We are told that you can't put metal in the microwave but is this actually true and what happens if you put metal in the microwave?
I read mixed reviews about this so I wanted to give it a try myself and see what happened.
Read my full write up at thecoolerbox.c...

I think it has to do with the percentage of the metals and what the silverware is made out of. I think the more metal it is the less you half to worry about but the more in something like aluminum would be pretty dangerous.

@vtgvideos955 5 месяцев назад
@@YourFellowRNRSisterFan98 I'm no pro but based on my theory if your silverware was 100% metal it would just heat up and get really hot. But you'd half to know the exact % of your silverware before trying that and I just don't think vary many people are going to know that or care. but then again I don't really know any of this to be true like I said it's just based on a theory of mine so if your going to do this I'd recommend doing some digging first.

uhh yeah of course! if you do that and it is moving around on the edge of the food, it may touch the microwave metal on the edge, which does make it arc

Type of metal used matters.
@Phil659

no it doesnt. aluminum/steel/silver all are conductive enough that they'll all behave the absolute same.

@Phil659 2 месяца назад
@@MichaelRainabbaRichardson I would argue the geometry of the metal object matters way more than the actual metal material itself. Yes, copper is more conductive than aluminum, but a jagged spiked ball of aluminum will arc way more readily, than a smooth circular disk of copper. Between commonly used silverware metals, material is not significant.

Just did it with a spoon on accident for several minutes, and didn't even notice until I saw the nuclear hot spoon when I took it out. Hence why I'm here. Making sure I didn't break anything. And I have seen sparks from forks before. It's nothing too crazy though.
