i did this months ago and it works fine for me. i have the ESR tempered glass and the paperlike matte on top. No issues whatsoever. Biggest challenge was aligning the matte protector to the glass protector to perfection during installation so that i don't have the matte edges hanging off.
Heya. I need a help. Pls suggest me a matte screen protector that: -makes my pencil tip last longer -has less color noise (I can adjust if it helps me the other two more but I kinda edit pics.. so,.. you know..) -lasts longer (doesn't get scratches easily) I'm hell of a note-taking person who also does photo editing a lot and vid editing (sometimes)... Bdw, great wallpaper!
I absolutely love that you made this video! I do digital art and have been using the tempered glass for a year now, but my pencil slides so much, so I tried the paper texture screen protector. This might just be me but I think I was so used to the tempered glass that I felt my screen was naked and prone to damage with just the thin matte protector and without the tempered glass. So I really wanted something stronger without losing the nice feel of the matte protector! You're a life saver!! Keep up the awesome work!!
@@LouMonestime Can you put a Hydrogel Protector and on top of that another Tempered Glass on a phone ? Basically the opposite of what you just did. Would that protect the mobile screen better than a single tempered glass ?
@@Lisse... Hi. I did! The Glass + Matt protector method worked wonders for me and it's all I've used for my ipad, since the matt is so thin and comfy to draw on and the glass is the actual protector one. You do have more distance between your pencil and your actual ipad screen if you do this though. I'm used to this and don't mind it at all, but some people might not like it. Hope this helps!
I do this! I originally just had a tempered glass screen protector for maybe 2 years finishing school, and it honestly wasn't a huge deal with note taking because I was used to it Recently though doing more digital art, I wanted to see if a matte surface would help me with the control of my lines more - but I couldn't get rid of my tempered glass, because that thing has actually saved my screen .. it has several chips in it by now because of the number of times I've dropped my ipad (oops) I ended up chopping down my matte screen protector (I have that Japanese paper brand found on Amazon) so that it covered only the screen portion (I have the older iPad pro with the home button) since the edges of the tempered glass were curved, but the matte protector went to the edge of the screen
Gosh I had tempered glass for my phone, and I also love that matte texture feeling on my iPad ( easyswitch paperlike screen protector ). Definitely will buy one for my phone ^^
I do this because I love the balance of the extra protection of glass screen protectors and the matte finish of these matte supershieldz screen protectors I hate fingerprints!
Thanks for this!! I want to do this since i got my ipad with tempered glass already. And i feel its such a waste to get rid of it and replace with a matte one
@@moneebad4395 hi, yes i didnt remove my tempered glass and just put the paperlike matte screen protector on top of the tempered glass. no problem at all for me! :) i got the paperlike one since i want to write on my ipad.
Great video, I also plan to put the tampered glass then paperlike screen protector on my iPad, already have all of that but the iPad pro and pencil still on the way. Thanks for the information 🙏🏼
I did put the Paperlike on top of the screen protector and it has worked just fine. I do like the feel of a more paper then glass of the Paperlike. However, if I upgrade my iPad Pro I will only do the Paperlike.
How is it…I have a tempered glass screen protector on my iPad but I want a paper like one to take notes…so I’m thinking of putting paper like screen protector on the tempered one..is it ok?
This is great to know! I'm going to replace my glass screen protector on my laptop since it's got cracks and a few chips. I do a ton of digital art on it and would love the paper feel. The main problem I hit every time is that the glass is too slippery. But I didn't wanna give up the protection of the glass. So it's great to know that it's possible to do both! Thanks for making the video!
Thank you! I love my paper like, but I know that it doesn't provide the protection of a tempered glass protector. My new air 4 will have both thanks to you!
When I purchased my iPad I put a tempered glass protector on it before I knew about matte. I have the Astropad matte protector/ pen tips now. I layer because I'm afraid to remove the original tempered glass protector because I'm a klutz (ADHD FTW 😂). I'm afraid that I will drop my iPad one day. It works. I do have to adjust the pressure settings because I do have to press a little harder.
This is something I have been wanting to try on my Kindle Fire 8 as I don’t always have it in my hands in a ‘safe’ environment. It’s not the price of the Kindle that makes me want to protect it as much as not wanting to be without my primary reading device.
@@LouMonestime So I now have a Supershieldz anti-glare layered over my existing Omoton tempered glass protector and find it to be quite acceptable. I have not found an anti-glare tempered glass protector for the Kindle Fire 8 (8th generation) so this is an effective work-around. Thanks for posting the video - you do quality work!
So glad I found this video! I have been wondering about this for 2 years! I am a lawyer and I make alllll my notes on my iPad..but I was trying to find a screen that felt more like a paper
I use a matte protector with magnets over my glass. When I want to watch movies it's super easy to remove the matte because it does dull colors a little. Also, with the magnetic stripes there's no air bubbles
so would you recommend this? i order a paperlike screen protector and a tempered glass. I was thinking about doing this when my ipad arrives. Also, great video!
Had this doubt for quite some time..but didn't know someone actually made a video to guide us.and very calm and well explained video.. thanks keep up the good work
@@moneebad4395 yes it works perfectly fine, but my matte finish screen protector wasn’t of a great quality so it got scratches very soon ,so had to remove it,but ya u can remove only the top screen protector without removing/damaging the bottom tempered glass screen protector
@@cr26tk39 I have magnetic paper like screen from the brand iStary and im not satisfied about its low level if friction so what do u recommend, which brand of matte screen(not necessarily magnetic one)
Idk of you're still wondering, but I have both on my Tab s8 plus and it works perfectly with writing. My finger scanner even works fine, too. It can be tricky getting both perfectly aligned, but I love having both.
