Heat press is a life saver in screen printing........ My question is why does paint that has been cured by a heat press pass the current stretch test,but down the road paint starts to crack..... The heat press makes paint feel as if it's on top of shirt .. When I don't heat press the paint just kinda fades color.... I try heat press all my shirts..sometimes at a low temp of 240 to 250... If I went to far on underbase paint,I will turn heat press up to around 320 to 330... sometimes I need to press twice..the heat press will condense the paint like and give that shinny look... I like the shinny look...but some don't like the shinny look... Another issue is sometimes the after going through flash .the next layer of paint will stick to screen printing panel....I think the paint is to hot at times...but then there are times it's not hot and material still wants to stick to screen when lifting... I lost my courage.. I did a job that past the stretch test to have paint come off shirt.. I know that moisture can cause issues....I try to flash my material for 20 seconds to get moisture out before I lay paint.... When you say wash three times, is that a wash and dry cycle three times or literally washing the garment three times consecutively and then drying? Thanks for the content!
