both groutable and non-groutable. Take a look at our peel and stick playlist: ru-vid.com/group/PLr_OdHi7DghItmQMK5nPv2oh1f6Sdl9SR&si=a_GZ3o0sud9Ttyn6 We hope this helps. 😀
You two are awesome :) Would you say there's a huge benefit between spacers vs no spacers, or is it mostly cosmetic? I want to use peel and stick tiles on my bathroom floor, but I'm of two minds of whether I want spacers, or just stick them together and grout like you did on the accent wall. Is there a major difference in how hard-wearing and waterproof that would be?
Jenny, the main difference is that when you grout, it creates a waterproof 💦 barrier on the floor. That's why we do it on every project. It takes longer, but all of our floors are still in tact...even the ones we did on the walls. Take a look at these videos: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-8lmCMjuEYp0.htmlsi=tobrLkyPldPO-0hw ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Ax3W0ZADYuc.htmlsi=-xDRAVg_T2by45en
@@DIYPowerCouple thank you! I'm sorry I wasn't clear - I meant when you grout is there a functional difference to whether you use spacers or not? I see some of your projects you grout using spacers and others you grouted without them - I'm curious if there's a functional difference or if it's purely cosmetic?
Tub shower: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Ds_Sju0MnBU.html We did not use peel and stick in the shower because of mold. It will be a big headache 🙀 if you do.
Hi Can you let me know the reason of grouting self adhesive tiles ? is it because to make the surface water proof ? If so, can this technique be used in shower floor ? awaiting response - Thanks!
Yes, we grout self adhesive tiles (outside of tubs and showers) to assist with the waterproofing process. It definitely works. As far as using self adhesive flooring on shower floors...we would advise that you not do that. Reason being: mold will rapidly grow under the tiles, you could step in the shower and one tile could slip off if it becomes loose and you could get hurt. We hope that this response helps you to make an informed decision. Best, DIYPC
The peel and stick I used from Home Depot has been a nightmare for me. I used the premix and it just looks horrible like I couldn’t get the grout off I used a scrubber a sponge a rag I even got desperate and starting sanding idk what I did wrong
Yes. Here's a short: ru-vid.com0RAD2h5aMNw?feature=share Here is the video: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-8lmCMjuEYp0.html It still looks just like it does on the video. Hope this helps.
Breeze, you mean...like this? ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-PoytNr4mdH4.html Epoxy over Kitchen Table 😊 Let us know what you think 🤔 -DIYPC 🦋✨
@@DIYPowerCouple I would love to try it on the outside to the backyard. Can't find it. I thought maybe with a strong glue. Sad.. 🤷🏾♀️ but, I yoy both. You guys are inspiring anybody 🥰
Why would you ruin real wood on the stairs to put peel and stick-on beautiful wood stairs, and if you got a multi-tool why would you use quarter round it looks like s***either take the baseboard off and replace it baseboard is cheap or use your multi-tool cut it to slide under the base board. And who puts grout in between peel and stick. I wouldn't recommend anybody to do work like them😂
I can’t wait to try this with my bathrooms and kitchen. I was a bit intimated but my husband thinks we can do it. We’re going to have to try because these floor people are charging too much
You guys CAN do it...and it's going to look good 😊. You're right, some people have high rates. You will be extremely happy once your project is complete and you see how much you saved💵. Let us know how it turns out. -DIYPC 😃✨
