Find out if you can use a hair dryer to shrink tubing on electrical wire (and if is it safe) in NI at Home. Brett is taking NI products home to learn more about every day, at-home appliances and help you understand the power of testing. See how Brett tested this in part two of this demonstration.

Trying to see if I can use this to repair broken eyeglasses plastic frame leg. Wonder if it's stiff enough to hold it in place.

Do you think you can also use a hairdryer like this with heatshrink self-solder seal wires =?

I would suggest a lighter or a butane torch flame (also available as lighters) just don't burn the shrink wrap and keep the flame moving.
