@@amandagrant4331It has nothing to do with “diversity”. We have always had immigrants from different countries and it went fine. It’s mismanagement and incompetence. There’s nothing wrong with diversity, a doctor is a doctor and a carpenter is a carpenter.
Forget just youth unemployment what about the high wage earners too? Don't Canadians want to move into better jobs that pays more and puts more food on their family's table, affords them better housing, etc... High Wage and Low Wage are the same thing we do NOT need immigrants to fill jobs Canadians can do or can be trained to do. Employers cannot be allowed to continue suppressing wages and refusing to train Canadians while profiting off us. If they want to hire Indians they can move their business to India and our government should impose tariffs to ensure we protect Canadian companies and businesses that love and respect Canada and Canadians and want to see our country and people improve our standards of living.
No jobs, and 170k postgraduate work permits expiring this year won't head back home either. They would stay and apply for PR on humanitarian or asylum basis. This country is doomed 🥴🥴
They’re going home now, we’re kicking them out, after we allowed this to destroy the country for years while our government stood by and did nothing despite everyone ringing the fire alarm for all that time. I always voted Liberal but definitely not rewarding such blatant incompetence and carnage this election. Furious.
they've changed the PR requirements for students. A lot of them are not able to get citizenship or even a visa. It's a bit on the down low but if you look, the government is finally rolling back on immigration. The damage has been done, but a lot of the international students are moving back.
@@KevalPrajapatiSS I hope students move back. There's a loophole in Canada where they issue visas on humanitarian and asylum claims. These are not properly fact checked and many get PR so even the students take this route. The country has gone to the dogs now.
@@KevalPrajapatiSS they haven't put a cap on the professional program level.(graduate level programs) Canadian students can't move 'up.' It contributes not only to unemployment but 'under'employment, which is a massive Canadian problem.
@@TheValentine12345 they are not supposed to be. The rule and standard used to always be that they had to show proof that they could support themselves financially. But those standards existed BEFORE Trudeau took office; back when immigration was controlled and was an actual benefit to Canada. Now it costs taxpayers BILLIONS every year, and if the UK statistics are anything to go by, then even first-generation Canadians would still be a "net negative" to the system. I say this as a first generation Canadian whose parents came here at a time when you still had to have a sponsor, and you could not apply for any government assistance including healthcare and government housing. That the sponsor would be financially responsible for you if something happened, including a health crisis. Now all that has changed, and the standard is so low, they are even letting people over 65 in the country to become citizens, knowing they will be a full and complete drain on our system.
@@WinstonSmithRoom101 fair too Theres lots of jobs im qualified for havign been a born and raised canadian but cant even interviews for as indian students are hoggin all the spots and getting their friends in... who are also indian students. Im a Canadian Punjabi person, with parents from India. They worked so hard to give me whst i had now im having to fight to even get interviews in my own country... so unfair
The purposely do not make those jobs accessible to Canadians because they have to pay them a fair wage and don't want to because of greed it hurts their bottom line.....
We're cooked only if Canadians elect a CONservative federal government. 6.6% is considered full-employment in economic circles. Global appears to be a pawn for the Conservative Party. The current unemployment rate is actually low.
@@colewillette6162 We are cooked if we vote NDP/Liberal govt again. Ontario was destroyed with Wynne. It takes 20 years to repair what the Liberals have done.
How has it risen when everyone needs at least two jobs just to be able to eat every day? I think the unemployment numbers are much higher than they are letting on. We have known that Trudeau's policies have destroyed Canada; let's hope that an election gets called soon, and then the new government will actually start enforcing immigration laws.
@@patrickcowan8701 well I know they changed how they calculated inflation- they dropped some numbers and faked others so that BOTH countries could claim they "have inflation under control". I know by the old 1980's standard (which was already changed to make the numbers appear lower), inflation would be in the double digits still.
It is, the unemployment rate only includes people have have recently applied for jobs. Took a few weeks off applying? Took a 3 month course? Well now you're not apart of the unemployment rate, (even though you still have no job) it's a very deceptive statistic, and is much worse than it let's on.
