@@christiangrendel9893 - Give it a try. What do you have to lose. There are lots of rocks and boats in Nova Scotia so maybe you would find one that rocks you. :-) Canada is a great country - lots to do, see, open space, great people. What was it Bono said - "The World needs more Canada". I believe Barack Obama said the same.
Hi@@christiangrendel9893 - I have been to many parts of Canada. All really great. For such a small Province, Nova Scotia is very diverse in its landscape. Beautiful coastlines from dramatic rocky bluffs to white sand beaches that stretch on for miles, lush green farmlands producing lots of table crops, orchards, and also grapes and hops which produces good wines and great beers. Further east are the highlands which look a lot like Scotland and guess who settled there - the Scots. They even distill whiskey there. Lots of other craft distilleries scattered throughout the Province. Great places to hike, canoe/kayak, sail, etc. If you make it there you will have to try out rafting on the tidal bore. Halifax, the capital city, is very ethnically diverse, has a great food & music scene and has a perpetually young vibe due to all the university students attracted to the many universities that call Halifax home.
Sending my thoughts, heart, prayers, and condolences to the people of Nova Scotia. May god bless, guide, heal, and comfort the 22 families that lost loved one, the survivors, the first responders, and the people of Nova Scotia and the people of Canada 🙏🏻🌹🕊🍁🇨🇦
Nonsense! She was probably kissed on its rear side. That is more realistic! If you sit on its side all life then all you see is the dull landscape from your window. Then of course you don't wanna think that you live in the boonies, rather in the tropical paradise.
I'm from south east Tennessee. and I've always wanted to see Canada Nova Scotia in particular beautiful country it looks like.. ive felt like I was a Canadian in a past life..im 32 Years old now and I find myself intrigued by the old TV commercials I see on RU-vid and donair shops Tim Hortons the type of lingo that folks speak up there anyway love the video and hope to visit some friendly people up there someday
haha that's awesome! Glad you like it so much. You're not far so you should definitely visit soon. Plus, with the dollar exchange, you'll basically get a 30% discount!
Nova Scotia is a Beautiful Province.I have Loved since I was a Child. Nova Scotia is full of wonder adventure discovery and so much more.It is the only Province in Canada I have ever visited and hated to leave when my visit was over. It captures me whole being every time I return. I would Love to live in Nova Scotia Canada. In time I hope to make that dream a reality.
The people of Nova Scotia are exceptionally nice too. And their wineries! Blomidon is my favourite. They shipped me two cases to Ontario last month. Yum!
@@MustDoCanada yes it is excellent. Before my first visit to Nova Scotia, I had no idea there were wineries there. My daughter took me to Blomidon in September 2019 and it was heavenly. I want to get back when the virus situation is all resolved. In the meantime, I have my own personal stash!
my wife and i went to nova scotia this year for a holiday and to visit an old friend . first thing we did when we got home , put the house up for sale . what an awesome place and wonderful people .
@@MustDoCanada we're from the highlands of Scotland originally but have lived in Saskatchewan for the last ten years . just need to sell the house then head east , we can't wait !!!
Nova Scotia is a beautiful province with beautiful people. I've been there a few times mostly on business, but a couple times for leisure. Definitely look forward to going again. Never a bad experience there!
As Indian living in Alberta I can say Nova Scotia and their people are the best I’ve been to most cities in ontario, Montreal and rivière de loup in Quebec, Halifax Dartmouth lunenberg in Nova Scotia. But Nova Scotia blew me away. The people super friendly, they never made me feel as outsider. The only reason I had to leave Nova Scotia is expenses. I miss NS
Interesting. Yeah, we've always felt Newfoundland has the friendliest people, but really, Nova Scotia is up there too. For expenses, Nova Scotia is usually cheaper than Alberta, no?
@@MustDoCanada definitely not Usually there are more apartments in Halifax than houses, the rents of apartments are really high Minimum wage is 13.95, i think now or by next year its gonna be 15, there is less work compared to population. I was only making 1600-2000 max a month, so i had to leave at the end (which I didn’t want to)
@@bauabh its good If you were to rank people friendliness by provinces personally i think from best to not so best 1. Nova Scotia 2. Alberta 3. Quebec 4. ontario
Nova Scotia is beautiful. I have been there. I have a friend that was born & raised there. She comes from a long line of Acadians. 👍👏😊 Thank you for sharing this video with us. 👍🇨🇦😊
I am from Nova Scotia, and would want to live no where else. My wife and I did a brief tour Scotland, where my ancestors are from, in the early 1980's. We took the train from London, stayed in Edinburgh and saw the Tattoo, rented a car and took the ferries from Ulapool to Skye, Harris and lewis, and south Uist. It was August and lovely. But....i like it here.
Halifax is a magic place. I lived in China more than 20 years, witness so many big cities. However, I found Halifax is my ideal place to set down and create my next generation. Its a place god agree with.
Oh wow, did you grow up in China or move there for business? That's a big change! We've been to China as well, but just for a month, and I can't imagine a bigger contrast than Halifax haha.
@@MustDoCanada Ye, I totally understand the big change you mentioned above. For me, living in a big city long time is like staying in prison, although I know most of the people prefer big cities. I looking forward to an ideal place so many years, which has some universities because it will cause a good environment. Moreover, the city mush has the history. Halifax meets all the requirement. On the other side, Halifax is a small city, It again has some disadvantages, but in a whole year, we can go back to Beijing for 2-3 months to balance that. People living in Halifax is friendly and as I can see they have more polite than inland. Britain culture!!!
@@MustDoCanada Enjoy the travel. When I return to China I experienced so-called Reverse culture shock. So I guess I can understand a little what you feeling. You will found there is a difference between the north and south part of China.
