You have several ways to time lapse with the Sony FX3. It is perfect for landscape time lapse. I prefer to us the built it intervalometer. But in a pinch S&Q does work. Just remember to lock in your white balance.

So the fx3 does have the Interval shooting mode? Asking because I'm about to buy fx30

It does have a interval photo mode and s&q makes for good time lapses in the high bit rate setting

Yes I know the SnQ mode. But I do zoom in most of the time in post

I’d recommend you get an A73 or A74

FX3 doesn’t have an intervalometer, only S&Q mode.

I used photo mode and then in the menu look for “interval shooting” and enable it.
