I tried to reach a really magnificent rainbow outside of my university last summer, and it seemed to be really close. So I walked and walked, then walked some more, then walked some more, and then I said "wtf how far away is it?!", and then gave up 30 minutes later.
You are completely wrong about not being able to see the end of a rainbow. I know for a fact that you can because I saw it for 10 to 15 min watching 7 little kids running in and out of this rainbow reaching out like they were trying to touch it as they entered the rainbow you could see the haze of color over them making it look like they were in a colored fog or something like that I looked at the faces of the parents some with their mouths wide open others with their hands over their mouths and all eyes wide open including mine it was one of the coolest things I have ever saw and still remember vividly what it looked like.It happened at a park about 50 yards from a lake. The treasure at the end of that rainbow was getting to see the kids running in and out of it having the time of their lives.
Yes, You are right. You saw playing kids at the end of rainbow but kids did not know that they were playing at the end of rainbow. If you went to the end of rainbow you couldn't find end of rainbow. You would find that the rainbow was in another place or disappeared. You never go to the end rainbow But you can see it.
I believe you! I have been lucky been at the end twice and both the same, you see all the Dust Mites in an array of colors all around you. Just Amazing and once in a lifetime.

I'm sorry, you are mistaken. In 2006 I was working as an electrician on a drydock at James Marine in Paducah, KY. The drydock that I standing on top of, was on one side of the river. I watched a Rainbow as it crossed from the other side of the river. When the rainbow crossed the river and covered me it stopped on me for a while. I was wearing light khaki pants. I could see the color of light that I was standing in. I was also able to see variances in the light. I spread my legs apart and could see, very easily, that I had two different colored legs. I looked over at an adjacent drydock and I noticed that the guys there were looking in my direction. I keyed the radio and asked a supervisor on their drydock if the were seeing my light show and they confirmed that they were seeing it also. I could also feel the mist from the rain that I could clearly see. The Rainbow that was shrouding me was riding the edge of the rain. I was expecting to get drenched once the rainbow preceded behind me, however that never happened. After sometime, the Rainbow changed directions and went back across the river.
On July, Friday the 13th, 2018, my oldest daughter & I were driving home during a long distance trip. There were a few scattered, lighter showers & then we saw a beautiful rainbow arcing to the right of us. As we approached we saw the end of the rainbow touching the road that the traffic was driving through & we drove right through the very end of 1 end of that rainbow. The light in the brief few seconds entering & exiting it was a light, yellowish gold color. My mom had told a story years ago about my brother & herself driving to & standing in the end of the rainbow. I honestly wasn’t sure what she saw but now that we experienced it, I believe her. What an amazing thing to witness!
That's exactly what I've always thought. I've even seen a full circle rainbow from a plane. But one day I was driving on a freeway in California when I saw a rainbow that looked like it had one end pointing towards a section of freeway I was heading towards. I expected my viewpoint of the rainbow to move as I got closer, but it didn't. I saw it ending right on the road in front of me and as I drove through it, I hit a blinding light and hit my brakes. Everyone around me was doing the same thing at the same time, so I know it wasn't just me. Once through that patch of light, looking back there was no rainbow from the other side of it. I'm willing to believe there was more to that experience than an average rainbow, as I've never seen anything else like it and in trying to drive towards any rainbow's end intentionally has always resulted in it moving just as described in this video. But I really want to know what it was that I saw!!! I honestly would never have believed it if I hadn't experienced it myself. It doesn't make sense. But that's what it looked like! Like I was driving right through the end of a rainbow.
I've stood under the end of a rainbow and it is truly magical. And it's like gold flakes floating all around you. It is also a sign for Us from God to remember his promise to us that he would not flood the earth entire again.
Just because you have never seen the end doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist. I’ve driven through one. I was at a stop light when it started and I drove out of it. It was about 45-50ft to get out of it and it was like driving through the colors, literally. It was the most amazing thing I’ve ever seen.
Ok, I'm honestly not trolling you! I HAVE BEEN TO THE END OF A RAINBOW. Some friends and I were riding bikes one day when a rainbow formed on our street. We went through it stood in it, ran through it, waved our hands through it! Then we had the bright idea to find the OTHER END, and raced on bikes to the adjacent neighborhood. We were 50 feet or so from reaching the second end of the rainbow when it finally stopped sprinkling (it was barely raining in our South Florida neighborhood) and the rainbow vanished before we could reach the second end, but at least we got to see and "touch" the first end. We could all clearly see the fixed points where both ends touched the ground though, so this video is not completely accurate.
Yeah actually you can interact with a rainbow directly right now if you want...get a prism. Anyone saying is not possible are shortsighted, scientifically speaking. For that to happen at a huge scale you would need a much more rare set of circumstances...but not that rare. I've driven through the end of a rainbow...it was a stationary illusion in that circumstance. Much like when you aim a prism...
It is not accurate. I too have seen the end of a rainbow on a sidewalk near my house. I ran to it and stood in it and waved my arms. It was a cool maybe once in a lifetime experience. I hoped not ha. But because science hates God they will lie to us.
I've actually seen the end of a rainbow. I didnt have to travel all the way to where I thought it ended I just one day looked outside my window and saw the rainbow meeting the ground.
Make scene, but my and my mom drove through the end of a rainbow one time. We were driving to get an oil change, and it just happened to us. We weren't trying to do that at all. Just driving down the road. We were very shocked. I thought it wasn't possible, but I think there can be circumstances where other variables are at play, and it actually happens. A lot of times science states that something is not possible, until someone has created an experiment that proves that under certain circumstances that an event can happen. Science is a great tool, but it's always evolving with new discoveries, not a static end of of knowledge. I think there were other factors at play then a standard rainbow observation. It seemed that as we passed through it, the water droplets ended, and that may be the extra factor that made it happen. A down·pour concentration.
My boy friend and I saw one coming from over a church and ending in the center of a small intersection while sitting at a four way stop sign. It was impossibly clear and we were so stunned that we just sat there until it faded away. We can’t believe we didn’t get out of the car and stand in it while it wasn’t even 5yards away
My girlfriend and I actually drove under a rainbow. We were traveling on the interstate with the sun to our backs. When we went under it, I felt a split second calming and then a chill all over. She felt a euphoria of disbelief that this even happen. We could not believe it! We rolled the windows down and could see it on the backside until it faded away. Mind Blown!