@@jackzhou1382 haha yeah, for sure. We didn't have any issues except in Guilin. Many people there tried to rip us off. I guess they are used to the tourists there. But overall, very cool.
A testament to lovely Halifax NS. My ex husband moved me and the kids here due to his job transfer. Best move I ever made! I have made It my new permanent home. I would never live anywhere else.
I spent 8 yrs in Annopolis Valley as a kid. Took my family back last summer and so much enjoyed the people and places we saw. We rented a cottage on the ocean near Lunenberg and will always remember the sunsets and our grandchildren dancing on the deck.
My husband just got back from a short visit to see the town where the "Jesse Stone" movies were made, mainly Lunenberg. He really enjoyed himself and found the people quite warm, the seafood quite amazing, and the area quite beautiful. Finances permitting, it looks like our whole family would love to go there. They should definitely fix the "Cat" though. He said the worst part of the trip was the boat ride as one engine is down and the trip took 7 hours, as opposed to the 5.5 it should take. At any rate, it appears there is plenty to do and see, and I agree that this video makes a convincing argument to go there. My first stop would be the Raft ride, WOW, how cool is that?
haha yes, the rafting is fun and I'd love to go back in August when the water is warming the rapids more intense. Was he visiting from NFLD? Is that the boat ride you're talking about?
I've lived in N.S for 17 years, if you visit, check out Fort York, I think its called "York-redoubt" or something, that's a cool spot to explore. Halifax is a pretty city to walk around at any time, For food, you absolutely must visit Mic Mac Bar and Grill in Dartmouth N.S. It's a family restaurant, great food and service, be warned, its usually busy, for good reason tho. Peggy's Cove is pretty, but its a tourist hot-spot. If you have a vehicle, drive the coastal roads in any direction, they usually go through fishing towns, and are curvy, and scenic for hours.
I love Nova Scotia, I have been visiting during the summers with my family since I was a kid, I remember seeing Foxes and Moose, and trying to catch tiny little blue and purple butterflies at our cottage by the sea! As an Adult ive been back a few times also to visit my friend while she was attending Dalhousie. I may be a wimp being from BC when it comes to the cold, but I would love to live in Nova Scotia, it has a special place in my heart, I hope my life will bring me there someday :) PS I totally went to see the cannon being fired as a kid too!!
Hi Stephanie Anne. Nova Scotia is actually the warmest on average Province in Canada. Nova Scotia is surrounded by the ocean thus moderating the climate somewhat. If you live in BC other than in the Lower Mainland or Vancouver Island you would find Nova Scotia's winters easy. The damp cold in the Lower Mainland can often feel worse than eastern winters. Daytime winter temperatures average around 0C or a little better.
@@EdinburghFive Hey thanks for the info! I do live in the lower mainland, but I had no idea that Nova Scotia was on average the warmest province!!! Thanks for telling me that! 0C is not bad at all :D
Hardly a white person in Halifax.a white person stands out there now..pandhandlers on every street corner .nova Scotia was a nice place to live years ago but its turning into a third world country. It will be in 10 years. .
Must Do Canada currently my wife and I we live in Brazil and we want to try something new so I'll study in Halifax. Actually we are deciding between Halifax and Kitchener (Ontario) near from Toronto, but everybody has something amazing to talk about Halifax, amazing views, the most friendly people from Canada, giant lobster! Haha Now I'm gonna watch your other videos o/
haha Yeah, I've read a few stories of people from Brazil in Halifax or nearby New Brunswick. Was wondering as I live in the West (Alberta), which is normally known for immigration due to the oil jobs. Wondering what the jobs are like in Halifax... But yes, Toronto and Ontario is the massive area so Halifax would have more of a small-town charm. Newfoundland is also incredibly friendly. We love Halifax though and have definately considered moving there....
Must Do Canada Have you really considered moving there? Glad to hear it from you. Nowadays I live in a small City, 70k habitants here so I think I'll feel like home in Halifax. Looking forward to arrive there!
we have yeah. My dad is from Newfoundland so we always considered moving East. It's mainly hard to leave Calgary because we have the Rocky Mountains beside us. Without those, we'd be gone already haha. Yeah, in that case, Halifax will seem better. Toronto alone is like 6 million
I'd love to explore Nova Scotia - I live in Scotland and heard (and now see) that there are a lot of similarities! Only been to BC/Alberta and Ontario before - East Coast is waiting!!!
Very cool! Nova Scotia means New Scotland from what we were told. You'd likely love Newfoundland as well, although the entire East Coast is great. I haven't been to Scotland before but hope to go someday soon! We're from Alberta so we know that province well! That video will be out in October...
Thank u! I'm looking forward to going. Gonna be a long trip, starting at 6am from Prince George, BC, and getting to the airport in NS at 8:20pm same day 😥😥
Next time visit down the south shore of Bridgewater, Liverpool, Shelburne, Yarmouth, keep going down the french shore and try some of the local foods and then on to Digby and try the Scallops. then visit the great Annapolis Valley, and keep going down to Kentville, Wolfville Windsor. and then back to Halifax. You only seen less then quarter of Nova Scotia. you will see what Nova Scotia is all about.
Lovely video, but I was waiting for and surprised you didn't make it up to the Annapolis Valley....Annapolis Royal was the first settled area of Canada and the whole valley is absolutely gorgeous. Maybe you will get a chance to see this area another time!
I practically grew up there visited every summer sometimes for a month so I tell people I'm from there it really is God's country most of my family is there also in Prince Edward Island as well such beautiful provinces
I grew up in Boston but vacationed in Nova Scotia every summer as well. The nicest people I've ever met. A natural beauty that is breathtaking. Moving to Maine so I can be closer.
You guys should have gone to digby during the scallop days!! It’s so fun there You can go to Long Island and see the balancing rock! I’m saying all this cause my moms from there
