I love all your training videos!! Unfortunately my cat always insists on putting his face into the cups for the treats... do you have any tips for how to get him to use his paw instead? 🤞🏻Thanks!

in one of her videos she said to get a cup thats too small for their head so they have to use their paw

@@XMiso2 you are paying attention in class :)

Make sure the cup is small enough that your cat needs to use their paw to get the treat out. Try resting the small cup on its side and put the treats along the edge and on the inside.

I have the same issue because my cat is used to having a treat ball that she pushes around with her nose that's her go to method of solving anything 🤣

I've checked many channels about cat training on RU-vid but yours is absolutely the best. Can I ask you what treats do you use? I've just started training my cat but most treats seem so unhealthy

The girls pass grade 1! Praline doesn’t know sit but that’s because she is too motivated, so we did directly sit pretty instead ^^

I love your videos and will be subscribing to The Cat School. Question - do you ever make videos sitting in a chair or couch? Some people can’t sit on the floor or low stool due to knee or other issues {raises hand}. When at the monkey-see-monkey-do level of learning, it can be useful for students to copy teachers’ positions, whether a cat teacher or for anything else. If not, we’ll work it out. Thanks! Also, any affiliate links to pouches you like?

I train in small spaces so I don't have a lot of options to set up the camera. However, having the cat on a table while you sit on a chair works well.
@bethjeans3780
@bethjeans3780 2 года назад
@@CatSchool I don’t think we want to encourage getting on tables since they don’t jump up on them (just their nature or what they learned before we adopted them) and think they might be uncomfortable. I’ll just bend over from a kitchen chair, unless that’s not a good idea. Thanks!

My cats use their paw to gently take the treat out of the cup. I suppose this works as well.