Sometimes a little bit of the light passing through raindrops reflects back through the drops a second (or third, or fourth!) time. When my daughter was between 10 and 12 we used to go out rainbow chasing in the hills, I recommend it to any parent. Put on the hardest music at full blast, we used to do drum and base then chase .....
I saw the end of a rainbow on the highway and it reflects a gold light on the ground. Which is a mixture of all the colors of the rainbow mixed together with a hint of sun rays making the reflection appear gold.
You said if we were to go to the end of a rainbow we wouldn't be standing in the rainbow, well if you can't see it, it doesn't mean it's not there it has been proven that there is an end but no gold, and up you just can't see it.

I have drove through 3 rainbows and everything was firey Golden and looked like sparking color. Probably the actual most beautiful thing I have and will see in my lifetime. I wasn't alone in the car. Every car had windows down and hands out trying to touch the colored light. Also each rainbow increased in translucency as we headed south.

Today it was raining and then the sun came and there was a rainbow close to us (also it was one my my aunts weddings under the thingy there was a tiny rainbow close to us it was sooo cool!)
Regardless of what this woman says, and the scientific facts that she presents, I MUST refute her claim. We were driving to Daytona Beach a few years ago, traveling on 95S in the area of Savannah, GA, and 4 carloads of people in our traveling "pack"(a total of 12 people) drove directly THROUGH a rainbow on 95S. We ALL described the exact same experiences, sights, and sounds, or lack thereof sound. It was truly a once in a lifetime experience that I will NEVER forget. Probably as close to Heaven one will ever get to while alive.
I have seen the end of a rainbow. Driving down the street one day I saw the rainbow I followed it with my eyes . It ended on land next to the Rd. I parked got out and walked up to it . It was amazing the colors on the ground were very intense and shiny. The gold looked like real gold. That was the day I wished I had not be fight technology and had a phone that took pictures. So I have no proof. I stuck my arm in it. It was like it took my arm to another dimension. Amazing things have took place since that day. It has Gods name all over it. Believe that there is an end because there is😊

With so many people online claiming to have driven through a rainbow, why are there no videos of such an event online? It's not possible to travel through, under, around, or to the end of a rainbow. No matter how much you tell yourself you've done it, or how much you want to believe it.

I appeared to drive through a rainbow: The rainbow was in front of the car, then it was behind the car. I do not know what the conditions of the rain and sun and the angles of it all had to be to do this, but it did happen to me: Rainbow in front of the car - drove through the rainbow - rainbow behind the car on the same road. It was in Oregon on a mountain road with an isolated shower in the summer. I will acquiesce that it may have been two rainbows, but at first the rainbow was in front of me, and then it was behind me.
I had a friend tell me he was riding the horse through a rainbow once. I was not sure if it was possible or not. One summer I was cooking at a camp and after all was done at the end of the day I sat down outside the dinning room. I saw the rainbow in front of me. It was beautiful, and it seemed to keep getting closer to me. Then all of a sudden everything around me seemed red, it was beautiful. A few seconds later, I saw the rainbow behind me. Can you pass through a rainbow. Many people say now, but I know what I saw that day. It was possible, but you need the right circumstances with the sun in the right position compared to you and the rain.
I,m an over the road truck driver and I have driven through 7 rainbows the colors are very intense inside the rainbow and the sun reflects on the inside with a bright golden tinted. Each time I won something on the lottery right after being physically touch by the light of a rainbow

