These two pairs of Canada Geese were having a little dispute. I shot this along the American River near Effie Yeaw Nature Center in Sacramento. Tree Swallow, Red-Shouldered Hawk, Mallard Ducks, Canada Geese and House Wren.

Nice footage John. This seemed to be a mostly verbal dispute. Most of the time they are all honk and no bite, but I have seen these guys in some pretty heavy physical fights when their nesting territory is challenged. Wondering if the hawk had an eye injury or if it just had one eye closed?

Thanks! Not long after I shot this the two males got into it, but it didn't last long. Not sure about that hawks one eye. I was wondering the same thing.
