I love the fact that in Portugal they don't dub movies... In Brazil, I found difficult sometimes to watch it in English at the movies 'cuz they are mostly dubbed. 🙄🇧🇷❤
@@InstantEnglishUK , I am from Rio , but I have been living in Ireland for 3 years now. When I was in Rio, I had to go to the movies in a richer and more touristic area to watch movies in English. In my neighbourhood it was all dubbed. 😪
To be fair, even I got worcestershire wrong as well, and I'm honestly a beyond fluent speaker. I don't blame anyone, I doubt that follows many English rules.
You should make video like this in Spain too. Pronunciation challenge is sooo fun! And I didn’t know Portuguese people speak English so well 😯 their education system seems to have very high standard. Awesome Portugal! 👏👏👏👏
The english in Portugal is taught much more than in Brazil. Here we start learning english at 5/6 years old but until we've finished school we are not even close to fluent in english. Most people have to take english classes on courses and/or watch movies in english. I have been really good at english lately specialy compared to the people around me, like my parents and friends. I think it's pretty nice that Portugal has a lot more studying and using of the english.
Our many different words with a wide spam of pronunciations makes us the portuguese very good language learners. All Portuguese understand spanish (castelhano) but the opposite thing isn't true
@damiaosantos5579 I've heard this before and it sounds incredible, like do you study Spanish or something or do you just understand it naturally? And the Brazilians, do they understand español as well.
We all know that they dont have anything dubbed in portugal after Dragon Ball Z, it's almost a crime to call that dubbing lmao "VegitaAAaa olha bem... UUUUUUHHHHH"
Broooo the homie at the end of the three that got the workersure sauce nailed it! Haha the way he read it was perfect but the way we say it was wrong. Legit he did the best he coulda done. Better than most. I put the Bert in sherbet
I’ve learned French since I was 4 (as a brit) and barely know anything (I learnt it for 10 years before quitting) and neither does anyone else I know who went through the same education as me - I think the main issue is that we don’t get exposed to any French media since most things are already in English, so nothing we get taught in class ever stuck - the opposite as seen here in Portugal where they were taught English from the same age we were taught French, but they were just much more exposed to it so know it well!
In my home city wow! It would have been so cool if I had had the chance of meeting you ;)... difficult words to pronounce in English: cyclically, ignominious :D
As a Portuguese I've always felt like everyone was bad at pronouncing words correctly, maybe I should try meeting new people so I can see if they're actually good at it. Amazing video as always 💪🏻🇵🇹
I'm an Arab and my nightmare concerning the English language is "phrasal verbs" : i can guess the meaning of "sit down" , "stand up" but seriously "pull over " is very hard to guess if English is not your native language ?!! 🤔 (Maybe you can help us with "phrasal verbs in a different video sir) The second difficult thing for me is the perfect mode " present perfect" the meaning of "perfect " at the time line is a little bit difficult because in Arabic and in many other Eastern languages we just have : one present, one past and one future ...to express the other modes (simple, continuous, perfect) you have to add just some details . 😭 (Edit : sorry if my English is terrible).
Yes I am commenting again. Just for ya to have an idea of the level of "Englishization" here in Portugal, I am 13 y/o My accent might be trash, but at least I can write (fairly) easily
I know this is a really hard word considering it is the longest word in the English dictionary but I was kinda hoping pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolc-anoconiosis was one
I dare you to try this in Spain: "eSkwirrell" "Wetnesdai" "Worthestersireh" "Comfortahbleh" And you'd get a drastically lower level of English than in Portugal.
@@Vynthos I wouldn’t say scary, most of them can tell by the accent, especially if you’re in a tourist area which is used to getting lots of English speaking visitors.
Wednesday ez 2:21 2:54 You where ✅ right it was hard. I'm an English speaker. I have a word test every week 5:18 I already knew it 5:41 Is "Rual" a word?
Hii bro... It's amazing video. I learnt some correct pronunciation from this video. I watched your all videos. All videos are Expectional. I wanna learn british accent. But I'm from India. It's possible to learn British accent or not?... 😊😊
Thing about America is, we are born over here already knowing English lol, that’s all I know. And people say English is the hardest language to learn but I would never know
