They should add a quest where you use the Imperius Curse on ominis and have him open it.

@@chrisrockwell1370 they already had a quest where you could either cast curcio on him or convince him that you'll talk to sebastian for him to save their friendship.

parseltongue and the basilisk are not in the top 100 of evil things though why Rowling decided a disproportionate amount of evil wizards tended to use it thus making two very neutral things into darker reputations. Also it would've been a lot cooler if the player character did happen to speak parseltongue and learnt petrificus totalus from the basilisk...

@@xyreniaofcthrayn1195 having the player talk to snakes is stupid. You can choose what house you're in, with no special story connecting you into being close to some kind of their of Slytherin. You just simply wouldn't. Ominis is the closest to the heir as you'll get. Harry simply could because he had a part of Voldemort's soul in him, and Voldemort was the heir of Slytherin in that case. Our student in legacy is simply a student who can see and harness ancient magic. This is Hogwarts legacy, not elder scrolls Hogwarts Skyrim. You're not some ancient wizard, that's also a Hufflepuff, that is also the heir of Slytherin, the prison of Azkaban, the minister of magic, and a pro quidditch player all at the same time. That pulls from the realism that is left in a fantasy game about magic, which is already unrealistic. Skyrim was a great game too, but there were far too many titles for the dragon born for it to make sense, and limiting us in Hogwarts just simply makes sense to ground the story. It may be an rpg open world game, but that doesn't mean we absolutely need everything just because we know it's there.

@@xyreniaofcthrayn1195 we also don't know where we come from in game, since we start late in our 5th year, we know we aren't typical magic users, probably muggle born, which instantly would eliminate us from being an heir in the first place. Then you have the option of house, if you somehow are a pure blood, you still have to be Slytherin in order to be a heir. Both ginny and Harry were able to open the chamber simply because Tom riddle helped them in both cases. Ginny with the diary which had his soul, and Harry with his soul as I said before. Neither of which our character has. The ancient magic is the special magic we have. Not even Voldemort seems to have those skills. That should be enough for you. The chamber of secrets is just overkill for legacy.

Rowling has said in interviews she has a notebook that says which floor everything is on and that if locations change it's for magic reasons and not her fuck ups lol

If so her parents would be extremely old to have children at the date of her birth. Atleast 39. Nowadays you can have children at that age but back in the day it was very rare and very dangerous.

I like to think Ominis may have opened it, he's just not telling ;) It would have been funny if the devs had put Ominis in that bathroom at some point. However, even if we know the Gaunts know about the chamber, Ominis has bad relationship with his family, so they may not have told him about where the Chamber is.

​​​@@daedalronnsidering he's blind, he may have been planned to open the chamber st one point - it would make him surprisingly compatible with the instakill stare. Frankly, he would never do it, though, as he hates everything related to Slytherin and his legacy, and especially to the Dark Arts and anything related to them.

I was waiting for an option to kill Ominous with Sebastian all the way up to learning the killing curse. He was always trying to get in the way of my grand scheme to rule the Wizarding world.

honestly opening the chamber with ominis only for both of you to tell no one would be in character for him and fit with the lore.

I'm pretty sure, people either love or hate Ominis. I love him, but many people thought he was annoying and prefered Sebastian. I love them both as characters and I actually like Ominis more but at first Sebastian was on place one but then... yeah, things happened

hell, hogwart's floor plan changes between movies and the green houses being right there off the fountain room instead of out in the grounds, remember in the books they had to walk through snow to get to the greenhouses, shows that hogwarts likes to change its shape every now and then. like getting a new haircut, but for a castle.

@abiean222 yea, it's flipping crazy. I have a feeling it's because of the architecture. He meant to do that on purpose for students every year, and likely for defenses purposes. There is a statue of him near the changing stairs and the witch to hogsmead

I believe they are not gonna make a second one any time soon. With all the attention and money they made bc of the controversy the company decided to make it a GTA V/RDR2 for the future of the game. So they’ll definitely will add more DLCs and a Online feature as well

I don't remember the books and movies that well. Is it explained if have to want to wake up the basilisk you have to want it? Like for example, could Ominis go down there, knowing what's there and decide to not wake it up?

That's not breaking lore. Not everyone who is in Slytherin HAS to be a dark lord. And acromantulas existed before Aragog. 😒
