We moved from ON to SK in 2018, paid our house off in 5 years, we both make more $$, have more free time, we actually spend time with neighbors and fish, hike, sightsee, lots of amazing people, we love the winters, no slush, amazing blue skies and awesome fishing. We couldnt imaging doing any if this in ON as we would be working 7 days a week, now we work 4 and watch our savings grow. So many jobs here....

I am 60 and I have lived in Winnipeg my whole life. When I was growing up here in the 1970s, it was one of the ten best cities in the world, no argument (provided you could handle the cold.) Now often it makes me cry, it has gone so downhill. And it's not like it's a poor city either, it is richer than ever. But the disparity here is absolutely atrocious and it is not a truly safe city anymore or good for your mental health. I am learning Spanish gradually and dreaming of living in Latin America. I would leave for there tomorrow, if I could.

It's all true! Saskatchewan is sooo much cheaper. I grew up in Saskatchewan and have been living in Toronto for 9 years. If I had a young family and wanted to stay in Canada, I would move back there. Regina & Saskatoon have everything you need to live a good life. Perfect for families. Yes, the winters are colder (a dry cold is not as bad as a wet Ontario cold) but with the $$$ you save, you can afford a tropical 3-week winter vacation in February for the family every year and still have lots of savings left over! Toronto & Vancouver is god fr single people who don't mind squeezing into a tiny condo to live in world-class city.
