This whole journey up to now has been one of the most important and wonderful times in my life, but this was so much more than that. This has been everything to me. So thank you for supporting me until now. I hope you enjoyed the video.
I fell into your channel from your locked playthroughs, the ironman challenges -- all of this has been to say -- YOU are AMAZING. DO NOT stop! DO NOT EVER Stop! YOU ARE INCREDIBLE RATH! YOU INSPIRE!
You know, despite everything... I'm so glad that Bill has remained our stalwart friend. No matter how things are solved, or how things go, Bill will be there for us.
The seas part for Solo Only!! What an adventure! Was on the edge of my seat even knowing what was to come. Your storytelling just gets better and better, and my heart was rejoicing with your victory. So glad to be part of the dog wall, greeting our funny green haired champion! Revel and relax today
I suppose SE never expected we'd used Silver Chocobo Feathers like this, but that does help a lot with the undergeared penalty. The blue level 90 weapon is a huge boost of damage.
Insane that this fight seems designed for this - you were grinded to the very edge of possibility, and that was exactly enough to triumph. Well played!
This series is the pure embodiment of the human spirit, and you can really hear it in your voice as you talk about everything it took and every word after you won. It was all worth it to hear that pop-off after winning and the emotion that followed, just absolutely incredible stuff.
I am SO proud of you Rath, I asked this question a while ago, and i'm glad to see your answer. "Nah, I'd win." - Rath Games And once again, I'll say it, Until the end.
REJOICE! The seas part for Solo Only. That is insane dedication that I don't think many can achieve. Congrats for completing it and never giving up on the solo journey, looking forward to how the rest of stormblood will turn out
despite growing apart from ffxiv, your series has truly helped me learn to love the game again, doing random stuff from gposing to frontline just feels better after getting to experience your journey. its all so fuckin cool and i hope one day you can stop even the final days with your own solo only hands!
This fight, all the prep that went into it, the grind, the mastery of the class's mechanics everything is leaving me near speechless! This level of skill and fortitude can only be described as art and this video as a magnum opus. Congratulations Rath on achieving the impossible! A storm of blood approaches, hell's opened heavens weeped, but no goodly soul need ever fear the limits of your reach.
This entire series is what got me into FF14. Seeing you start out as a simple little Solo all the way to conquering Susano, experiencing all of this as I myself set out on my own personal journey through this game... it's been an emotional ride to say the least. Thank you for providing us with countless hours of entertainment and thank you personally for making me fall in love with this game. Here's to future Solo adventures!
I have no idea whats happening in FF14 as I dont play it or plan too but getting recommended your channel about 2 weeks has been incredible to witness portions of this journey. Be proud of what you've done and a genuine congratulations for surpassing what was believed to be impossible. It's been a wild ride, and I expect it to only get crazier.
2 years ago, Solo Only was but a tiny little man at level 1. Now he is a brave, big man that has conquered a boss that is only soloable in a singular very specific manner. Great job, Rath. Looking forward to seeing how you handle fights like Warrior of Light where it has a mandatory lb3. o7
I have watched this journey since ARR, been in chat as much as my limited free time allows for, and I had the great privilege of watching that clear live, I ranted for days to my FC about it, and hopefully pestered a few of them into watching this series. Watching your content has reignited my love for this game, and given me the inspiration to start up my own static team, we are having lots of of fun dying to M2S week after week, and it's because of you and this channel, thank you Rath, and I cannot wait to see those Endwalker Credits one day!
never have i ever been happier that youtube randomly recommended me a video to tune into. every impossible hurdle jumped over made my jaw drop, and this continues on the same. susanoo is done. now its time to liberate a nation or two
MA! Solo Only did only what we thought was impossible! Also i was deep into an group rp session while watching you get the clear, i announced it live to everyonre in the dravanian hinterlands and got many shouts and yells from anyone in the zone. Great many cheers from the Zalera world Solo. Congrats Rath, you've earned this victory fair and square
I teared up again when you beat him watching this video 😭 it hit just as hard as it did live. Looking forward to wherever else you take us next, Mr gamer :)
A video like this reminds me of a rather cheesy, yet somehow perfectly fitting, line from one of the Danganronpa games. "The Impossible is Possible. All you Gotta do is Make it so.", and I can't think of any more perfect encapsulation of that quote than this video right here. The Impossible Solo Boss, Defeated Solo anyways because screw the rules, Solo Walks his own path and nobody else's! By the power of pure, raw, determination, Solo walks on ever forward, towards his next destination. For the Impossible _is_ possible, and Solo aims to prove it.
