Its crazy how well he pulls off the bald look. I think that having a beard helps too so he doesn't look completly hairless and he has a good head shape to pull it off. He also has a badass voice that suits the bald look
tbh I think a lot of it is *because hes a succesful celebrity. channels like QOVES like to hint at existing underlying features that *contribute to Jason "pulling it off". I think a lot of it is the other way around - because people like Jason are widely featured in movies as a celebrity, these features end up become aspirational. I think it would be so much more effective to analyze randos we don't know as a blank slate to analyze the features in a vacuum. But ofc that would be less clickbaity and not as attention grabbing as the theme of a video. In other words, people like Jason served as archetypes making this look good - not the other way around.
@@wills-ol3so It is a bit of both tbh. The guy who played Lex Luthor in BvS didn't look bald throughout most of the movie since his face wasn't suited for it even if the character he played was a stereotypical Bald Bad guy
'I think that having a beard' Thats on purpose. He 100% needs the beard which is why in the past 20 years you almost never see Statham clean shaven. Statham isn't stupid...he keeps a very specific look usually with a heavy stubble look because he wouldnt look anywhere near as good without the stubble.
😂 You’re right. My husband is going bald and so clips it all really short. I love it! He’s not hypermasculine or super muscular but he is thin and fit and has a round rather than pointy head (like Statham). It really works for him and I like being able to rub his head. But yeah, lol, if he gained 20 lbs he’s probably resemble a depressed janitor. 😂
@@Curt__ Oh snaps, I did not mean to! I love my hubby but we are in our 40s, we’re both at risk. Heck if I put on 20 pounds I’d look like a depressed janitors housewife! Or worse, a lunch lady!
I think it's also because everyone is used to seeing him bald, as for example if someone close to you would go bald out of the blue it would feel very different
@@TGV1337 you mean a movie when he was balding hard arleady and on top of that had horrible haircut ? Great example. Everyone looks better with hair period.
If youre bald and want to look attractive just exercise and be fit. If you wanna have a better jaw line, eat more solid foods which will develop the muscles in the jaw. Thats it. Anyone can look good. You dont need to have crazy genetics.
Dudes, if he got hair, he’d lose that uniqueness that made him a superstar. Additionally, it’s kind of silly for people to hate on him and say he’s attractive because he’s a millionaire actor, when he was clearly losing his hair at the start of his career.
“There is no such thing as a good or bad facial feature, they’re just facial features but there is such thing as as good and bad harmony”. This this this & THIS AGAIN!!!
He looks better bald, for sure. Some people really look better bald, its just not common at all. I'm one of them. Women did not find me interesting when I had hair.
Baldness and facial hair are both physical traits that set us apart from women. And the more different you are to the other sex, the more attractive (bar any obvious deformities or extremes). So it's pretty simple really.
Statham is basically a modern day Bruce Willis. He uses teh same formula too. Strong, masculine tough guy. Bruce pulled off the bald look too but he wasn't as fit as Jason.
That not what he means , Bruce was the hot actor long time ago , Jason is now the hot actor and will stay for a while, Bruce is done . That's his point . Not the age but who is popular now , Bruce was popular long time ago
I think scalp micro pigmentation would make him look just straight up better at this style. The cost might be the loss of an even ratio between lower and upper facial thirds, but a net positive-probably.
i think it would change his hard man image in the public eye for roles though, he looks as masculine as he does because he looks like he genuinely doesn't care
I was pissed off when I had to have an operation to have my Prostrate removed for cancer, and sadly there was some cancer cells left behind. But almost at once in the month after the operation my full head of hair began raining dandruff and then my hairline receded a lot. It never came back to normal although the dandruff ceased. I was considered not bad looking but my facial features tend towards the oval and I have large ears so the effect becomes clownish with long hair and ressembling concentration camp prisoner if shaved off. It's a real disadvantage to lose the hair which frames our facial features so well and provides that balance.
