I’d love to see a Fallout 3 GOTY series with no glitches doing a regular play through w/o rushing the end melee and unarmed + stealth mechanics like planting mines in pockets or using grenades. Would be a great mini series to showcase how well you torture yourself with Bethesda games while also making your own spin on some quest “walkthroughs” that normal challenge runs completely ignore! You can Venmo or Zelle my 10gs anytime bud
"I've been on the road traveling a long time, been from the capital wasteland all the way to new Vegas, what about you" *Hits cigar* "I never left the road, this is where I live" *Scene cuts to a couch and a table with a radio and a mini fridge and oven in the middle of the highway*
One surprising thing about this adventure, was how many live-able facilities there are directly on the road. I wish I covered them all. There's an entire camp, bed chairs, storage etc. On the road to the Rocket facility ran by ghouls
@@Joov I got an idea, I wanna attempt this challenge on hardest possible difficulty with hardcore mode lol likely I'll end up dying over and over again
Somebody animate that. Perfect for a small series of stupid Fallout skits. Have it just be a panning shot over the highway, someone sleeping on the couch, the radio playing Blowin' In The Wind by Bob Dylan
I think Veronica stayed hostile because you were dressed as NCR. Similar to how Ringo will turn permanently hostile to you if you walk up to him wearing any BoS gear (even Father Elijah's robes).
Hey Joov, there is a really slim chance you will see this, but I want you to know that I really like your videos, your humor helped me through some tough times - Thank You
Its amazing that even when you have limited space, the game still provides you with enough resources for you to build yourself up and become a powerful Nomad! Great video Joov! looking forward to more!
bethesda games are good for this in general. npcs are basically risk vectors for delivering RNG and the sandbox and snowbally nature of the games means if you just bash different systems together enough eventually the thing sorta explodes and you go infinite
My favorite part was when Joob said "it's can't leavin time" and then just can't leaved all over the place. Actually though great video and I hope this means more new vegas content in the future:)
Before watching i must say that after being inspired by your skyrim version of this, i am currently attempting a fallout 4 run of the same challenge. 10/10, do recommend, traders make it alot of fun, as do the random encounters, i may try in new vegas next. You sir are an inspiration.
Fallout 4 is probably the best game to try this challenge in. Half the map is a spaghetti plate of roads. As soon as you get to Boston proper it's free reign.
"Now we can turn this into a Nerbit video, Veronica is just going to be chasing me the whole game." Could you imagine a "Dont leave the roads" challenge while getting chased?
Come for the fallout content, stay for the KOTOR sound effects: 1:29 notification popup 2:53 equipment swap 6:54 notification popup love your videos joov!
Dude that’s what game it was from lmao. I recognized those sound effects but for the life of me couldn’t remember the game they were from. Funny too cause I just bought both on a steam sale and was thinking of replaying them with cut content mods
Honestly, I like the facecam and chat, it's fun seeing The Gamer's Reactions. One small complaint I do have though is it would be nice to have the music used in the video listed, but that's a small thing, the video is still good!
I just gotta say, been working my way down your video list and I love what you do here. You're tastefully funny with just enough fringe humor splashed in, your writing flows well and keeps me engaged, your voice over and commentary is always fresh and never feels stale, the EDITING I really cannot say enough about, it's obvious a lot of work is put into it and it enhances the experience thoroughly. The challenges themselves are interesting and you never really seem to get tired of doing them. I'll hop off your lap now, but legitimately you have earned a long term fan and I want you to have a good idea of why. Please keep doing what you do Joov.
Here's my attempt at guessing the highway-related song references (other than the really obvious Life Is A Highway one). 1:27 Convoy - C. W. McCall 1:36 Born To Be Wild - Steppenwolf 1:45 On The Road Again - Willie Nelson 2:33 Road Trippin' - Red Hot Chili Peppers 2:48 Life In The Fast Lane - Eagles 8:11 Highway To Hell - AC/DC 14:18 The Passenger - Iggy Pop 17:54 Mustang Sally - Mack Rice 18:06 Where The Streets Have No Name - U2 19:28 & 22:44 Running On Empty - Jackson Browne 25:05 Highway Hypnosis - Billy Strings And after all this, I can't believe you missed multiple opportunities to reference Danger Zone by Kenny Loggins.
Since the Roadie is a courier, I feel like it's fair to grab the courier outfit from Primm. There is a road that goes to the NCR outpost there, and then crosses the other road into Primm, so you can enter Primm. The dead courier is on the sidewalk infront of Johnson Nash's store, but you can grab him by the ankles without leaving the road.
I'm gonna be honest, Fallout 76 Camp Only actually sounds like it could be pretty fun. It would be interesting to see how you would interact with other players and sell/buy stuff needed to slowly make your camp more and more insane. Too bad there's not as many people playing anymore though, that would make it hard to do, but maybe if you streamed it you could get a bunch of viewers to join in and help.
Did you know tumbleweed is not native to the US? Despite how it is used in Western films and such, it's an invasive species received from a contaminated grain seed shipment to South Dakota around 1870. Before then, it didn't exist in North America, hence why it's actually still a fire hazard to this day, we just don't have enough experience preparing for catastrophes.