This shit is genuinely inspirational. Like sure I did my own silly version of this challenge but even on a more fundamental level, it's just like... If you can do this, the thing that everyone, including myself, thought would be impossible (though I still hoped to be wrong), I can power through my own difficulties. And it's not even just that you succeeded. If you'd failed here, no one would really blame you, if the conclusion came that it was impossible, well, some things just are. And that's okay. But you gave it everything and proved it wasn't. IDK my thoughts are a jumbled mess here so tldr this shit is amazing and it helps motivate me to power through my mental illness.
8:22 btw, The idea behind war crimes isn't "these only apply during war" but rather, "these things are still crimes even when at war," since there are some things (e.g. the act of killing people) that would normally be a crime in most/all places, but are sort of just the basis of how war works. So, at least on paper, something can still be a war crime even if it occurs outside the context of a war.
I jumped out of my seat when I saw you beat Susano live, was the hypest thing I’ve seen in awhile. Congrats dude you worked your ass off for this! It’s gonna be so hype once Solo reaches Shadowbringers. I don’t think there’s really anything left in Stormblood or post-Stormblood that can easily stop you now that you’re past Susano that I can remember
oh....my....god..... YOU ACTUALLY DID IT!! **YOU BEAT, THE IMPOSSIBLE!!** and as my favorite class too! YOU ARE THE LEGEND AMONG LEGENDS, THE TRUE WARRIOR....*OF....*.....**LIGHT!!!!!!**
On trails painted by dawn do seas part and gods fall, Rejoice and revel, for the one who stood tall. The editing and music choice of the final attempt was sublime, well done on beating Susano!
A year and a half ago, I wasn't entirely sure how far you could push this challenge. Knowing what I (thought) I knew, I didn't even think Solo could make it out of ARR, though I was happy enough to let the revel begin. By the end of ARR, you decided to rise, rise to the occasion! You've persisted in pushing this game to its absolute breaking point time and time again. No matter how many hours of Palace or desynths required to craft an accessory, you've pushed through every challenge. Resilient soul, I salute you!
It's straight up evil how the quest that unlocks Heaven on high is the next one after defeating susano. if i'm not mistaken I reckon it would be much faster leveling from there. At least you got this for future runs. Great video as always Rath.
Ah, Heaven on High. The thing that got my WAR to 80 before I finished out Shadowbringers patches with it. From there it usurped Gunbreaker as my main tank.
I'm so glad I managed to make it to that stream, and even the group in Ul'Dah! This was amazing, both being part of the stream and watching the video, and I look forward to your journey onwards.
I am speechless. What the hell… here I thought it would be over but I have been proven wrong and now i can’t help but really stick around. You have proven to be the REAL Warrior of Light
This was epic, and the drag that it was palace, but then again, it can be said that you keep tempting fate by saying you were done with it, and this was the ultimate come back of it.
You did amazing and did something so many thought to be impossible. You are definitely one of my favorite ff14 creators and I can't wait to see what you come out with next whether it is more solo only or any other project.
Congrats again Rather!!!🎉🎊 I’m so proud of you for this huge achievement!! We love you so much more than you’ll ever know! Thank you for creating these awesome vids man
I wish I was there to see it live, but... in the end. After many months, many moons of suffering and Susanoo cutscenes. The Seas Part for Solo Only. The Indomitable Human Spirit Carries On.
I remember being there for the stream. You did absolutely amazing, you 100% deserve this my dude. You got this and I can't wait to see what you accomplish next.
Pretty cool! I remember seeing the article some game journo wrote about ya doing this. I still say Crystal Tower raids were a bigger hurdle, because you had to invoke the multiple ironman rules, but I'm sure the grind you did here felt way more insane. On another note, towards the start, you mentioned having to solo Rathalos. As I was the first person to solo the extreme version of that, I can safely say it doesn't require as much thought as the trickery with Susano's phase lock-in, so you should be fine!
@@rathgames Yeah, not sure how the stat squish affected it, but I originally did it on Samurai in i480 gear back in early 2020 whenever Eden's 2nd raid tier came out. It has some caveats where a faster GCD helps you out in beating it a lot, so maybe you can do that one on Viper :)
I want to tune into the streams... but with them happening sometimes when I am not available to tune it I've decided to just wait til the videos come out, however long it takes... I cried tears of joy when you finally killed him... you parted the seas and did the impossible once more... I would love to see the developers watch your series just to see what players are capable of when they set their minds to something... Congratulation, Rath. I look forward to seeing you on the First.
As someone who joined this community late on I still feel like I'm part of this journey regardless. Through all the trails and toll this has taken its not just one streamer suffering The chat suffers with you milord so with the supportof this community, we will see tou through to endwalker and Solo's last stand
Have been watching the curated videos for quite some time now, but hadn't watched the livestream up until your Susano attempts. Woke up mid-afternoon, decided to open the twitch stream on a whim as you were getting echo stacks. A bunch of close attempts later, as the instance timer was about to run out, you got that one good run, and that's all you needed. I don't think I could have given a bigger applause if I tried. GG and well done. You've earned it. The seas part for you alone.