Been shaving my head since last October. I’m surprised how many people say I look good. Was worried about it for years. Have a thick short-trimmed beard, fairly symmetrical face, fairly lean-ish, hunter eyes, workout, and have been told I’m “good looking” my entire life. Guess I lucked out. Minus my 5’7” height. 😂🤣
The only time I wouldn’t fear losing my hair is if I had a face and bone structure of someone like Jeremy Meeks. Looking that good, lack of hair has zero effect. Jeremy mogs most good looking guys WITH amazing hair.
I'm a late 30s bald white guy currently living in Japan, and when I have my facial hair grown out a little bit along with the remaining hair I have left (essentially like in the beginning of the video when he is in the interview), Japanese people always tell me I look like Jason Statham. I don't particularly think he is attractive, but I guess being compared to a celebrity isn't such a bad thing lol.
Dr. Linkov! Love this collaboration, he is wonderful. And as a woman attracted to men, I have to say I really find Jason Statham looks better bald then with any of those hair options. Perhaps micro-pigmentation to make the scalp shadowing more even around the hairline could be an improvement, but that would be it for me.
As an Asian, whenever I buzz my head or go for that skin bald look, Asian people give me offerings and ask me to pray to Buddha for someones well-being or behalf 🥲 LOL
In fact, Statham is better without hair because he has a pretty rare hyper masculine balanced three third ratio due to his impressive bone structure (strong forehead underestimated by many so-called experts, deep eyes set , lantern jaw) ...All of that is purely genetics and related to a very high testoterone level. If you look closely at the rock , you will see his egg shape forehead is very far from perfect unlike to Staham . Conclusion ,you have to be robust everywhere if you want to be great as a bald man .... no hair to hide your small forehead, no beard to hide your small jaw, no squinty eye look to make your eyes appear deep set .:)
@@jaden5843 yeah I am sure of it I saw many people who were statisfied from the result. In my country this kinda genetic fate is treated and I get a full refund for the surgery. I only need to pay for an orthodontist and preparations for the surgery 3400USD (my parents support me financially) instead of paying for surgery too which costs a lot. I started my journey I need to wear braces to be ready for surgery. I will probably get the surgery done next year (I hope)
My friend's baby daddy has been bald as long as I've known him at least 10 years and in our early thirties I mocked it, but after watching this breakdown and after him aging I know see the similarities between him and Jason Statham,,, like a lot of them,, and I think that he would look funny with hair
@@sookiezboly4502tall, relatively muscular, nice trimmed beard and well kept face and you are set on. The thing you're totally in control is hygiene and muscles so if you're going bald just embrace it and improve yourself in other areas where you have control over it
Him and The Rock are always the ones people point to when they try to claim "Being bald looks good on men!" When in reality they know that's false. There's very few men who can pull it off, even the attractive ones would get messed up if they went bald
@@pingeeeDudes already thinning his hair he should be hoping on fin , minoxidal or even save some for hair transplant or his fanbase will leave him and it will be ovER for him
lol yeah because people don't generally like pity and self-pity is liked even less. what that amounts to is yes a man that is bald looks bad for the most part unless that man was attractive with hair. then more likely than not, being bald is not a total loss and sometimes you can look good but as good as if you had hair. most bald men then have no choice and rather than have self-pity society has to push the fiction, you look better bald. you don't look better bald, you look better bald as opposed to having a comb over or a bad toupee. everyone looks better or best with a full head of hair. period.
GUYS...your hair/(lack of it), doesn't define your Manhood. Statham is considered an Alpha/badass regardless of his hair/lack of. It's all in the ATTITUDE...
Most of my friends prefer me with a bald head than head with hair. May be because I've a bigger forehead and a bald head brings harmony to my head coz it makes the rule of ⅓rd perfectly. Also I feel confident when I'm clean headed.
