Bit more of a chatty kind of vid but I've been seeing so many talks on skipping the 9th Anniversary of Dokkan altogether that I figured before the anniversary does start, we should talk about the merits of such an idea along with just talking about the anniversary itself not in terms of the data and what all the units can do for you but rather in the sense of the fun and joy to be had with the celebration itself.
Hopefully it's a bit of a fresh breath of air from all the 9th anniversary talk about super heroes and all the kit breakdowns but otherwise hope y'all have a great one! Much love!

Dont skip the anniversary. You will get enough stones and these banners are extremely high value. Skip the carnival banners maybe and go for the DFEs

Personally I’m at about 4k stones right now so ideally I’ll go about 2k deep at most, start saving for WWC, and then after WWC save everything for 10th Anni

Love that idea! Especially cause you guys get the discounted multis to start (Not jealous at all 😢). Any special order you going for with the units or you just trying to lock down Super Heroes and move on from there?

I'm probably going to ignore gammas unless I get giga lucky, my plan is to come out with 1 copy of each, to the point that if I get a gogeta on a discounted I probably won't finish the discounted multis + freebie I'd love to 3 dupe beast and chase some dupes of MUI and SSBE on his banner, but that'll be where my 77 tickets go most likely Gammas, can't be assed tbh, if I clean house I may throw SOME stones there, but probably will just ignore them. We also have to think about TEQ UI sign and Cell Max too, so that's part of budgeting...

@@Toches Yeah that’s very true plus WWC is coming soon so that’ll be another big thing on its own. Gammas far as I’m concerned are the second most valuable of the 4 new units in 9th anni but easily as long as you got beast you don’t even need Gogeta and gammas to handle business

You do good work man, hope you get many more subs. For myself, I guess I'm a little unsure about the whole thing. At first I wanted to go nuts on both Broly and Beast, but now I'm wondering if I should just focus on a copy each. I'm at 2.4k, which honestly isn't much. As a F2P, knowing that WWDC is coming, as well as MUI in tanabata (with Beast on that banner I'm sure), it's given me pause. I don't have many ways to farm dragon stones these days, so I need to figure it out. I suppose there would be more of a focus on Beast, because his banner is just nuts. That said, I still want Broly haha.

Aye man thank you so much I still got a lot to learn far as quality and consistency etc etc, but I'm hoping the growth will be relatively quick regardless. Also I completely understand your position, I went after all the banners myself only for beast to be my one drop. I'd definitely say 55% > 100% far as pulling one copy of each over dupes of broly and beast but good thing is like you said tanabata would bring beast and broly back on that MASSIVE banner pool so you can use red coins worst comes worst to get broly or beast copies. Far as WWC I will talk about it as we get closer but I'm of the opinion we will see another new mechanic by then or at least a major update and as a whole it will be better than 8th year WWC (Maybe a low bar lol). Definitely if nothing else I'd say give the discounts and the ticket summon a go and from there if you feel it's wiser to save then that's totally fine and you can use WWC and Tanabata or 10th anni to your advantage in the future. I know countdowns already underway so best of luck!

I have 5k stones f2p so I'm probably gonna go for 3 dupes on beast and that's it, I looked at prior year tanabatta banners and since broly is gonna be returning I can summon on that. Reason im going for 3 copies is that I can sufficiently get the featured units like 7th annis and ToP EZAs plus some of the time-limited SBS missions

Sounds like a plan! Hope it works out for you (and that it won't take a bunch of stones to make it happen). I was about to say for a sec speaking as a f2p myself beast only needs 55% and he's still #1 but yeah since you're going for the others as well that's a great approach!

I'm skipping gammas and broly. Will put 3 cycles into gogeta (765 stones) which gives me 74% chance to get him on the new banner format. The rest of my 1750 stones + 1500 from anni itself + tickets is going into beast. But I might not pull all that much since all I need is beast + 1 dupe and ssbe + 1 dupe. Mui I already got covered. A dupe for 8th anni units would also be nice. Apart from that, cell max I will definately pull for no matter what since he opens up extreme teams. Teq ui will depend on how close they release tanabata units to 10th anni. I'm more inclined to wait since I will have a proper super heroes team at that point. But maybe they will release them all on one high value banner which will be hard to resist.

I respect it! I hope gogeta decides to drop for you a lot more than me cause I dropped I think around 1k stones and got completely shafted. But the new banner step up format should help you out! I also agree with your logic but just to add to your tanabata point, right now global's timeline of banners and whatnot usually has Tanabata's banners during Christmas (Makes sense since it's basically 6 months after your anniversary), however since our schedule sync would likely mean you join us on JP for 10th Anni during Mid January I imagine tanabata's initial banner won't exist and instead you will have Teq UI interlaced into some other DFE banner where we will not on JP's side of the game. Will be interesting to see, but in any case good luck to you and hope the summons are good enough where you can save more stones than you initially planned for!

Me personally, I'm sitting on 8.5k and I plan to go until I pull 1 copy of each anni unit. Then I'll see what WWC is looking like and decide from there.

Idk lol I wouldn’t be surprised if a handful of players think they’re outsmarting the system by waiting for them to return in about 6 months. Though me personally, even without gammas and gogeta the team is able to carry me through any fight so idk why one wouldn’t try to get them right now

Hey I'm a new f2p player that just started playing the game(about a day or so ago ) and can you give your suggestions on what units I must prioritize summoning for on this upcoming 9th anni

In general as a new player you'll benefit heavily from all the banners so I'd say if you can manage it go for all the discounted multi summons. But far as units to prioritize I would say it's easily beast gohan and his banner which would include the 6th anni MUI and SSBE those 3 units are very powerful and given they all fit the super heroes team if you can manage to start getting that up and running you can clear so much content

Yeah they'd return in future celebrations. The side banner units like golden frieza and krillin and 18 become unfeatured SSRs you can randomly pull in any banner really. Gogeta and the Gammas would return as part of future carnival unit banners and Broly and Beast would be part of future DFE banners themselves. Right now after the 9th anniversary is done the anni units like beast and broly wouldn't return except during the tanabata celebration banners and during the 10th year anniversary. Hope that helps!

Brand new account with 1.5k DS. Should I skip and do nothing until the next celebration or shall I summon and start my account? If I do start , what's the summon plan?

Since it’s a new account right away I’d say no carnival banner LRs cause their banners aren’t the best overall for a new start. Plus between the actual banners and the stone count you got I’d say the beast gohan banner is the best value. I wouldn’t say you should skip but definitely avoid spending all your stones. Maybe do 2 rotations on that banner with the free multis and see what you get and also use your free 77 ticket summon and with that hopefully you should get quite a few good units which you can use for a lot of situations. def summon on it. At least 1 rotation in each banner. You're a new account so most characters you get will be a great addition to your teams. Saving it all to get beast gohan will mean nothing if you dont have a team to build around him
