Canada has so far been the CONCACAF team thats adapted to South American football the best. They are embracing the chaos, with the difference being they are able to stay composed and keep the discipline in the process. Its a fine line to play a physical and chaotic game and not getting any players sent off. Laryea against Chile was the epitome of this. Chile had no idea how to deal with him, both from a shithousery and footballing approach
Yes, Bombito should have been sent off with a red card, but the obvious headbutt against Johnston in the Peru game was also ignored, so the reffing has been terrible for Canada, too. It's funny how the pundits are saying Canada is adapting to the CONMEBOL style of play, but the fans on Reddit are talking about how they "CONCACAFed" their way through the group by making it messy and chaotic.
Canada made the last 8 while scoring only 1 goal in 3 games - but that's what happens when 2 out of the 4 teams in your group score a COMBINED: ZERO goals.
Canada need to be less naive and play with more intensity. In South America the teams play for national pride, players give more for their national team that for any of their clubs, even when they play in the highest stage internationally (champions, etc).
For Chile And Peru, I hope that this Copa will make these 2 teams realize it's time for a youth movement, put in the most promising youngsters little by little, and let them develop into future part of the program for the next years. Meanwhile for Argentina, Lautaro with a statement tournament.
@@MichaelTalksFootball1 Well, regarding to Alexis Sanchez, IMO if this guy still plays at the highest level at this age, just keep call him up, just surround Alexis with young vets and promising prospects. And for Peru, GET RID of what mexicans used to call on Ochoa, Henry Martin etc. VACAS SAGRADAS/SACRED COWS. The players I'll mention, I will call them THE SACRED DINOSAURS cuz Fossati plays Dinosaur football, the SACRED DINOSAURS of Peru namely, Carrillo, Guerrero, Even Christian Cueva must not be called up, Profe Fossati, Confía en tu juventud, empieza a incorporar a los jóvenes jugadores prometedores. Kenji Cabrera, Paolo Reyna, Cavero y muchos jugadores jóvenes más. Por favor. PLEASE BRING THE YOUNG PROSPECTS.
I really wanted England to lose , I know all RU-vidrs support , Senegal from Africa , Japan from Asia , England and France from Europe , Colombia from South America :) So far Senegal and Japan were out
Dont put scores on your icon. There people who still want to watch their recorded game and try to avoid seeing scores. Its only been yesterday. Don’t get mixed with sites that does that because I lot of viewers will remove those from their feed.
Very true. But, I should not that in Qatar 2022 qualifying, Canada was the 2nd or 3rd to the top in goals scored. So my opinion is that Canada will score goals once their new system is better organized.
Canada sucks. They don't have a single idea about playing futbol. Physicality is not futbol, roughness is not futbol. The only player that plays futbol in that side is Jacob Shaffelburg. David is so overestimated, Alphonso Davies is just a ghost and the rest (except Crepeau) a bunch of clueless players, some even ill intended.
I don’t think you’re correct, they are quite a clean team compared to the other South American sides. But what they lack is decisiveness in the final third, they bring the ball into the final third quickly but then slow down, cuz no one is willing to play a quick combination or dribble in close spaces.
