@@dietershobbypakanal but it wasn't the problem. the car was running fine on it, now if you ran it long term then yes there would be some pretty nasty wear on everything, but the reason the car died was because they were on the red line for so long. even if you're using the best oil money can buy, you're engine will blow if you're cruising down the street on the rev limiter and or jamming the gas peddle to the floor with a metal pipe.
@@ElectronicsForFun normal that the term goes in red..this wd 40 isnt a oil.. but a oil in one hand and in the other wd40 and then rubbing the fingers and you will se the wd40 will be warm the good oil hand not... the same in the engine wd40 makes more temp in the engine and the cooler dont bring the heat down... the 2. Is what you saying if a long time with full power in the 1. Gear or the reargear drive the cooler have a problem too to bring the hear away... if you make the 2. Test with a drill and a melal make a hole with nothing note the time than same with wd 40 cooling a hole.. and the a good engine oil.. everytime note the time and you will see the oil needs the longest time... so you see that more than one point.. 😊
Judging by what the engine survived in these tests, the engine would probably survive *normal* conditions just fine for a while with WD-40 instead of oil. I'm actually surprised.
It would probably died because the engine was worn out. A fireball. No. That was all w d 40 high flash point. Driving aggressive made the engine hot enough for the w d40 to ignite.
yes, it would have any smart car person would know that, there is a reason why tachometer gage has a red zone, keeping the engine at MAX RPM for a long time will cause it to blow even with the best of motor oil.
It is a common misnommer that WD-40 is a lubricant, and I think that's where they got this idea. It is not a lubricant. It's a degreaser. It actually dries things out and pretty much does the opposite of lubrication. It's only useful for cleaning out gunk. If you ever use WD-40 on moving parts like bearings, you should let those parts dry out and then lubricate them with fresh lubricant afterwards.
That car did not have a chance. Why does that engine look like it had headers installed? And sounded like silk at first? That car was loved by someone at one time.
Honestly, the fact that it was STILL running even after disintegrating, shows that it WASN'T the WD-40 That killed it. I'd be friggin angry if I witnessed this IRL, honestly. That's a perfectly good car that could have went to someone in desperate need.
The WD-40 isn't what caused the car to die. You burned out the transmission with the burnouts and the stresss of staying in first gear as you slammed the gas, you overheated the exhaust to the point the end of the pipe was glowing red which means you also were overheating the engine considerably as well as causing the fumes to burn. The WD-40 was NOT why that happened. No car ever could hope to survive such abuse.
I didn't say the WD-40 had nothing to do with it. Tbh the reason it burned so much was likely the WD-40. I'm saying the WD-40 wasn't the primary reason the car stopped functioning. Any oil in the engine wouldn't save it with that abuse.
That's what I'm thinking too man, I'd really be interested to see the results if one did the same and drove the car casually. Like would it actually last a full oil change duration? Just in town driving I bet it could go for a month or longer
Na man wd40 has a flash point of 122 degrees Fahrenheit, not saying that your wrong it's just is the WD-40 heated up it started evaporating dropping the oil pressure and changing its viscosity which was more than likely causing a lot of problems
@@protalukoriginal4560 and just like every other channel and everything that exists, it is subject to scrutiny, nit-picking, disagreement, etc, rather you or any channel likes it or not does not matter.
I would rather see a test where you drive it at normal speeds and distances, like someone's commute to and from work and see how long it lasts, that would be a true test.
That car had alot of life left and if iwould have loved to have it as an enthusiast myself but these guys only want views. Its really hurt me seeing that car get destroyed. Its not like it was on its last leg with hundreds of thousands of miles that engine was strong and tbh it would it would be really sweet if it was modded or even boosted but man that hurt me
Made me straight up furious. I say a decent dog is worth worlds more than a lousy human... But I say a decent car is better value than these few... whoever they are.
If it atleast was some rotten common shitbox.. but no they had to take on one of 90s pop up headlight fwd Coupes like Toyota Celica and ruin it, when it could serve as perfect first car for someone to take care of for years to come.....fuck these cunts and their "wrong wheel drive" bullshit.
You guys had a lot of fun in the car before destroying it. It sounded like a really strong engine. You could have continued to have a lot of fun with it.
