I've done it. 15.000km with 120 on the front and 180 on the back. Never had any issues because of it, but I'm switching back to the default ones, just because is the recommendation. They do look like a square but it looks like a bigger bike.
Just slapped the Michelin Road 6 160/60 on the rear and man it’s Amazon!! It was meant to be. I do feel the difference in turning compared to the stock 150/60 tire but honestly nothing you wouldn’t think of. This tires shreds.
I went with the Q3s 120/160. Tires alone make a huge difference in handling and feel. I did notice it raises the height a tad. Mine was a night and day difference from the stock tires. They stay planted solid at 120 round a curve.
Remember will affect handling as wider heavier unsprung weight you will feel it, and may even rob a hp or 2 as more weight to spin on 400 140 probably fine get into 160 would really put drag on small 400 twin
I appreciate your input, but as far as i'm concerned, the bike is not slower and it runs great for me. Honestly it feels a whole lot better across the board😅.
Definitely looks cool! Bigger tire = heavier tire = slower acceleration. Anything past 160 really makes the bike feel sluggish to tip over and turn. It also changes the distance the axel is from the ground. Which effects rake/trail/swing arm angle, etc... 140 for the track. 160 for the girls. Lol
Unless you ride in perfectly straight lines, this will handle far worse than a 160. Anything more at that power is just added weight and drag. This is why track bikes go down to 140.
