I bought those little Minnie and Mickey cars and I covered the price with a Minnie and Mickey stickers. I also bought the Disney ducks and I took my scissors and cut off the end and used a blue permanent marker and colored in the end where I cut it off. Completely can't tell I cut off the price.
It’s so annoying to deal with price tags on items. I’ve been known to not purchase items because of this issue. Thank you for talking about this & giving good suggestions❤
I used DT's website to complain about the printed price. We all need to do this. Having a printed price on the items is downright tacky! Your "cover-ups" help Lisa, but, I don't think I will be giving DT items as gifts. I lose out & DT loses out.
Great ideas. It’s because people are reselling DT for double the price. I see Dollar Tree items at Goodwill for double the price. Or take 3-5 dollar items and put them in the 1.25 section by taking off the sticker. That is why! So frustrating for sure. Thanks for giving great ideas. AWESOME 🤩!!
Dollar Tree stop putting the big price on the packaging!! No one wants to give a gift with a big price displayed on it. . . Great Video about something we’ve all been annoyed about!
An idea that I had about covering up the circles is add another circle. They sell all those little circle stickers in different colors so you can always try to find one to match the color of the package or tag or whatever it is. You’re trying to cover up and do it that way. I guess I could’ve just deleted this comment but I’m just gonna add to it that I did not watch the whole video when I posted my comment lol but I’m glad we all have the same idea.
How helpful! I love making gift baskets for Christmas and was bumming about the stupid price tag. You gave me some great ideas to save them! I plan to put some Merry Christmas stickers on them! Thanks for the great ideas! Happy Saturday! 💕
Great ideas. I’m going to try some of them. Most recipients wouldn’t care but I think that blatant price tag is tacky and will make our gift baskets look cheap.
Hi! When Crafty girl posts her junk journal possibilities she shows the garage sale stickers that are round and in different colors! Everytime I see them I think that they would work on the dreaded price tags! Then I wake up this morning and see this post! 😂 I love how your brain works! Keep it coming ❤
Dollar Tree has lots of great stickers. That's what I've been using. I found some cute smily face stickers awhile back and have been using those. I like the white out idea. And I agree that DT needs to put the price as a removable sticker.
I have so many Christians gift to wrap each year, instead of spending 20 minutes trying to get those stickers off, I use Christmas stickers to covers up the price, sometimes I use black sharpie
I don't like the sticker, but it doesn't matter to me how much someone spends on me for a gift. It's the thought that counts and matters. I was raised not to be selfish or rude!
Lisaaaaa! You are so THOUGHTFUL AND CONSIDERATE for doing all the hard work and research on all of our behalf! I LOVE your suggestions! The ONLY suggestion I did not see in your demo today was a copy of your Nationwide Petition? ☺️ But seriously, I would definitely sign it! 😁
If you gift me something with additional sticker or cover up marker, I will definitely try to dig out what was underneath that sticker, honestly a lot of people get intrigued when you try to hide something from them.
If I had to make an educated guest, why they’re putting the printed 1.25 on there is because people are taking their products and reselling them on websites for more money 🤨 bye some cute stickers to put on the price 😀
I think it’s the thought that counts. DT gets in really nice items. Some cost a lot if bought from other places. Is the item worth giving? Is it useful? Would the person like it? Would I like if it was given to me? That is what matters. Not how much you paid for it.
If you’re giving something as a gift, just take it out of the package and put it in a little box or a big box. Or wrap it in tissue and give it as a gift. It doesn’t have to stay in the package it came in. This is making more difficult than it needs to be.
