I worked as a surgical tech in a labor & delivery unit. We had adoptive moms attending the delivery who were lactating. Birth mom would feed the colostrum, and the adoptive mom would take over the feeding. It's magical!
Apparently (If I remember correctly) if you have high levels of prolactin it can cause you to lactate as well. That exact scenario happened to me and everyone thought I was lying when I said I had never been pregnant/given birth/had any children. It was crazy weird but I sure am glad I got blood work done at my doctors office and was relieved at being told it was harmless and not a sign of anything bad. Just weird. 😂
You can aid this process by taking meds to reduce dopamine there thereby allowing for the increase in prolactin. I fed my older, bio kids naturally. I breast fed one of my adopted kids this way.
Yes this is possible.... there are milk nurses available to assistants parents either for breaks or to provide natural milk to parents that want to give it to there baby's but are not capable for what ever reason. This has been practice in europ for century. More common with rich royalty and noble household
You don't need medication necessarily, although it definitely Helps if and when available although most drs will not prescribe it especially to LGBTQ in my area because they know what it's for
I can lactate anytime as well, i thought i was pregnant for the 1st time but i wasnt, if you just start squeezing or of course sucking 1st its clear then pure white milk💯💯❤
@@JoeRabone ok…but that still doesn’t explain how she is breastfeeding or why? That’s a lot of trouble to go through, taking med to increase & d crease hormone levels, isn’t it? Weird, lol…that’s in the same wheelhouse of men wanting to breastfeed their children. It goes against nature bc they didn’t give birth. Idk, again….just strange!