Having only been present for the final stream of this massive hurdle, getting to see the full journey makes it that much crazier how far you came to get here, and that much more perfect that it was on the literal last pull of the day. The highest high possible for such a momentous occasion. Well done.
Still the best thing for me to encounter this year was your channel, this journey and the editing+commentary is genuinely some of the most entertaining stuff ive watched this year, always eager for another upload. Big congrats.
I've been eagerly waiting for this video's release! I'm so happy you were able to beat Susano! I can't wait to see more videoes of your escapades in stormblood
Congrats big guy you did it! This is by far one of my favorite series to keep up with as it's always great to see the impossible be overcome. Good luck on your next great challenge
It was truly amazing being able to be there live for the win, and it's another thing entirely to see you tell the full story of the journey up to that win. Your story telling abilities are truly, truly execellent. Walk tall, milord. There is no wall in existence that can stop you.
This absolutely almost made me cry IN A GOOD WAY I PROMISE!! When I talk about a real warrior of light, this is exactly who I imagine. Incredible ride, and there's still more to come.
Can’t wait for more. This series helped get me into FF14. And after experiencing this for myself, I had felt it was possible…and I am proud of you. Best of luck to you in the rest of this journey!!! You got this. And no one, nothing, can stop you.😁
Holy.... Man I dont think I have the proper words for how happy I am for you and how PROUD I am that you kept with this! That finish was absolutely fabulous and you deserve all the praise in the world for seeing it through!
It still doesn’t feel real to think about the fact you managed to solo the Pool of Tribute, Rath. I thought for damn certain that’s where this saga would have ended. Words can’t do it justice, you have easily cemented a legacy of doing what many believed impossible with your self imposed challenge. You truly have a greater will than I ever could have, coupled with pure tenacity and grit. It’s been an honor to be a viewer.
REJOICE! and though the immense length and difficulty of this particular segment of your journey wore on your soul, i personally am glad for it to a degree because it's given enough time that i can soon enough start keeping up with solo's playthrough on my own, far less solitary account. i recall the sheer awe i had at doing susano for the first time but this has truly given it context beyond what the developers could ever add on their own. you are an inspiration to all
the sheer emotion and joy that comes from seeing you complete these challenges, one after another, has always been infectious. but this painstaking journey to fell the lord of the revel has taken it to the next level, and it was all i could do not to stand up and clap! honestly, props to you man. your dedication to doing this, for yourself and the community, is something truly special. you prove time and again there's nothing solo can't overcome, and rest assured we'll all be happily watching, on the edge of our seats, cheering you on until the end!!
You just know there was some random sprout wonder who this solo is and why they were parting the sea lol Congrats Rath! This has been a hell of a ride to be following ever since titan!
I just start to watch this video now when I began writing this comment. But I when to say thank for all of you afford you put into this before I finish it. Thank for a video.I certainly sure I will enjoy your suffering.
I'm still working through the expansions so I try to avoid a lot of FFXIV content, in order to avoid spoilers, but your solo run is safe for me to watch since I'm ahead of you. It's fascinating to see the extremes you can take the game to. It's a whole other level to see you challenge yourself, the game and the limits of what is possible. And with this boss you shattered one of those limits. Many congratulations and thank you for sharing this journey with us!
Imagine someone sitting far, far away in a public bus in Germany being moved to tears while watching this video on her smartphone. Because this is me right now! You poured so much work and passion into this, you deserve all the love for this win! ❤ (And good Sir, in the beginning you sound like you recorded your voice over while having a cold! I hope you are well! 😅)
Great to see the vid finally! I remember listening live (couldn't properly watch since i was at work) and getting misty-eyed at your reaction. GGs m'lord, may nothing stand in your way now
Rejoice!!! I can't believe Susano has been conquered solo!! I missed the dog wall, but seeing it in video form is still incredible. We're so proud of you and I can't wait to see you take on the rest of stormblood and beyond!!!
What a mad man! Holy! Congratulations! Probably one of the few 1hr+ youtube video I have watched. I have seen your feat on twitter awhile back and was amazed by your success only to find out now that the road it took was actually way WAY harder than I initially thought. You made me cry brother! Oh man! From here on out, I'll be keeping a close eye on your next adventure wherever and however long it will take. Again, congratulations and kudos!
This was incredible to watch! I remember when watching the first video and myself thinking surely it can't be done. I find myself corrected and my god your a god in the solo only community I'm sure. Relax and recuperate your energy - you have done the impossible