@@BitchChill yeah. Tbh, I've a big head and when there's little to no hair, it looks better. Whereas when I grow my hair, it looks a bit disappointing.😅
No one looks better bald, hair is the second most expressive feature after eyes and hair literally frames your face. No matter how handsome someone is bald makes him look like a clone. It literally destroys an entire face making someone soul less.
@@pizzasandburritos2173 That is completely subjective. Jeremy Meeks for example, kills it with the bald gangster look. Him having hair would make him look like a gay wannabe
2:14 Vin Diesel doesn't have a round jawline. You can draw that line because he's getting old but you can see in movies when he was younger that his is squared. Not very wide but still square.
If u re bald, u better go to a gym and get FIT. Wide shoulders and back, strong legs and good arms will do the trick to look very masculine and dominant
This is a great discussion! I would like to see a video llike this on Shemar Moore. I think that unlike Jason, Shemar has an "angel skull" and being bald at least from the side angle, did not work for him.
Balding as a man really forces you to get to the gym, huh? After losing my own hair, I feel like I have to balance/diminish my more feminine facial features. I find that I look “off” without a beard or stubble, but that may also have something to do with being so young. I wonder if there are any examples of very feminine male faces that look great bald ? It’s as if you have to look hyper-masculine when you’re a bald man. Suck, but I guess that’s how it is.
Im getting hair transplant next month.. Honestly, fuck that whole it is what is bs acceptance. After that hair transplant i could go bald but atleast i would have a well defined front hairline, not some nordwood 3 line while being. Just straight. 😂 I dont get why everytime men have insecurity we litteraly just ask them to suck it up even when there are method to deal with it. Im pretty sure if back then bald men could prevent blading they would glady doing and not go with the rambling on how balding is all nature bla bla bla 😅 Feminine has nothing to do my man, balding just suck. Also in the case of Jason, most of us have only known him as bald, so we all have a bias.
I don´t think so. There are even women who look nice with a bald head (even if it´s rare). If that works, then a rather feminine looking male should be able to pull it off aswell. As a man it´s mostly about confidence anyway. We don´t necessarily have to look pretty.
Usually people find me approachable when my hairs buzzed low, when my hair is long, people are more intimidated usually asking their friends to come up to me. I have a skinny face so when I have a buzz people think I’m Egyptian (I’m a light skinnededed Ethiopian kid)
I’m bald myself. I think he would look better with a completely shaved head and lining up his beard by shaving his neck and check line. It would be a cleaner look.
having incredibly masculine features definitely helps with him looking better bald, I myself have softer facial features, and these softer features are not features that would go well with a bald look, Jason looks like a badass mafia boss with a bald style, while I'd look like a depressed alcoholic office worker in his 50s with a bald style
And rugged bald head fits his rugged face. But handsome men would never look good with bald heads. Meaning his not classically attractive, he’s ruggedly attractive. It’s like women with waves, only beautiful faces women can, unattractive women’s ugly features come out more with waves. I feel the same is true with bald men; it only looks better for rugged ones.
interesting how having perfect hair would actually make him less attractive I think you are right that his large jaw and overly masculine face means the bald look is very appropriate on him. it is simultaneously balancing the height of his face, aligning with his masculine persona, and it adds enough visual interest and "inperfection" to make him seem human, unique, and interesting to look at Very rare for this to work though. Not many have ideally masculine facial features and the extra tall lower third (not to mention great body shape)
@@bizcaya Here's the thing with Statham which gets overlooked. Ever noticed you never see him clean shaven either on his head or face? Try and find a picture of him clean shave in the past 20 years. Almost impossible. He always has a heavy stubble look on the sides of his head and face which is on purpose to frame his face. My point is when you are bald you have to keep extremely specific looks or it doesn't work as well which is why almost all white bald guys look better with facial hair and sometimes even keeping that slight head stubble. Statham actually spends more specific effort maintaining his specific look than most actors because he's always keeping his stubble at extremely specific lengths.
