Another great video that’s awesome that’s a little 2200 is putting everything out it can if I had Honda money I would definitely buy Hondas but right now I’ve only been able to afford predators but they’ve been treating me well in the end I guess that’s all that matters is that they work when you need them Keep up the good work. Great test, I've currently been running the little 2200 and it won't run my AC , so now I finally know I can strap a 3200 to it & have the proper juice
The 3200i is awesome for the tech but there is something about the 3000is with its painted steel panels that screams quality of yesteryear. just like the old days of the "big red" Honda three-wheelers with their steel tanks and how if they're in good condition they are collector's items now.
I own one for 19-20 years now. It's been an awesome machine, with little maintenance. I use it for hurricane emergencies when there's no power at home. It is worth every penny.
The 3200 is a great solution for those who need more than a 2200 but don’t want to run two. The 3000 is still the best choice for home use between the three for its large fuel tank, long proven reliable and simple to repair engine, and very quiet operation. For my use and taste the 3000 is the winner.
When you parallel the EU3200i with the EU2200i how many watts/amps do you get our of the 30 amp outlet? I assume it is the 1800 of the 2200 and 1800 from the 2200 so 3600 watts and 30 amps?
Thank you for making this video. It’s exactly what I was wanting to know. Maybe an extra question - the 7000is won’t parallel with the others in 240v. If the 120v switch was enabled, then I assume parallel is permissible?

I found this one soon after asking about connecting different wattage units. I'm going to be connecting 2 different inverter brands as well as different wattages.
The 20i, and 32i could bear the 4000W by themselves. What I would be interested in: Is the max combined power limited by the weakest unit? 2000i can handle 2000W peak, the 3000 and 3200 more. So would the max combined here be 4000, or to they manage some intelligent load sharing, meaning the 2000 will go to 1800 where it's rated for continues operation, and the others would go to 2800 (or whatever their rating is), meaning the three together could deliver over 7000Watts?

Nice video. Thank you. The 2x15 plug male to generator twist lock L14-30 receptacle female y adapter cord 120/240 that is on your site. Can I use this adaptor on my 4000/3200 predator generator on the 120 outlets that max out each bank 13 amps? Will this adaptor combine the 2 banks and give me the full 26 amps at 240 volts. Thanks.
Hi, have you tried, or could you try to run an extended run fuel tank with the 3200I? Also, what do you know about anyone making a propane kit for the 3200i, or if it can be done?
Have read multiple times that you shouldn’t parallel 2 different size generators. Can you please share your thoughts on this. I have a EU7000is for my house and an EU3000is for travel needs. Though you mentioned you can’t run the 7000 with them I’d like to know the technical aspects why they can’t. Great videos and content as always !
There is a video on RU-vid by Michael Vaughn by the title "Parallel operation of different sized generators Honda EU 7000is and a Eu3000is Honda" you can watch that shows it is possible.
You can parallel all 3 with a custom cable if you really want the power. But at 7kw 120v would mean too much current. It would be better to do if the system is 240v..
I am curious if a person could parallel three Honda EU2200i's together??? That would be an interesting video with load tests. Would require a custom parallel kit/system.

It would have been informative if you had a clamp meter to put on the connection cord to see if they shared the load equally or proportionally. Also hooking up all three and adding a milk house heater (1500 more watts) would have been interesting. A T Burke

Both my tests and the others who have RU-vidd their results are obviously in error. "I feel therefore it is."
I agree, measure and see what it is actually doing. If the current doesn't divide proportionally to the generator's capacity as the load goes up one will overload before the total capacity is reached. Load balance is important to understand. 4KW load doesn't show that.
Can you find a hacking solution to parallel non sync inverters or power stations? It will be awesome if we can double power stations output with a combiner box.

@@GeneratorReviews eu3200i owners manual says "never connect different generator models and types". The eu1000i and eu2000i manuals say the same. The eu2200i owners manual does allow you to parallel to the eu2000i but specifies only certain serial numbers, presumably newer eu2000i models. I have connected different ones together also with no negative results. Just never knew why they say not to, they must have a reason.
I appreciate what you are doing, but I did not hear the disclaimer that you really should have included...."WARNING: Honda says that you should not parallel 2 different models." This is from Honda's website: Connecting an EU2200i with an EU2000i or EU2000i Companion that is not within the compatible serial range above may cause a low voltage output, which can damage tools and appliances powered by the generators. Units outside the compatible serial number range should only be paralleled with another EU2000i."" So I think you should edit this video because it is misinformation without this propper warning that you can damage your tools and appliances by doing this.
Yes you’re right I am going to add it to the description Thanks for pointing that out to me but it seems like Honda just wants to sell the companion model instead of the parallel kits My eu2000 is 14 years old and I have been using it like this ever since I got it.
