In this video I played 4 songs in reverse. First we'll listen backwards, then the original. Can you recognize them? Subscribe!! goo.gl/dH53fJ Instagram: goo.gl/9FAFP5 Facebook: goo.gl/YZyQPu Twitter: goo.gl/x5V4kf
I know this is a joke, but he actually has a piano that can play songs or pieces automatically, most likely with midi files. It frankly is an interesting piano.
SirBrandonfx This is the type of teacher that would actually make you shut the fuck up and listen because you don't know the shit he can pull with that deadly ass look.
Me: **cannot recognize happy birthday” Also me: **recognizes flight of the bumblebee in 1.5 seconds** Maybe this is because flight of the bumble is so fast that it sounds the same reversed.
It became an unsettling funeral dirge. Though the process of slowing it down did leave some echo-y artifacts that playing it yourself would lack. My sister couldn't recognize it at all slowed down. (Took a 1 min recording and stretched it out to 5 mins.) I played her a version at twice the normal speed and she got it in two seconds. High speed really helps imply the frantic motion.
Yep! I knew right away it was Bach but guessed the wrong piece. Bach sounded great here played backwards. It must be because his music is so highly structured that it is harmonically correct and you can still hear the voices answering each other no matter whether it is played backwards, upside down, etc. This wouldn't work with most composers.
Flight of the bumblebee in reverse sounds like something straight out of an old 1930es cartoon where Mickey Mouse accidentally summons the devil or something like that
I recognized all but #1. Why is "Happy Birthday" so hard to recognize when it's distorted? (The same thing happened with me on the accelerated-music video.)
Because it has notes with different durations. The flight of the beetle is easy because it has chromatics and notes of the same duration. Bach is also easy to recognize because it has notes of the same duration. If this video is good I will make more difficult tests.
It's true. I don't want to say that these were easy because I also play the so it's much more easier for me but I suppose that most of your followers play some musical instrument, don't they?
I guessed happy birthday, though tentatively Flight of the Bumblebee was instant Didn't guess Jingle Bells until it was played I have no idea what number 4 is even when it's playing forwards.
This technique of reversing music is not new, Bach already did it in Musical Offering but Bach instead of merely reversing a melody, he used the reversed melody to accompany the original melody which is very amazing feat itself!
I recognized the first one right away because I taught myself to sing it backwards, recorded it and played the recording “forwards” like in Twin Peaks. I was bored that afternoon and playing with my phone’s audio recorder. It took me like half an hour and twenty attempts because I didn’t write down the lyrics, so I had to visualize them written backwards. It became a neat trick at birthday parties.
I didn't recognize the last one in reverse or original, but seeing Vinheteiro say to subscribe to this channel now scared me into subscribing. I've never seen him say a word until now.
