I have 2 Aunts that were in Carlisle from ages 5--14. We are Blessed to have them still with us on Mother. My fam had 6 people die on Trail of Tears. This vid is hard to watch dry eyed. But the Creator has given us today only, so we live where our feet are, everyday, and keep moving forward. Stay Strong my Brown Bros & Sisters.

When I did the research on the Indian history in the U.S. , it was far worse genocide than Hitler ever could.....horrible the horrors of men to children....unreal......and if anyone wants to claim reparations.....the 80+ NORTH AMERICAN TRIBES ARE OWED MASSIVE REPARATIONS....BEYOND ANY OPORESSED RACE KNOWN TO MAN.....THIS IS NO JOKE

I'm so sorry this happened to all of you. Like June said I'm not Native American (I wish I were you have a proud and noble heritage), but I'm sad and enraged about what happened and the state of the reservations today. The casinos are the least of what the government and the church needs to do in reparation in the U.S. and Canada.

My mother was forced to go to the school in Kamloops and she suffered mental illness all her life. We had no idea what caused this at the time.

It being a cemetery it needs to be looked after. I do believe that slavery should be taught in schools. That and all the famous people that came from slavery.

Respect. I have spent my life with Médecins Sans Frontières and have seen the worst of humanity as well as selfless love. After Medical School I came down with a lethal genetic disorder, landing me on Hospice. No Medical School can prepare you for the "Sharp Side of the needle" but I have Hope from Awareness and Education! My Students now GO to those places in the World I cannot, where War seems to Supersede Compassion. All Return Scarred from Humanity's Cruelty, and Compassion. Let me rephrase. I’m a catholic, but this is a horrible thing the Catholic Church allowed!!! My thoughts about the indigenous peoples is they were true spiritual people who protected the land and all God’s creatures and only killed animals for a food , but they used all the parts of said animals. Then we ran them off of their lands and took over! The same happened in the USA and they are victimized even today! I know in Canada they don’t even care about the young people who are killed and not investigated. It’s so very sad 😢

Since I was a child, I was taught We are all just God's Chess Pieces, for him to move on the board, where he wants us, to meet ppl he wants us to meet, but also, for miracles like this. Was the first story also God's will? There was nothing godly about the priests and nuns running those schools. Children dying and their parents never told .Children being abused mentally, physically and sexually. The children weren't savages the Catholic Church was.
