@AddedSpace there are indoor locations in the vale but yeah would need a longer timer, the question is what is the shortest timer possible?

A fully true vampire survival that would be. Allergic to sun. Cover as much as you can BUT your heat under all those clothing accessories to cover your skin would eventually overheat you anyway. So the mod would add some new clothing things that you could put on even when you have other stuff on. Helmet / facemask and hood at the same time? No problem, you can and also here's all the variables. You can also sew them yourself at the blacksmith leather thing or combine the mod with some other mod that adds little shops and trading Redguards or other culture like Morrowind's Dark Elfs. Redguards would sell those hats and facemesks, have special light fabrics to not get overheated because of sand and heat in Hammerfell. Dark Elfs would sell hoods because of the ash falls and capes from leather so you can more easily wash the ash from it. Nords sell fured hoods, gloves... Blah blah traders. Kinda like it is in Ice & Fire mod I thing? Cold Winter? But more detailed because it would include things like fabric type, a type of volume which would look like weight, price.... for how much does light pass through it. Basically that's why you get more time but die anyway slowly because of overheating so you have to sleep somewhere cold to keep your Vampire body from dying) Just..... Hear me out... This needs to be made... In short Vampire Survival Tailor pack, tailor shops and tailor traders, Can't eat garlic, some symbols of some God hurts you, fucking mod. I had that same idea when playing with the Forgotten City mod enabled. I try to avoid the courier as long as possible but eventually the guy still gets me and then I get to once again listen to "RICHES BEYOOOND IMAGINING!.." Would be fun to see how far you could get in the Main Quest without him ever touching you

@@AAARREUUUGHHHH There's already mods for that like Nemesis, I think it'd be interesting if he would instead deliver "A letter from Death" that would either drain your health 50 pts /s as soon as it enters your inventory (not droppable) or spawn the Grim Reaper to take you or something. I feel like the iconic interaction of him forcing you into dialogue should be preserved.

We talked about this during the streams actually. I didn't want to spend too much time grinding for extra stamina, so taking adrenaline rush was a solid middle ground. Though a high elf with enough stamina to last 35 seconds would probably be the best strategy

Fun fact: this is actually a common misconception as it's based on player scale instead of actual height, so altmer aren't affected

I got soft locked in Oblivion due to this. Either die outside or die to guards. The funny thing is I was trespassing in the cottage of the old lady who helps cures vampirism, who was helping me.

@@thegoblinking7714 I never touched difficulty in Oblivion so idk how high or low it was but either way it was die to the sun or stay trespassing which I assumed would bring more guards. In retrospect I probably coulda surrendered and go to jail but my teenaged brain never thought of that

Yepp just keep a bunch of duplicate strong potions of healing and sprint everywhere. It's an amusing way to play the game for sure.

But then it's a solved game at some point. He should start with something like a minute and a half and LOSE a second every place he unlocks.

@@Ne1vaan he could put a maximum limit (2 minutes for example reached with 85 places) since Sovengard, Blackreach, Forgotten Vale, etc count as exteriors and to win a challenge it should be possible to finish the game, a rule that he can't re-enter the same place twice unless a quest demands it could also be added if the challenge gets too easy

or it could be on a compounding basis, where each reward second becomes progressively harder to attain. Different source cite there being 300-500 locations in vanilla skyrim (with DLC & Creation Club locations included by some). If we assume there's around 300 (the fandom wiki page "Map (Skyrim) - Locations" lists 341, I counted with code), then we just need to distribute 300 locations across 85 seconds. This is pretty easy with some math and rounding, we say the first second requires 1 location and then play around with numbers for the maximum locations to win a second of outdoor time. Math is boring though, and this is fairly simple. The result comes in as follows; seconds 1 to 8 need 1 location seconds 9 to 25 need 2 26 to 42 need 3 43 to 59 need 4 60 to 76 need 5 77 to 85 need 6 Giving us exactly 300 locations to discover before reaching the maximum time of 2 minutes, which can then be used for the most difficult to reach locations. The reward is only applied once you're safely indoors, no matter how many locations you discover in the outdoor trip.

That's a really fun idea. I'm not sure how feasible that would be and what backend calculations need to occur, but that would be really fun. Only allowing time added for NEW interiors discovered, and over time developing an efficient route would be so much fun

@@Joov would be really cool if it was also possible to retroactively improve things (when you get more stamina for example), but I think that would require graph theory, traveling salesman type problems or at least saving which indoors you came from and how long it took for each new indoors. Such that as long as you keep the from and to the same, but faster you can gain a little bit of time. Could also do a more 'wanderlust' version where each each new interior is just giving you time to live, flat (being indoors doesn't stop the timer, just new places add time)