Just wanna say I’m so happy I stumbled across your channel, Joov. Truly funny gaming streamers that are also still good at the game are hard to find, plus your humour is alarmingly close to mine. Thank you for being a hidden gold nugget
Joov, gotta say, your music choices are 100% perfect. Maybe it's the Nintendo kid in me, but I always get hyped just listening to your videos. Keep up the amazing entertainment!
We really out here acting like Rascal Flatts are the only people to perform Life is a Highway 😤😤😤, no this is my favorite I’m biased towards it because of Cars
Who else remembers being alive when Rascal Flatts made Life is a Highway for CARS, yes, the Pixar film? As I enter my 30s, I begin to wonder if I'm the only one who remembers feeling weirded out by the fact a Disney/Pixar song wasn't produced by a single dude with an instrument (here's to you, Randy Newman, you are iconic of an age)
Thanks to this video I found out there are indeed Multiple mods for Tumbleweed Companions... Truly the greatest modding community in gaming, nothing can surpass Tim the Tumbleweed.
Nobody's gonna take my head, I've got speed inside my brain. Nobody's gonna steal my head now that I'm on the road again. Ooh, I've got everything. Like a moving ground, an open road and everything. I love it, I need it, I bleed it. Eight cylinders all I need. Alright, hold on tight, I'm a highway star. -Deep Purple, Highway Star
Imagine the guilt Doc Mitchell must feel. Saving a random stranger, probably putting immense effort to save and reconstruct his face.. only for him to kill two civilians right after leaving your house.
Seeing goodsprings get terrorized from Mitchells perspective is the funniest things I've ever seen, I always leave him alive and alone as a thank you but I never wondered what it sounded like 😂
I love the little sound that plays when that baby gecko had difficulty getting to you. Reminds me of an old game called star wars Kotor because the quest get/completion sound was the exact same one you used.
To be fair, if you're taking liberties with "connected sections of road", you should also take liberties with the fact that roads in NV are quite limited compared to the POIs and, as such, allowing access to the rails inherently covers more ground because rails were installed outside of towns and cities to simply be more efficient methods of travels as opposed to roads. And that aside, certain sections of the map could be accessible by track but not by paved road.
Idk maybe unpopular opinion but I dont mind that beautiful face of yours on screen with chat for me at least it adds to the experience being able to see your facial reactions
This challenge reminds me of the lyrics of Riders on the Storm by The Doors. "There's a killer on the ROAD, His brain is squirming like a toad, If ya give this man a ride Sweet memory will die. Killer on the road. Yeah!" Quite a fun challenge and you made it work. Unfortunately there is not much in the way of quests that you can do so you literally become a mad psychopath killing people that stray onto the road. People around these parts simply call you "The Road Warrior". The bit with the water bottle had me cracking up XD.
That’s kinda how I’m doing my current New Vegas playthrough! I’m doing hardcore mode, no fast traveling, and am only traveling along roads, sidewalks, and paths to go anywhere. Honestly it’s been a lot of fun.
Just found your channel recently so been binge watching, your scripting of these makes me laugh out loud. Keep doing what you’re doing, loving your work. 👏🏻👏🏻😂😂💜💜
I love how you make these into a how to video. The idea that anyone would want to do this with you is hilarious, and also kinda makes me want to try some off these....
I something similar a couple years ago, got made a character who was obsessed with collecting trash. the only time I ever stepped off the road was when there was trash out of reach, I'd dash out grab it and run back lmao also he was a pacifist and never used a weapon once one of silliest playthroughs I've ever played
My cousin just started playing this for the first time. After a good 2 years of hounding he started it. Instantly told me "the game was digging it's claws" he's player fallout 3 and 4. So take this as confirmation that, Yes New Vegas is old, but blows out the other titles in story ,character development, and choices.
"The weather called for.....Raining death." One of your best lines ever. Should've been the name of the video. Wife said we can't name the new baby Raining Death but I think I've almost got her convinced on the new puppy. If I have to I'll buy a goldfish just to name it that. Then likely forget I bought it and have to flush it's corpse 2 weeks later.
I am addicted to these "can't leave" videos like... I was trying really hard to make a chem related joke but any characters I can think of aren't for this game so...
Road:a wide way leading from one place to another, especially one with a specially prepared surface which vehicles can use. So railroads would count according to the definition
Quick tip, if "snuffles" is singular (which it seems it is from the singular giant molerat) then it'd be "themself" even if auto-correct wants it to be "themselves." A singular entity with indeterminate gender would be still referred to as singular, so, "themself" rather than "themselves."
This video’s a lot of fun. I’d suggest doing this in Fallout 4, but I don’t know if there’s much to do just by staying on the road. Edit: I also appreciate that you also get scared by the monsters sometimes in these games. I always play in third person because I don’t want to have to look at them so closely lol.
I don’t think it would play that well in FO4 - it worked so well (at least until it became a grind) because so much of New Vegas’ progression is built upon the highway system. It’s also just a part of this games soul if that makes sense? Fallout 4 certainly has encounters along the road, and plenty of content possible - but a lot of its strengths (crafting, weapon/armor mods etc.) aren’t accessible. Usually those limitations make for a compelling change so maybe it would be fun, I think missing those would be a bummer though
@@Joov Maybe if entering buildings on the road would count. That means lots of places become accessible, especially starting faction quests. Obviously only those that can be reached without leaving the road. (Sidewalks are part of the road, right?) Maybe instead of "without leaving the road" name it "without going offroad", to move the challenge from road only to not running around in the wild.