@@daviddow3705 Yes, it was at our feet - when we first noticed it, we were sitting on the back porch and I thought - that rainbow sure looks close & I actually walked right up to it - I couldn’t believe it - we took pictures and you can very clearly see it on the ground - but I imagine if someone else told me this story I would find it hard to believe, too - lol - and I’m sure I’ll never see it again but it was amazing
while vacationing in the mountains of the rockies we drove through a rainbow everything turned green it was the coolest thing I ever seen. my parents didn't have a camera to take a picture tho
I've driven through a rainbow before, as well as back when I was in high school one was ended on my school. Everything was super vivid and bright, but for me both times it was highly yellow. I actually pulled over and took pictures last time. Outside of it was gray and dreary, inside was bright and cheerful. Like, brighter than a summer day. Lots of people have done this around here
The end of the rainbow, the tooth fairy, father christmas... Most cultures produce a few stories or legends for children, and generally we like them, so they get repeated, and potentially conscripted into sales and marketing like Christmas and Easter. We also tell children the policeman is their friend, they can always trust the local priest, and the president / prime minister / head honcho is a wise man we have chosen to run things for the good of us all. ... Kids'll believe anything...

I did drive through a light patch on a rainbow in the green /yellow range ages ago and am obsessed with what conditions would had to have existed for that to happen. I understand the premise of the illusion, but as you can do this with a prism (aim a beam of refracted light relative to the position of the prism), there must be a set of conditions that exists where it may be achieved including rain...it will drive me crazy. Was a ridiculously awe inspired moment and I do understand the basics of physics...so...science nerds to the front...find the set of circumstances that would be necessary for a large refraction of light like a rainbow to be able to hold a position...and yes, once we traveled through this point (we were in a car) you could not see the rainbow looking back. I'm thinking the rain had to be a dense patch that had a very hard line without gradient in terms of precipitation, as one required ingredient.

Actually, it's a rain cone. It just looks like a circle because our eyes are at the apex of the cone. Light from the sun comes from behind us then channelled along the cone back towards our eyes. Doesn't the orientation of a rainbow rely on the position of the light source? If it depended on the observer's position, then wouldn't everyone always only perceive rainbows from a centered position? If you see a rainbow NOT from a centered position, doesn't that naturally imply that it exists separately from you, and therefore you could possibly physically find the end of it, as long as it lasts long enough for you to follow it?
On a sunny day experiment. Use a water hose, make it eject a fine sprinkle, move it over and around you and observe If there are children around make them happy and let them join.
My family & I live in Saratoga Springs & have seen the end of a rainbow in a cornfield that their building more houses in +15 years ago & we didn't see a pot of gold at the end; I think that I've also seen one with one of its ends on Utah Lake & nothing can be placed on water (unless the water is ice).

I understand its not supposedly possible but, I saw a rainbow in front of a hedgeline, I walked there amd surly enough light was projected on the ground, weird huh.. other people have accounts were either all crazy or some atmospheric conditions cause an apparent rainbow to project on the ground, so from a far it did have the familiar rainbow shape as though it passed in front of the bushes.

Jason same!! But not in Australia, it was in Wisconsin in the late 90's...similar condition...big spring storm abruptly ending. What the vid fails to mention is the fact that the rainbow moves if the conditions remain the same...ie the foreseeable distance in front of you has rain.

I've seen the end of a rainbow. Not more than 100 yards from my location hitting the middle of pond and its base so large that it also prisms thru the trees on the other side of the pond. She may be right in saying I couldn't walk over to it and stand in the prisms but shes dead wrond if shes implying that you can't see the end of one close up.
You're wrong. I have been at the end of a rainbow. Beautiful sparkling light. I could move from color to color. No gold or whatever. Just very pretty. I believe it's because rainbow end was in hilly area and Vandenberg Air Force Base is on coast. I worked for Western Space Missile Center. Missile flight surveillance.

I have seen the end of a rainbow in Wyoming. Miles n Miles i'm seeing this awesome rarity of colors. Then I look to my left in a semi doin 75 so no pic. The end of that rainbow was a clear vapor several feet before the colors started.

I think the reason why she's saying that we can't reach the end of a rainbow is that it's a full circle; you can see a full circle rainbow if you're inside a plane up in the air! Is that why you're saying we can't reach the end BrainStuff???
i tried to get to the end of a rainbow once the end result was a broken arm and two broken ribs from falling out a tree i never tried to fine the end of a rainbow again haha
This isn't really true. I just found the end of a rainbow, walked up to it(while seeing it) a d got inside of it. The rainbow however did disappear when i got closer than 5ft.
I wasn't searching for a rainbow but it appeared as I was driving and passed through my truck from behind. It kept moving and as I was going 10 mph, it moved away at... say 30 mph. I was chasing it, I chased the end of the rainbow. I also was in the end of a 🌈. She is absolutely wrong.

I got to this video, FROM a video where a dude literally drives through one. So like. How about you not... rainbows are actual circles. Yes you may find one. Yes the conditions would need to be perfect. Even downto location. But impossible? Not at all. Also, as a scientist, impossible isnt really a word we use kinda try to stay away from negative definites.