I can. People often think I’m Jason when I’m out and about. I explained this to a young lady I was chatting up in fragrance store and she said you’re much better looking than him. I think I’ve blushed. We were talking about my head and ended up swapping numbers!
Whilst true in the majority, it's not just the athletic build but the air of confidence. Evan Handler, for example, is not overly athletic but he holds himself in a way that his baldness enhances his character. You could probably say the same for a number of company executives .
I started balding at 19. Now that I’m 39 I realize I’ve been bald over half my life. At least we have the option to buzz our heads which I’ve always done. In the 70’s you would have to do awful comb overs or balding afros. I’ve seen pictures of my dad back then…bruuuutal
Dude not even you believe what you just wrote. Anyone with that appearance is pleasant to the eyes. There's a guy in my country who was homeless and handsome as fvck and he was offered a model career and became viral in the whole country. Of course it's an extreme case but the point is the guy was seen as handsome and attractive regardless of his position in society as he was at the worst one.
While that comment is true. Keep in mind that it would be the same with a full head of hair. Nobody gives a fck about some average guy just because he has hair like anybody else.
Jason started as a model, he would never work in gas station because world would find a way to make him rich, just as Jeremy meeks who made all mistake he could in life but at the end, he is a millionaire.
If anyone wants to experiment, I read that a topical 0.05% Methylene Blue solution (USP grade only) applied to the head followed by 30 minutes of red light therapy a few times a week can help with hair growth as well as re-pigmentation.
No, no I can't. Stratham has the ideal head shape for a bald look. Lucky him, I am the total opposite of him regarding optimal head shape for the bold look.
Yes. He looks better with Hair. Every man looks way better with Hair. Theres no doubt about it. Some men can pull off the balding look due to the shape of their skull, but Even they look better with Hair. Jason statham is an action movie Star, so he looks more though bald. But again, Hair = life.
True, the rock is one of the very few men who look better without hair. While some men may look okay bald, 99% of the time look better with hair. As for likelihood of looking good bald, it would be black>white>asian
I have a comment on a hair video published on this channel with over 4k likes. I'll say it again - even if you do manage to pull the bald look off, you'd still look better with hair.
Re: the photoshops: the hairstyles clash with his facial hair (which is style to suit his current hair). If he had those hairstyles, but was cleanshaven or had a light modern groomed beard, it would look more natural.
Jason Statham is not conventionally attractive, he is not attractive at all if you really look at him, he's just famous. Knowing that he's a massive and charismatic celebrity changes your perception of his attractiveness. There are countless people who look like Jason, no one pays attention to them and no one considers them attractive, because they simply aren't famous. The comparison between two photos where Jason has hair and wears a suit, on the left side, and where he is bald and wears a polo, on the right side, drove this point home for me. The beauty is in the eye of the beholder, or, to be more correct, in the brain.
there is so treatment for it for starters. Beside he is like nw7. There is not enough donor area. Money will not help. Sure he can create something on his head but it also requires taking meds. So no money can bring you hair back in the way it would look great. At least not for nw7
I think this was an important video because watching QOVES, you always do bald(ing) men so dirty. It's true that not every man is Jason Statham and not everyone can rock the bald look as amazingly as Jason. It's a given. But there are so many masculine, good looking men who shouldn't be discouraged by the message you guys usually tell to bald men.
@@karpcopy I never made the argument that bald is attractive in and of itself. Hair is beautiful in an of itself and ugly men will greatly benefit from having beautiful hair that fits their face. But, if you are attractive as a man and masculine, baldness isn't as bad as people make it out to be. Bald is similar to having long hair as a man as only attractive men can rock the long hair while it makes most men look uglier. My problem with QOVES is that they usually have a narrow "boyish" standard for male beauty. The ideal seems to be a k-pop star or Timothée Chalamet. Pretty boys who dress like homosexuals. Rugged good looks are equally valid.