Who benefits the most from cheap foreign labour and the resulting domestic wage suppression? Business. Who donates the most money to the Conservative Party? Business. There's no way that a Conservative government will change current immigration policy.
Dude. Literally every single job has been taken by foreign workers. Have you ever been to a McDonald’s? There’s not one single person at one fast food restaurant where I’m from that is actually from my town. Soooooo?
These companies are hiring foreign workers because there’s government programs that subsidize their wages, some is high as 70%. These companies are turning mayor profits not having to pay full wages, and tax payers are footing the bill.
@@fredstone5872 Yet everyone blames the foreign workers and not the greedy businesses and the politicians who serve them. It's just like the end of the nineteenth century.
Please change your title to rise of unemployment for real Canadians. Immigrants have jobs or just become criminals and still get approved for unemployment cheques.
Duh .!!! People are tapped out .!! High interest rates coupled with paying over 50% in income taxes to rip off revenue Canada what do you expect .!! Abolish income taxes and see how well the economy will grow .!! Until then bye bye
I’m a college student who needs money ASAP but everyone who has the jobs are foreign and can barely even speak English properly. I lost 400$ because my boss replaced me with Indian workers WHO WERENT EVEN IN SCHOOL and couldn’t speak English either! Now his company is in shambles. I hate it here.
How lovely -- we live in a high tax jurisdiction with a high cost of living coupled with a lousy economy that has no lucrative jobs or industries. LOL. Good luck.
Recession, recession, recession, recession, recession, recession, told you so and the only person you can blame or entity is our Canadian government they are the ones to blame not Canadian citizens it’s by design to get kids in the college a high tuitions and have absolutely nothing more than when we get out because every different province has the same courses roughly and there’s not enough jobs in each and every province it’s by design to pay those loans even if you get nowhere in life after college sorry but it’s true what government does his by design when you get older eyes open wide if you step back and look what you doing what they’re doing to Canada? Simple as that. If you’re going into college on the healthcare side you’ll find employment but anything else you’re at your own risk hundreds of thousands of people trying to get the same job in Canada and each and every province. That’s what I design that’s why we have high unemployment in Canada as a whole.
Quit university now and enroll in trades, construction, welding, hvac, drilling, hydraulics. Red seal. Full employment guarranteed if you are suitable. Great pay. But if you stay at university, you end up with $30k debt and you havent got any employment.
@@TheValentine12345As an Indian living in India 🇮🇳 I know Indian students in canada struggling to get jobs too btw in Windsor.. so that ain't gonna help
they have placed millions of international students since the pandemic. and became PR and other become citizens and then work 3 jobs or more while Canadians who have been unemployed for many years even if you have canadian experience for.many years, you can't even get a job because there are too many people in Canada and then it's expensive to buy food and rent. here in toronto.
My teachers in elementary used to tell me, study hard so I can land a good job in the future. I finished high school and college, but got rejected at a retail store.
Where and who are these unemployed people? Whare are rheir skilles? I talked to business people every day, and they can't find work. They have to compete so hard to find people. Everyone just takes government jobs. Are people not willing to move to find work?
Why don't immigrants do like in their own country and get creative. Shwarma/Naan carts, rickshaw drivers, service for everything you could possibly need, why does their mindset change when they come to Canada?
" The all by designed system is working" 👍 unemployment, 👎🏻Everything unaffordable 👎🏻, crap public healthcare,👎🏻 homelessness 👎🏻 highest crime rate 👎🏻 🇨🇦👈 welcome to Canada 2024 👍
I work right now with three international students and they tell me how they’re going to work the system to stay! They actually in my field have taken jobs from other Canadians they have no interest in being a citizen they’re going to work send money home and leave in five years.

It's like the blind leading the blind. I have an idea, consider this...we use modern technology with an Indigenous perspective by creating human-made mycorrhizal network to ensure safe housing, clean water, healthy food, quality education, and full health care for everyone, with a system of coming to the most logical and ethical solutions quickly, and a community builder simulator to plan future development to be in harmony with the Earth and with each other, so kids and adults can earn at least a living wage from a place where they feel safe and loved, working towards an ensured basic standard of living for everyone, while achieving self actualization in the process.
