But I tried solving for x and y and got that x=3+2^0.5 y=3-2^0.5, and then got the result x^7+y^7≈32681.9999999999927 Edit: i just did the calculations by hand and found out what happened. It seems that during the calculations, the square roots all get even powers and thus cancel out, and that's why the result is an integer. So this must be an error from the calculator