So many deserving people in this country that can use a good car... then I see these spoiled brats just destroying a nice Ford Probe GT just for kicks!!!!
@mu5tang5 If someone did that to your mustang, would you not feel like someone murdered your friend? Would you only be mad or sad because it means you have to spend money to get a new one?
@@bungcheese5901 first off engine swap or simply change it rear wheel drive seen it done on a Civic before so why not this. Also an LS is like $500 so?
I’d like to know the condition of the cylinder walls and piston head after this test. Specifically I’d like to know how badly the WD40 carbonized the engine. Also I’m impressed that ford took that much abuse before it let go
ElectronicRedPanda so 50gal... 5 quarts for a car and 49 gallons remaining.... lmfao I mean if they get really into tinder for like 2 months they might be able to use it all
Nope not at all. My first car was a 96 Camry that had served my grandma, my mom, then my Tio. Once I got the old gal she was just begging to be junked and she looked the part too. I called it... "The death trap," finally after it almost killed me for the 3rd time I said nope and promised to take great care of any car I drive after that. 😬😅
I don't have much mechanical sympathy for other peoples cars but that ford would have lasted well over 300k miles if it took that abuse with basically no oil in it. Waste of a good car. AND IT WAS MANUAL!!!
Are you kidding me a Ford is like the lowest on the totem pole of car makers the worst vehicle anyone could buy. Now if you did that to a Chevy it would've lasted way longer.
the sad thing is this video will probably make more money than the car was bought for and was worth to them. but to someone else it could have been worth so much more maybe even a life saver.
All those parts under the hood actually look clean and new, not sure why you would do this with a motor like that. Find an old junker that is on its last life
TotalMetalJacket I think they’ve made enough of yt to pay for that car....... I’m mean it’s their money but it does seem pretty fucked that there are tons of homeless and starving people throughout the world right now and these niggas are lighting cars on fire for fun
Of coarse it says engines you use wd 40 as an additive mixed with the existing oil you cannot use just wd 40 for oil you can also use wd 40 in your fuel tank as an additive as well
you only live once did you even read the can? Says “CONTAINS PETROLEUM DISTILLATES. Harmful or fatal if swallowed.” What don’t you go test it and put it on RU-vid
craft 1234 I would hardly say it's "heartbreaking." It's a 25 year old shit box. Even if it was a 240, who gives a shit. That's a 25 y.o. shit box too.
Andrew Delashaw i've seen 25 year old cars in much better condition than a 3 year old. They last longer too. Compare a volvo 240 with an S60 or an 80s nissan hardbody with a new navara. If you think the age of a vehicle defines if it's a shitbox then you're wrong
@Joshua Plantan Yeah... Its just so dumb to destroy a car in good condition. I mean the engine didn't have any damage before they redlined it. Do it with a car you get for like 20 bucks from a junkyard that has a blown head gasket and is not in a good shape... But fixing the taillight and respraying the bumper woulnd't have been expensive or a lot of work and they could have sold it for some money... Such videos are just dumb
even if the engine has to be fixed (And this is not the case) i really don't get the point of making something like this. a perfectly running engine destroyed for no reasons. These guys definetly are not car lovers
i mean that it's fuckin stupid destroying a good running engine , even if you are capable to build spacerockets. Just this point. Free to think whatever you want
David James If they're large enough, they might actually survive losing a gallon of blood. 40% loss is the threshold for any reasonable shot at survival, so if they had at least 10 quarts of blood, they might actually live. As I recall, for someone to have >10 quarts of blood, they'd have to be slightly north of 300 lbs. The suggester might actually survive. I can hear the gene pool crying.
That poor car wanted to live, its a shame it fell into the hands of someone who doesn't appreciate it! :) Wow i did not expect to get this many likes Thanks Guys!!!
My bro had a car like this. Got rid of it in 2013. Control arm was bad...now he drives a yellow 2015 Scion frs...and I drive a gold 95 saturn sl1...will keep it till the engine goes.
Samuel Mompremier he was asking what about it you didn’t like...... I’m shocked people came to this video expecting anything other than some kids beating the hell out of a Probe with wd40 in it
