Both Germany and Canada are advanced nations with a stable economy, high standards of living, and excellent infrastructure facilities. Great video! Just a small adjustment and my personal comments are: It takes only 3 years in Canada not 5 to get citizenship after PR! So it is record short for sure. Toronto weather can be almost the same (and as warm as) as Berlin or Munich while Vancouver can be compared to Frankfurt or London. It is true that public transportation is better overall in Europe than in Canada or US. But the gasoline here in Canada is 6 times cheaper than in Germany. As for real estate, it is indeed cheap in smaller or medium cities in Canada (prices for a house starts from only $ 80,000 and over, but in big cities housing is expensive. Also the house utilities (gas, electricity and water) are 10 times cheaper in Canada than Germany, the drinking water in Canada is superb quality and free for everyone so you can use it as much as you want without paying a penny. Grocery products can be found in cheap stores as well which will be at the same level as in Germany or even cheaper. As for geographic location, I would say we have the US as our neighbor which is the biggest economy in the world and bigger than whole European Union's economy and is still much richer than whole Europe combined in investments and capital. The video did not mention that we also have Mexico, Caribbean and Latin America right next door as well (which are basically our "Greece" or "Turkey" with very cheap services and tropical climate where we can get within 2 hours). London is only 5 hours away from Toronto, while New York (the richest city on the planet) is only an hour flight from Toronto. When it comes to history, I'd argue and say many scientific inventions were made in Canada (including aspirin, basketball, hockey, IMAX, etc.) and many famous celebrities such as James Cameron (who created the films Titanic, Avatar, Terminator, etc.), Celine Dion, Ryan Gosling, Justin Bieber, etc. come from Canada. There was also Native American culture and history before Europeans arrived here. So yeah, we are a young nation with rich history and pride! Having said that let me emphasize, Germany is a great country as well! Cheers from Canada.

About the taxes: If you compare Canada and Germany keep in mind that Canada has federal and provincial income taxes. Thus if you compare the tax rates of popular Canadian provinces like Ontario, British Columbia and Alberta to German tax rates it's the same or even higher in B.C. You could move to Nunavut and save taxes, but yeah...

I lost my resident permit in Germany just because I dont speak German, while my employer told the authority that English is the business language in the company. the authority insisted that i must have at least B1 to integrate. many times i heard from workers in supermarket and post office (go back to your country). Racism in Germany is like no anywhere else on earth.

Yes racism is unfortunately again a big problem here in Germany and yes we here in Germany want ppl wich speak german since not all parts of Germany speak English, in the former GDR you will meet alot of ppl wich spoke/speake Russian or French meanwhile you meet in the West ppl wich speak only German or also English and French. So the best way to get accepted in Germany is to speak B1 German and be interessted in learning more German in future. The new rising racism in Germany is caused by some political changes in the newer past, short we have alot of ppl but not enaught workplaces for them, many workplaces are empty since native germans dont want to work at these empty workplaces cause of (for german living standards) bad payment and bad work conditions (Altenpflege/elderly care, Polizei/Police, Bundeswehr/Military).

Obviously you don´t know the definition of racism. Going to another country without the intention to learn at least the basics of the official language is just disrespectful. And as much as I judge workers for saying the things like you mentioned, it's not even necessary to speak German to interact in German with the cashier. You simply can learn the phrase Ich zahle bar/mit Karte. Hallo. Tschüss. Simple as that. If this is too much for you, you are better off staying in your home country.

Canada has a culture, especially in Quebec, the French side, It is super culturally developed in Montreal. And we speak French and English. Education in Canada is cheap compared to the US! Super cheap in fact! And the flat cost depends on the province you live and city. In Montreal, expect tp pay around 2000$ every month for a flat. But there is no down payment like in Germany. Health insurance is free of you live in Canada. but you need to be considered as a resident. On the whole, you are quit right.

Sounds like Germany is a little ahead of Canada. But I think both countries have a lot to offer for immigrants....and you should definitely consider the last point you made: Canadians are very polite and friendly, whereas German can seem a little cold and direct. But I think once you get used to that, you can see through this surface and eventually will make friends and understand the culture. Both countries are awesome.

I would not say Germans are cold and direct all the time, having lived in Deutschland for about 1.5 years now, I can definitely tell in any German circle you would require a little time to settle in. They make friends late but keep them for life. Also, Germans hate small talk. Factual details must be incorporated while making a conversation, because we love talking in depth on numbers and quantities. I would say what I love the most about Germany is their efficiency, never a god damn minute late, like ever!

You do work over hours in Germany and when you life more in smaller villageges you also need a car because there is also nor public transportation or its very bad. But I guess it's the same everywhere, when you are in the cities you don't need a car otherwise you mostly do. For vacation ist depends on Age, and how long you are on the company and if it calculated in "werktage" or "arbeitstage" so it can be between 4-6 weeks:). Also school yes it is almost for free here but of course you can't expect "the best" education than for something you almost don't pay anything for:) . This just as few comments/corrections, but your vide is great:)

@@TheAcepilot123 I live here 25 yrs. now. Germany is expensive af. We have the highest electricity costs in the world and the highest taxes. If you google about the taxes, you will see that Sweden and other country's are higher as Germany, but Germany calculate the taxes different. So if you work for lets say 2000 euro salary per month, you will receive just 1400 Euro. But for me it's not the biggest problem. My problem is the German culture. Germans are strange imo. I don't feel comfortable here. It's very important that you can speak the language, otherwise it's difficult to get a job. But I don't think that you will have any problems if you are black, Asian or something else (but it depends on where in Germany you live). I was in the USA in vacation 2018 and was shocked at what a big problem Americans have with skin color. I saw a kid approximately 14 yrs old on a bicycle was arrested from cops in LA just for doing nothing. You will never see something like this in whole Europe. The only good thing in Germany is, if you like to travel you can visit every European country in just 2 hrs with the plane. Germany has many logistics company's. If you have any experience in logistics, it's quite easy to get a job. Sorry for my strange English. I'm not a native English speaker.
